  1. What was that? Mr. nonchalant.
  2. Two very hard-hit balls in a row. Get this third out and call it a great day Riojas. Another hit, I wouldn't wait long, take no chances.
  3. It might have cleared it, at least on it.
  4. Wow, that was Kieschnick like. What a shot!
  5. Another good at bat by Mendoza. Might get Shores pitch count to around 100 this inning.
  6. Never seen Riojas change speeds this much on his pitches. It's like having several different pitches. Just don't hang one, that was what would give him problems. He also has a quality fast ball with some movement.
  7. If the catcher wanted that call, he should have made some contact.
  8. Riojas is changing speed and eye level really well. It's when batters get a third at bat against him, I get worried. Texas would be ecstatic to get five innings out of him today.
  9. The good batting approach continues and that is also a very good thing. Belyeu with another good at bat, was a bit unlucky, but it gets the run home.
  10. Mendoza likes to hit behind a runner at first and that is a good thing.
  11. Fast ball right there and Farmer didn't miss it, thought he might try for two.
  12. He wasn't a regular starter; his dad was a big wheel at Baylor. Good people though got to know his parents too. He was scrappy when he played and was voted the team captain. He knew his future in baseball wasn't as a player, asked Coach Gus to help him get into coaching and he did and had a long coaching career mostly as head coach at SWT, now called Texas State. He's gone through a lot, his parents were killed in a car accident, and he almost lost his life to cancer, that kept him out of coaching for a while.
  13. Rodriguez can really rake from the left side.
  14. He's always sounded like that, knew him when he played at Texas.
  15. Born and raised in Waco.
  16. Self is from Oklahoma and played for Oklahoma State, so he took the call.
  17. Yes, I can imagine, it's called a nightmare. Sark had time to get ready for the SEC SEC. Schloss has hit the road running, there will be bumps in the road, till he gets his roster to the level he had at TCU and Aggy, but it will come. Competing this year on a high level is just gravy, with a side of good coaching
  18. Grubbs has been nails and it's a huge win. It was a shock to the nervous system for LSU. I believe they thought Texas would lay down after last night.
  19. It's Ty Harrington and he played for Texas and was voted captain, so I give him some slack.
  20. The ghost of Rod Dedeaux.
  21. I love it, get ahead on the count, wait for a fastball you're setting on and bang, two more rbi's.
  22. This new approach is how you get deep in their pen.
  23. I think Tulo had a conversation with the hitters sometime tonight. The approach just suddenly changed, and it has really made a difference.
  24. That will do with the infield in.
  25. Cough safety squeeze Cough. Add on.
