  1. The whole team will foul out at this rate.
  2. Army opens at -2.5 over Navy and has gone to -5.5. That still looks pretty low, Army looks like easy money at that price.

    Bert!

Yeah, its kind of is in perfect conditions with a good snap and hold in what is now professional football , no matter how you look at it, at a big-time program or should be.

Would have been a cooler story if Auburn could make a very makable field goal in perfect conditions in a dome stadium, 41 yards with a good snap and hold.

He made a 55-yard field goal with the game, ACC Championship, and the playoff berth on the line. Would you want a faltering Auburn doing that? I think everybody knows the answer to that question.
  6. So what, it was obvious to anyone what was happening. Little SMU went from nothing to a power and anyone and everyone knew why. Even the Governor of Texas was in on it. Like it would never come out if Texas hadn't turned them in if they did. There have been documentaries made about what SMU did. That is totally asinine
  7. I really want to hear the story about how Texas caused the death penalty. Texas was one of the few SWC schools that didn't get some kind of major probation at this time. Aggy was on major probation in three major sports and by rule of "lack of institutional control" should have gotten the death penalty. The only thing that saved them was that the NCAA saw what the death penalty did to SMU's athletic program, which was destroy it. The didn't want to do that again and Aggy survived. The only thing Texas got in trouble for was when Marcus Dupree was on his recruiting visit to Texas, he walked out of a Western Outfitter store wearing a pair of full quill ostrich boots and the store clerk threatened to call the cops, so the assistant coach with him had to pay for the boots. It was great that after Dupree went to OU, that in the Texas vs. OU game that a Texas linebacker not only knocked Dupree out of the game, but completely out of college football. He surfaced later in the USFL football league.

Watching the Clemson kicker make it from 55 yards out with room to spare to win the ACC Championship game doesn't make me feel any better.
  9. Texas would be very lucky to get the #5 slot. Wouldn't be surprised to see Notre Dame or Penn State get the #5 and the other the #6, leaving Texas at #7. 3
  10. Georgia decided they needed to stop the run and aligned defensively to do just that. Texas needed to throw the ball against that defensive alignment and make them pay. Trying to run up the middle against that defensive set was just asking for losses and Texas for the most part got them.
  11. Bond has been hurt for weeks, and it's made a difference, he went from the leading receiver to almost an afterthought. It would have been better to have just set him down till he got healthy with the bad ankle. He just kept hurting it every week. Today he finally just had to hop off the field. This also why he can't block. He was a certain first round draft choice till the injury. He will still get some consideration because when healthy he is a real weapon
  12. It's still a fact wherever it's posted every time.

  16. Five of those losses were blowouts and in the last game against Colorado, it looked like they had quit and were just going through the motions. T. Boone Pickens isn't rising up from the grave to save the day and it looks like the administration and a lot of the fan base want him gone. It could go either way, but I would lean to him being gone. He won't take a pay cut. Fun fact is that T. Boone's daughter from his second marriage Liz, attended UT. I had classes with her and got to know her. I asked her why she didn't go to OSU and she kind of rolled her eyes at me. She said it was easy to pick between UT and OSU and even easier to pick between Stillwater and Austin. Last I heard she did what she said she was going to do and became an art appraiser in New York City.
  17. Why isn't the SEC Championship being played in prime time instead of the ACC title game? Game Day is in Atlanta, and ABC/ESPN/Disney is the network of the SEC. There would be no overlap with a start time that will be after 7 pm. Fox has their Big 10 Championship game in prime time, as expected. I can't imagine ABC is afraid of head-to-head competition with this game. There is no big ABC programming that they want to show in prime time, as the ACC game is being telecast at this time. Do Fox and ABC have some kind of deal worked out on this? I wouldn't think so.
  18. So, this guy is playing a 19-year-old Bob Dylan in a movie. I want Rece Davis to as ask him "How Does it Feel" to pick on your own, like a complete unknown?
  19. Arch coming in for Quinn is far from "another Garrett Gilbert" situation. Manning has started two games and played in others. Gilbert had little to no game at experience at all before coming into that title game against Bama. On of those things in not like the other, kind of easy to see the difference.
  20. Why this guy, what does he have to do with either team, the SEC, or college football?
  21. He definitely does play hard. The only problem is if he plays more minutes, he will get in foul trouble and Shedrick will have to come back in anyway.
  22. What Vinson needs is to put on some good weight and muscle, he doesn't have the muscle to bang with bigs that have the body he doesn't have. If he had the body that Onyema has, he would be great when brought up to speed.
  23. Really needed to have kept the ball in Johnson's hands down the stretch like we did in previous games. He is money from the line. Pope really short armed that free throw, barely got to the rim. Luckily it didn't cost us. Thought they had called foul on Texas on NC St's last possession. It was funny watching Weaver; it looked like he was just going to dribble out the clock, then decided to dunk it, and that did cover the spread. Last few possessions for Texas were bad, need to play smarter, as others have said the SEC really isn't that much of a step down in basketball, or maybe not a step down at all.
