  1. Hey, dumb fuck - perhaps there's a reason people don't want to be in your town square?
  2. Naw. It has to be fucking excruciating and absolutely undeniable that the Republicans were responsible for them to feel any meaningful blowback. See the pandemic. At this point, I'm of the view that is has to be every bit as bad as feared for us to get out of this spiral.
  3. Jesus never really MEANT that part ... Anyone that bothers to quote that part ain't a real Christian.
  4. Fucking Joe and Mika ...
  5. If I didn't know better, after watching this, I would have thought the LegalEagle guy was Brisket. Holy shit - don't watch this before you go to bed because hearing all of this rattled off back-to-back will keep you up at night. I had started to laugh about shit in the Cabinet thread, but the schadenfreude isn't going to be enough to keep me going if all this ends up coming to pass.
  6. We should send him a "Sorry you didn't see this coming" condolence card.
  7. As long as the money ends up in the right pockets, I'm sure that's a win in their book.
  8. So you would prefer some Lindsay Graham-style theatrics? Look, I acknowledge that facts probably don't matter (said so right there in my post), but I'm thinking that this time that things might just get bad enough (and obvious enough) that some facts might make it through the almost impenetrable shell of the Republican echo chamber, and if so, some predictions on the record that prove true might help the dumbshits ultimately draw the right conclusion ... for once. Or not. This is America after all.
  9. Got some bad news for you - we have plenty of companies that are more than happy to burn down that forest for free as soon as they know nobody is going to punish them for doing so.
  10. I expect him as Sec of Agriculture. I mean, someone has to protect the frogs ...
  11. This right here. Dems should ask all the questions to point out the absurdity of the nominee and highlight what could (and probably will) happen with these dipshits serving, but if the Rs want to approve them, that's on them. Ultimately, facts may not matter because half the country is so goddamn stupid, but the Dems should lay as many breadcrumbs as they can at the front end so that they can say, "We told you this would happen. It was the inevitable result of their nominations and Project 2025. The Rs are controlling all the levers of government, so don't point at us for the shitshow. We've done all that you've empowered us to do, which unfortunately ain't much."
  12. This should be interesting ... Here’s Why I Decided To Buy ‘InfoWars’ - The Onion
  13. I think I see the flaw here, though ...
  14. Hannity then pressed Habba one last time. “Alright, serious question. If you were asked to serve in that role or any other role, would you?” he questioned, to which Habba replied, “I am very loyal to President Trump. I would think about it very seriously.” Watch above via Fox News. I mean, it is the natural progression of things ...
  15. I was assured that Trump's reasoning for wanting "the kind of generals that Hitler had" was not tied to the fear of coups / ability to sic the military on his people. I'm assured of this ... By the way, I pray that I'll be able use this gif for the next four years ...
  16. The issue was a loser for the Dems regardless. We can Monday morning QB this to death, but they were going to lose some Muslim votes or some moderate votes once the Israelis pressed their atrocities. The Dems made a reasonable bet, which was that Muslims would realize that Trump was going to be far worse for their cause than Harris. For chrissakes, EVERYONE (including Muslim leaders) told them so, and most realized that Harris just couldn't be vocal about it. At some point, voters need to realize the political games going on under the surface, but here they didn't. FAFO.
  17. Don't worry - Aileen, Clarence or one of their brethren will hold his hand through the process until he can articulate a colorable enough position to bankrupt anyone that had the temerity to question Dotard's integrity.
  18. Makes you wonder how many "terrorists" are going to disappear down by the gravel pit over the next four years ...
  19. Most of us aren't cheering on the mass murder of innocent human beings - we're just ready for the idiots of this country to realize that there are consequences for their actions. We hoped that it wouldn't take Gaza being wiped out, or family members being wrongfully deported, or tariffs put in place that light inflationary fires, or a hundred other things that are going to happen to make it clear, but that's not the world we live in. The problem is that if the Democrats get in the way of any of this at all, the GOP is going to point at them and say, "See??? They fucked it all up!!!" and it will work - AGAIN (as it always does). So we're at the place where all there is to do is sit back and say "As a reminder, this is what's going to happen - you voted for it" and then when it happens, repeat over and over again "We told you what was going to happen, and you voted for it. Don't vote for them again because they will fuck you over and over again." Maybe it will work - but probably not.
  20. I'd be careful counting Manchin as a Democrat, especially on a vote to appoint a liberal SC justice, and we all know Sinema is not to be trusted (especially as an "Independent" with a future at Fox News), which is why I referred the Dems senate majority as fragile. I suspect that Sotomayor is assuming the Dems wouldn't be able to get any successor "worthy of replacing her" through the Senate, which is why she's not stepping down. The liberal justices unfortunately don't seem to be good at objectively assessing their own mortality in connection with these sorts of calculations - to the country's unfortunate peril. I mean, what could go wrong?
  21. I look forward to that happening ...
  22. So is now the time to re-visit whether Kagan and Sotomayor should step down? The Senate majority is fragile, but how do we feel about the Dems having any firmer control over the Senate over the next decade the way things are currently going?
