  1. Georgia decided they needed to stop the run and aligned defensively to do just that. Texas needed to throw the ball against that defensive alignment and make them pay. Trying to run up the middle against that defensive set was just asking for losses and Texas for the most part got them.
  2. Bond has been hurt for weeks, and it's made a difference, he went from the leading receiver to almost an afterthought. It would have been better to have just set him down till he got healthy with the bad ankle. He just kept hurting it every week. Today he finally just had to hop off the field. This also why he can't block. He was a certain first round draft choice till the injury. He will still get some consideration because when healthy he is a real weapon
  3. It's still a fact wherever it's posted every time.

  5. Made this post on the "Atrocious Coaching" thread, it's a fact on this thread too. 7. Five of those losses were blowouts and in the last game against Colorado, it looked like they had quit and were just going through the motions. T. Boone Pickens isn't rising up from the grave to save the day and it looks like the administration and a lot of the fan base want him gone. It could go either way, but I would lean to him being gone. He won't take a pay cut. Fun fact is that T. Boone's daughter from his second marriage Liz, attended UT. I had classes with her and got to know her. I asked her why she didn't go to OSU and she kind of rolled her eyes at me. She said it was easy to pick between UT and OSU and even easier to pick between Stillwater and Austin. Last I heard she did what she said she was going to do and became an art appraiser in New York City.
  8. Why isn't the SEC Championship being played in prime time instead of the ACC title game? Game Day is in Atlanta, and ABC/ESPN/Disney is the network of the SEC. There would be no overlap with a start time that will be after 7 pm. Fox has their Big 10 Championship game in prime time, as expected. I can't imagine ABC is afraid of head-to-head competition with this game. There is no big ABC programming that they want to show in prime time, as the ACC game is being telecast at this time. Do Fox and ABC have some kind of deal worked out on this? I wouldn't think so.
  9. So, this guy is playing a 19-year-old Bob Dylan in a movie. I want Rece Davis to as ask him "How Does it Feel" to pick on your own, like a complete unknown?
  10. Arch coming in for Quinn is far from "another Garrett Gilbert" situation. Manning has started two games and played in others. Gilbert had little to no game at experience at all before coming into that title game against Bama. On of those things in not like the other, kind of easy to see the difference.
  11. Why this guy, what does he have to do with either team, the SEC, or college football?
  12. He definitely does play hard. The only problem is if he plays more minutes, he will get in foul trouble and Shedrick will have to come back in anyway.
  13. What Vinson needs is to put on some good weight and muscle, he doesn't have the muscle to bang with bigs that have the body he doesn't have. If he had the body that Onyema has, he would be great when brought up to speed.
  14. Really needed to have kept the ball in Johnson's hands down the stretch like we did in previous games. He is money from the line. Pope really short armed that free throw, barely got to the rim. Luckily it didn't cost us. Thought they had called foul on Texas on NC St's last possession. It was funny watching Weaver; it looked like he was just going to dribble out the clock, then decided to dunk it, and that did cover the spread. Last few possessions for Texas were bad, need to play smarter, as others have said the SEC really isn't that much of a step down in basketball, or maybe not a step down at all.
  15. Check this
  16. Aggy and Rape are both 8-4, except Baylor has won six in a row. They just took out a hot Kansas bunch last Saturday 45-17. I would give them a real shot at taking down Aggy, they would be more motivated than the sheep bangers too.
  17. Think of having Baxter to put in the game in the fourth quarter when Aggy defensive players were dropping like flies. Wisner was phenomenal, but he is slippery and a patient runner. Having a slasher and big back to just run over people like Baxter, who also has some speed would have been unstoppable.
  18. Let's see how they feel when are playing a November game in East Lansing in a blizzard, to get into a meaningless bowl game. I'm sure they can sell that to top recruits.
  19. If Michigan can beat Ohio State in Columbus this year, I can believe Penn ST can beat Oregon, not likely, but no impossible. Ohio State had Oregon beat till they made that stupid offensive pass interference penalty.
  20. Drunken dog walk munchies are good after some Aggie misery and tears.
  21. Yeah, I saw Blue holding his shoulder and wondered if Wisner could hang in being banged up himself, but fortunately he did.
  22. I think Banks wasn't hurt that bad, they just didn't need him with the way Goosby was playing. He was putting a hurting on some Aggies; it was like Banks never left.
  23. Great sign off with "beat the hell out of Texas in 2025." Good luck with that Gomer.
  24. And that's a wrap, I am thankful for this bounty of Aggy misery and tears.
  25. "A Tale of Two Halves," it was the best of halves, it was the worst of halves.
