  1. I'm pretty sure that t-shirt was a misprint from his group's "Tranny Response Team" offering back in the Great Bathroom Crisis of '17.
  2. I hear ya, but you gotta think about the volume of fuckers that deserve to go for the last 3+ years. We can't just have bodies hanging around when so many still deserve their due. Unless we can get gibbets production ramped up quickly, we're going to need something with more throughput.
  3. That's Dixon Hur, if I recall correctly. Perhaps we could get our resident expats to prepare a FAQ for some go-to jurisdictions (Czech Republic, Canada, New Zealand, etc.). If the voter suppression works in 2020, it feels like a lot of us are going to be looking at options - and no time like the present to do a bit of research, just in case.
  4. FIFY.
  5. Love this guy - so therapeutic. After watching this, though, I have a theory of how things got out of control in Italy so fast <wiping stray spittle off of my face>
  6. The intro to Idiocracy is so spot on in this regard.
  7. I've been reading good things about New Zealand. I'm too old to learn a new language + I like the idea of being out of the way when the nuclear dictatorships / idiocracies throw down in the wake of this.
  8. Fair point - I was going to leave Newt out given he lives in northern VA, but agree that he's worth a bit of extra driving ...
  9. This concept intrigues me. Might I offer a some potential stops on the tour of "SEC SEC SEC" country: Ted Cruz (Houston) Louie Gohmert (East Texas) Tom Cotton (AR) Marsha Blackburn (TN) Mitch McConnell, Rand Paul and Thomas Massie (KY) Newt Gingrich (VA) Richard Burr (NC) Lindsey Graham (SC) Doug Collins, Brian Kemp and Kelly Loeffler (GA) Matt Gaetz and Rush Limbaugh (FL) Jeff Sessions (AL) Cindy Hyde-Smith (MS) John Kennedy (LA) I understand you might say that's a lot of pissing, but there are a lot of shitty fucking representatives in SEC country. Would you really want to miss any of these graves if you were close by? I think not. Of course, there are a fair number of these assholes that probably won't die any time soon, but we can dream, right?
  10. Until someone can convince Trump that revealing the huge number of unconfirmed cases will work in his favor, we're not going to see him working toward the scale of testing that we need. Only Trump matters. If he could scale up industrial incinerators as a means to hide all of the additional deaths that would result from re-opening the entire economy in one fell swoop, I have no doubt that he'd try it.
  11. I was reading it more as "Owwww-uuuuh." Kind of fitting for the Leopards Eating People's Faces Party in this time of faces getting eaten, metaphorically speaking.
  12. Surprise, surprise ... And the obligatory disingenuous bullshit from the bill sponsor: Fuck these people.
  13. Here you go:
  14. I am definitely expecting to see something akin to this today (although I'm not certain that anyone in his admin has the balls to drag him out of the briefing room).
  15. What do you have to lose? Watch it, I say.
  16. I'm with you guys. I was a bit encouraged by the Apple / Google app development that was going on because that would be an essential part of starting to open things up. But then I realized that (1) we apparently have no interest in the U.S. in developing a massive rapid testing regime and (2) we have too many paranoid MFers here to make the app effective. Maybe we'll get our shit together in about 9-12 months. But it will take us taking a blind shot at opening things up and killing another 50,000 people before the paranoid MFers buy in. So, yeah, we're going to destroy the economy in the process. I dumped out of my equities a while back, and I've been astonished by the rebound in the Dow over the last week - there's just no reasoned basis for the bounce that we saw. But here we are. The reality will set in soon enough.
  17. Reactivation is a scary concept, but hopefully it's just a matter of a small number of folks having mild relapsing symptoms because they weren't fully recovered but had just fallen below the test sensitivity. If it's reinfection, that would be pretty awful as it might suggest immunity only lasts 2-3 months in some subset of the population. That would mean that it would be hard to get people back to work and could mean producing a vaccine might be really tricky. Trying to give the entire country boosters every 2-3 months seems pretty impractical, even if we could produce a sufficient quantity.
  18. Why won't this fat fuck and/or Dotard just die already?
  19. Here you go.
  20. That's a legit concern. For those that haven't read about what BLKNSTY is referring to: Couple that with the news about the GOP fundraiser that had just opened a business selling hard-to-find medical supplies, and it's the type of shit that will have you scratching your head. Hopefully Newsom has his supplies accompanied by some state military with embedded media because I could definitely see Trump trying to pull some shit, especially if Newsom gets too much positive press out of this effort.
  21. You know it is. Bonus points for anyone that can deliver videos of big, burly men with tattoos crying and thanking the President for saving them, their MAGA wives and the entire MAGA brood from certain Kung Flu deaths ...
  22. For those that were interested in the Maddow piece. I miss confidence-inspiring leadership like this.
  23. NSIAP, but an interesting story about the success that Newsom has had procuring masks on behalf of California (with the potential to provide some of the surplus to other western states): https://losangeles.cbslocal.com/2020/04/08/coronavirus-california-to-get-200m-masks-per-month-newsom-says/ He was on Maddow talking about it last night. It's amazing to think what a united group of states - some might even think of them as "United States" - might be able to do for our healthcare workers if they banded together to act in times of crisis. Too bad we don't have "United States" acting on their behalf right now ...
  24. Yeah, but a negative net worth would seem to imply that he has any intention of paying off his debts, which we all know he does not.
