  1. Craig said Texas is wearing burnt orange jerseys, with Texas emboldened in white script lettering on the front, with white block numerals on the back, the sleeves adorned with a white Longhorn head.
  2. It's gotten a little louder for Keith and Craig. I think they have made it to the moon.
  3. Yes, they are but the sound is bad, field mic is higher than Craig and Keith.
  4. Don't bring me down, groos. 😃 It's an inside joke about the lyrics, if you know you know what I mean.
  5. The sound for Craig and Keith is low and the field sound high. That was ELO as in Electric Light Orchestra between innnings. Missed hit and run signs instead of straight steals.
  6. I keep thinking these are missed hit and runs, but I don't know now. It's hard with this crazy sound and ELO blasting.
  7. The base running outs now deadlocked at 2-2.
  8. The field mic makes that sound louder than Keith and Craig. Might want to adjust that.
  9. Left fielder seemed to think he had a play on it. If there is any wind it probably gave it a little boost.
  10. If it had been a fly Craig would have described it. The fly was of the normal house size, with a green head, with blue veins on his clear wings.
  11. What was all that banging there between innings? Sounded like Craig was trying to kill a fly.
  12. Base running outs abound by both teams.
  13. Guy at third hesitated and it cost him, not exactly running on contact.
  14. That wasn't close at second. Wonder if it was supposed to be a hit and run. Always followed by a hit it seems.
  15. Well, still got a game against Prairie View Aggy. I think you could unload the bench and part of the Yeti Yard and still be ok in that game.
  16. Stewart gives you another lefty hitter in the lineup. Probably not that big a deal midweek though.
  17. I thought she was good at baseball.
  18. Hard to quarrel with Bing getting another shot after the outing he had last Tuesday night. Will he be followed by another "Howard Mania" experience also like last Tuesday night is yet to be known. It was quite the one-two punch after pitching fell apart before they came in. Of course, you need to do it more than once for it to become a thing.
  19. As soon as CDC became AD at Texas, the countdown began on when Schlossnagle would be the head baseball coach at Texas. A great working relationship is putting it mildly, they are nearly joined at the hip. I would still like to know if they go on three-hour walks together each week on the forty acres like they did at TCU.
  20. Yes, this is a big part of the stopwatch use. I think the standard was anything over 3 to 3.5 seconds was considered slow and a good candidate to steal on. You can time the entire process on a steal, pitcher delivery and catcher time to complete a throw to second. This can be subjective though because depending on the pitch and location it's going to affect that time. A breaking pitch in the dirt is going to be slower than a high fastball. Whether a batter swings or not is going to make a slight difference. The stopwatch use was like an early use of analytics that are used and sometimes to me overused as in shifts of all kinds on defense. It's just something used to hopefully get an edge over the opposition. Stealing signs was probably the earliest way to try to get an edge and of course still going on today. It's all part of what people think is a simple game, it's really not if you know what is going on. With every pitch somebody is communicating with somebody on defense and offense through signs and now modern technology.
  21. I think the better statement might be no matter if anybody didn't agree with him being fired, it was still going to happen. That anybody that knows about the University of Texas should understand that.
  22. It's a stopwatch. He can time a runner going to first. He can time a pitcher's move to first. Anything he wants to time.
  23. No, they don't, the football team turned it around and if Lagway hadn't got injured they would have been much better, they were beating Gorgia till his injury and then an injury to their starting running back. When he got back, they beat Ole Miss and kept them out of the playoffs, then won a bowl game. Going to Gainesville and facing them next season will be no picnic. As far as their baseball team that was ranked #11 and will still be ranked top top twenty or better. They opened up their SEC season against #1 Tennessee and then #4 Georgia, they will be just fine. Every team has to face this SEC conference guantlet.
