  1. I could care less about John Wayne's demise in movies or Molly Miller's hair, and I googled that about Katie Elder, you can deal with them. You think I just made it up. I care about Rodney Terry's continued tenure as a basketball coach. I didn't start any of this. This all started because of a post by others about a mediocre tv show from the 1970's called Kung Fu with a side of John Wayne thrown in. So, you can back off now, Mr. DeMille.
  2. This coming after he played football at the University of Southern California incognito as Marion Morrison on scholarship, where he had some injuries, but never died. Wayne is like Elvis, his presumed death could be premature, he's 117 years old and living large.
  3. John Wayne’s Filmography: The Complete List of Films Where He Died THE SONS OF KATIE ELDER (1965) – John Wayne’s character, John Elder, valiantly faces his death in a dramatic and memorable confrontation, symbolizing the end of an era and leaving a lasting impact on the storyline
  4. You sips still don't get it This from texags. MagnumLoad 8:01p Seriously folks, if this doesn't tear this team apart, nobody wants to play us in May or June. I hate tu. It's in my blood.
  5. Molly Miller the new queen of Surly. I wonder if she knows. Don't tell Nicole.
  6. Was that list good enough to snatch the pebble from your hand, Master Po? I know "The Sands of Iwa Jima isn't a western, but he died in it. I also know there is a couple of more he died in.
  7. Off the top of my head his last movie, "The Shootist," "The Sands of Iwa Jima," "The Alamo," "The Searchers," "Stagecoach, "The Cowboys," and "The Sons of Katie Elder." That's all I can think of.
  8. He didn't win the title though and then dropped them like a hot rock. All part of his and CDC's evil scheme.
  9. John Wayne died in several movies; Terry only dies once as Texas coach and that is enough.
  10. You're right before the grammar police shows up.
  11. Your right, hey I was lucky to still be in one piece, that bleacher experience with all those pigs still gives me the hives.
  12. I was there in Dallas for that weekend against Xavier with the big comeback and then the tough game against Arkansas. I remember this girl with a big X marked across her face getting in my face because I was wearing Texas gear. I told her you're pretty cute, want to be one of my X's. The other thing I will never forget is this. Do anybody that was there remember these bleachers they put up on both ends of the court? One side was mostly all Texas fans and alums, the other was all Arkansas fans. Texas Ex people I knew in Dallas got three tickets. I thought they were all together, but no. Two were in that bleacher section with the Texas people. One was in that section of nothing but Arkansas hillbillies. When we got to the arena, they handed me my single ticket. I didn't know where it was till, I got inside. I looked at that section and just shook my head, but what was I to do. Honestly, I was the only non-Arkansas person in the whole bleachers and wearing Texas gear. What made it even worse was that it was all the way at the end of a row. I had to walk through the whole row of these piggies to the end, where my seat was. I caught holy hell in the Xavier game when Texas was getting killed. I saw Ed Clemens down below me at the entrance to where the players went to the locker rooms, and I hollered at him. He looked up and I said "help me" and he just shook his head. Then I gave it all back to them when Texas came back. The Arkansas game was even worse of course, the next day. But Texas hung in there and Travis Mayes had a long three pointer to tie the game at the buzzer. It was dead on, and I held up my both arms in hopeful three-point extasy. It hit the front of the rim and seem to hang there and then fell backwards in an agonizing loss in the middle of Pigville. Then I had to walk through that row again because they just stayed and called the hogs, and I wanted out of there. What some don't remember is that the day before Dean Smith's North Caolina team lead Arkansas nearly the whole game till their playmaking point guard fouled out and Arkansas edged them. I believe UNC wins with him in the game and I think Texas could have beaten that Carolina team. I also remember going out in the concourse and watching Chrisian Laettner beat Kentucky on that long pass to him and the long buzzer beater shot to beat Kentucky, it was that weekend.
  13. I would think this was the case, but then what about North Carolina? I think they got in on their name and history. Having Tre Johnson on the team didn't hurt and might have been just the little extra needed to get in.
  14. It could be more than that.
  15. Somebody has to start these games and UTRGV and Texas State twice will require full attention by players and coaches.
  16. SC still isn't good if they were playing on the moon.
  17. OU is overrated to me. They barely scratched out a series win at home against a no so good South Carolina team. South Carolina hasn't played anybody with a pulse but Clemson, who swept them in South Carolina and now OU on the road.
  18. Some TCU coeds may approve of this statement.
  19. What about Bing, is he the midweek starter now?
  20. The teams with way better hitting than MSU will be coming, and I would like to be in the game on Sunday and have some innings pitched before going to the pen.
  21. After two lefty starters, a right-handed starter on Sunday is a different look.
  22. Great game Grubbs. He's my Sunday starter if it was up to me.
  23. Why review that, he was safe easily.
