  1. Your right, hey I was lucky to still be in one piece, that bleacher experience with all those pigs still gives me the hives.
  2. I was there in Dallas for that weekend against Xavier with the big comeback and then the tough game against Arkansas. I remember this girl with a big X marked across her face getting in my face because I was wearing Texas gear. I told her you're pretty cute, want to be one of my X's. The other thing I will never forget is this. Do anybody that was there remember these bleachers they put up on both ends of the court? One side was mostly all Texas fans and alums, the other was all Arkansas fans. Texas Ex people I knew in Dallas got three tickets. I thought they were all together, but no. Two were in that bleacher section with the Texas people. One was in that section of nothing but Arkansas hillbillies. When we got to the arena, they handed me my single ticket. I didn't know where it was till, I got inside. I looked at that section and just shook my head, but what was I to do. Honestly, I was the only non-Arkansas person in the whole bleachers and wearing Texas gear. What made it even worse was that it was all the way at the end of a row. I had to walk through the whole row of these piggies to the end, where my seat was. I caught holy hell in the Xavier game when Texas was getting killed. I saw Ed Clemens down below me at the entrance to where the players went to the locker rooms, and I hollered at him. He looked up and I said "help me" and he just shook his head. Then I gave it all back to them when Texas came back. The Arkansas game was even worse of course, the next day. But Texas hung in there and Travis Mayes had a long three pointer to tie the game at the buzzer. It was dead on, and I held up my both arms in hopeful three-point extasy. It hit the front of the rim and seem to hang there and then fell backwards in an agonizing loss in the middle of Pigville. Then I had to walk through that row again because they just stayed and called the hogs, and I wanted out of there. What some don't remember is that the day before Dean Smith's North Caolina team lead Arkansas nearly the whole game till their playmaking point guard fouled out and Arkansas edged them. I believe UNC wins with him in the game and I think Texas could have beaten that Carolina team. I also remember going out in the concourse and watching Chrisian Laettner beat Kentucky on that long pass to him and the long buzzer beater shot to beat Kentucky, it was that weekend.
  3. I would think this was the case, but then what about North Carolina? I think they got in on their name and history. Having Tre Johnson on the team didn't hurt and might have been just the little extra needed to get in.
  4. It could be more than that.
  5. Somebody has to start these games and UTRGV and Texas State twice will require full attention by players and coaches.
  6. SC still isn't good if they were playing on the moon.
  7. OU is overrated to me. They barely scratched out a series win at home against a no so good South Carolina team. South Carolina hasn't played anybody with a pulse but Clemson, who swept them in South Carolina and now OU on the road.
  8. Some TCU coeds may approve of this statement.
  9. What about Bing, is he the midweek starter now?
  10. The teams with way better hitting than MSU will be coming, and I would like to be in the game on Sunday and have some innings pitched before going to the pen.
  11. After two lefty starters, a right-handed starter on Sunday is a different look.
  12. Great game Grubbs. He's my Sunday starter if it was up to me.
  13. Why review that, he was safe easily.
  14. Aggies get swept and now Texas needs to close the deal.
  15. Burns needs to be up and ready, just in case. No reason for him not to be. Also, a lefty too, for situational pitching if needed.
  16. Or make the guy pitch to you and walk in a run.
  17. Might want to make this guy throw a strike.
  18. A four legged woman in commercial. Bring a lot of things to mind.
  19. Mendoza with another big hit in the clutch.
  20. I have given the bunt sign many times and Farmer keeps ignoring me. He has no clue at the plate, just begging for a walk now.
  21. Gasparino had that bag stolen on the prior pitch and that would have scored him. Can't catch a break this inninng.
  22. Moreland and McDonald next week for LSU, the good and the bad.
  23. The wind giveth and takes away, Ball knocked down for a double.
