  1. So to recap, the recent NC Senate polls have been: Civiqs (5/2-4): Cunningham 50% / Tillis 41% (D+9) Meredith (4/27-28): Cunningham 44% / Tillis 34% (D+9) SurveyUSA (4/23-26): Cunningham 41% / Tillis 39% (D+2) PPP (4/14-15): Cunningham 47% / Tillis 40% (D+7) Based on the recent polls out of AZ, NC and CO, it's feeling like my money should go to Gideon out in Maine and maybe Bullock in Montana (though he may not need the money due to name recognition). Then again, out of pure animus, part of me thinks I should throw some extra $$ to Harrison and McGrath. Starting to love the way the Senate map is shaping up.
  2. "AMERICA IS RESPECTED AGAIN!"
  3. Based on Worldometers, Texas has a fatality rate of around 2.8%. If you do a sort, most of the states under 3% (of which there are around 10) are R strongholds, which makes it seem like they may not be counting some deaths that other states would count. It looks like the average fatality rate for states without huge outbreaks (e.g., NY, MI, LA, etc.) is in the 4-5% range.
  4. I'd just like to offer a big thanks to those of you that have been keeping b_t's insufferable ass fully engaged in this thread and off of the rest of the board. I don't know if I could handle it if he was littering every other thread with his shit.
  5. Jesus christ, it's time to work out a way to tag these dumb fucks so that (1) people can avoid them if they see them out and about and (2) hospitals can tell them to fuck all the way off when they come into hospitals demanding assistance (or, even better, lock them up together so that they can't infect anyone else at that point because you know they will try if left free).
  6. Come on, man - everyone knows that the very powerful light will kill all the 'Rona outside ...
  7. Dropping nuclear bombs on hurricanes. Shining UV light on the inside of people's bodies to treat COVID. Injecting disinfectants to treat COVID-19. Oh yeah -
  8. Absolutely - I'm hopeful that all of the patriots out there anxious to get back to work will take their president's words to heart. (BTW - love Birx's expression in the background ...)
  9. I'd propose we open up Kentucky and WV for business and close all borders leaving those states. Given 68.5% and 62.5% of the voters in those states voted for Trump, I'd assume they'd be on board, right?
  10. I'm pretty sure that t-shirt was a misprint from his group's "Tranny Response Team" offering back in the Great Bathroom Crisis of '17.
  11. I hear ya, but you gotta think about the volume of fuckers that deserve to go for the last 3+ years. We can't just have bodies hanging around when so many still deserve their due. Unless we can get gibbets production ramped up quickly, we're going to need something with more throughput.
  12. That's Dixon Hur, if I recall correctly. Perhaps we could get our resident expats to prepare a FAQ for some go-to jurisdictions (Czech Republic, Canada, New Zealand, etc.). If the voter suppression works in 2020, it feels like a lot of us are going to be looking at options - and no time like the present to do a bit of research, just in case.
  13. FIFY.
  14. Love this guy - so therapeutic. After watching this, though, I have a theory of how things got out of control in Italy so fast <wiping stray spittle off of my face>
  15. The intro to Idiocracy is so spot on in this regard.
  16. I've been reading good things about New Zealand. I'm too old to learn a new language + I like the idea of being out of the way when the nuclear dictatorships / idiocracies throw down in the wake of this.
  17. Fair point - I was going to leave Newt out given he lives in northern VA, but agree that he's worth a bit of extra driving ...
  18. This concept intrigues me. Might I offer a some potential stops on the tour of "SEC SEC SEC" country: Ted Cruz (Houston) Louie Gohmert (East Texas) Tom Cotton (AR) Marsha Blackburn (TN) Mitch McConnell, Rand Paul and Thomas Massie (KY) Newt Gingrich (VA) Richard Burr (NC) Lindsey Graham (SC) Doug Collins, Brian Kemp and Kelly Loeffler (GA) Matt Gaetz and Rush Limbaugh (FL) Jeff Sessions (AL) Cindy Hyde-Smith (MS) John Kennedy (LA) I understand you might say that's a lot of pissing, but there are a lot of shitty fucking representatives in SEC country. Would you really want to miss any of these graves if you were close by? I think not. Of course, there are a fair number of these assholes that probably won't die any time soon, but we can dream, right?
  19. Until someone can convince Trump that revealing the huge number of unconfirmed cases will work in his favor, we're not going to see him working toward the scale of testing that we need. Only Trump matters. If he could scale up industrial incinerators as a means to hide all of the additional deaths that would result from re-opening the entire economy in one fell swoop, I have no doubt that he'd try it.
  20. I was reading it more as "Owwww-uuuuh." Kind of fitting for the Leopards Eating People's Faces Party in this time of faces getting eaten, metaphorically speaking.
  21. Surprise, surprise ... And the obligatory disingenuous bullshit from the bill sponsor: Fuck these people.
  22. Here you go:
  23. I am definitely expecting to see something akin to this today (although I'm not certain that anyone in his admin has the balls to drag him out of the briefing room).
  24. What do you have to lose? Watch it, I say.
