  1. How do you turn down an open layup?
  2. Consistency is not a hallmark for this team. They still can get hot at any time and score. You just never know what they will do.
  3. Not exactly a full house at Moody.
  4. He's a lefty pitcher that throws in the 90's, that's pretty valuable and Texas does have a real pitching coach now. He can really run and could be used as a pinch runner. He could also be a position player in time, if he stays around long enough. He's a top athlete in two sports. Will just have to see how it goes, if he wants to stay in both sports and how long he is at Texas.
  5. Actually, Texas scored a touchdown which made the score for Texas 44 and then Major took a knee to keep it there.
  6. Under investigation.
  7. The guy to watch as a possible starter is Aiden Moffet. He has a 90's fastball and good breaking stuff. His problem at LSU was command. He pitched today and had command of his pitches and was unhittable in his inning of work. He is sort of like LBJ was, but if Weiner has helped him gain control of his stuff, he could fill one of the starting roles. Grubbs and Whitehead will also be in the equation at some point in the season as starters as stated.
  8. Yes, as stated in other posts, he is a "Swiss Army Knife." He could pitch in any place needed, but I think he will be in the bullpen because Schloss likes what he brings there.
  9. LSU is worthy of appearances by Preston Clark and Cole Bott.
  10. Then there is the elite LSU defense. All they need are capes and someone to yell ole.
  11. Riojas and Mercer look like a great combination to finish games.
  12. LSU turns the ball over a lot and is worse on the boards than Texas, a deadly combination.
  13. If only the Ravens had insisted on "Pelfing" for Tucker this could have all been avoided.
  14. Does he really have to score on first and goal from the one-yard line? Doesn't he know how hard that is to do?
  15. We got a skull and bones sticker for a big defensive play, like a fumble recovery or interception. Coaches gave them out for whatever they deemed a "big defensive play" after reviewing the game film.
  16. That bear said he had been coming on texags every week for the last six years. He didn't say he would stop doing that either, said he didn't want to lose that accessibility with them. He seems to be pretty cozy with Aggy, even if they are now riled up at him.
  17. I thought Pierce would come back and coach third base for the Alumni. Since Ivan Melendez isn't coming, he probably declined. He wanted one more chance to get Ivan thrown out at home and possibly injured. It happened on this play for no reason. It wasn't the first time Melendez was thrown out at home by Pierce needlessly. The situation was this in Manhattan, against K-State. Texas is ahead 5-3 with Melendez on first with one out in the top of the 7th. Stehly doubles down the line and Melenez is sent home, though the relay throw is almost to the shortstop as he rounds the bag. Ivan not exactly known for his blazing speed is easily thrown out and suffers a shoulder injury. This killed the inning, which Texas would have scored in. The Wildcats put up five runs in the bottom half of the inning and wound up winning 8-5. Melendez missed the rest of the series which Texas lost 2-1. He was replaced by Gavin Kash. How ironic, see above.
  18. From what I remember it wasn't a "girl" it was a much older woman with big bucks that got Simmons back to Tarrytown. Then Simmons was arrested outside the home on suspicion of burglary because the screen had been pulled off the window. The police had responded to a caller that said a "prowler" was seen in the neighborhood. Simmons was released and suspended like two games till the truth came out and he was reinstated. I remember all the jokes. Simmons should play quarterback because he could run the "naked" bootleg better than anybody. That he was always ready for the "naked bootyleg" call. That he thought "streaking" was still a thing. That he was the naked "cat" burglar.
  19. Where are the Aggies now?
  20. Wild mood swings depending on what happens in the last game. From can't possibility make the NCAA Tourney, to now can make the Sweet Sixteen.
  21. Seems you can sign up for a month.
  22. It says you can cancel at any time, I would think that would include monthly subscriptions. It doesn't go into detail about the cost, unless you sign up. Subscribe & get access to the latest FloSports news, films, and events! - FloCollege
