  1. Favor is not the greatest for groceries, especially relatively large orders. The shopper only receives a list of the items, no picture, no aisle location. They don't have to scan the item to verify it is the correct item, like they do for Shipt and Instacart. We did get a 15 item order from Favor last week. It worked out fine. They automatically add a $10 tip, which is absurd for making somebody go in their own car, use their own gas, walk around the virus polluted store for 20-30 minutes shopping for the order, and then delivering to someone's house. Gave the lady $30 tip on a $45 order and I still felt bad about it. A lot of Favor drivers will reject the HEB orders, because they don't want to have to shop and deliver an order for the $3 + $10 they will get.
  2. You weren't at the table?
  3. If you are going to take steps to eliminate it on your island, then yes, completely shut your border until the vaccine comes.
  4. my last place i went before isolation was Home Depot to get a 5 gallon of paint to paint the inside of my house while stuck in here. i thought how bad could it be? it is a big store with limited number of people in it. well i am in the paint section and the guy who goes around asking everybody if they need to redo their bathroom starts walking up to me. i give him this WTF look when he gets about 3 feet from me. he asks his question and i blow him off saying "no thanks". a couple minutes later I look over and he is literally in a couple's face doing his little spiel. why in the world would HD have this guy doing this? who is getting their bathrooms redone right now? why was there no thought on their part about social distancing?
  5. yeah my GF was doing Shipt on the side. she stopped 3 weeks ago. it became a pain and not worth the risk. they could triple the pay and it wouldn't be worth it.
  6. I guess I am going by how Shipt and possibly Instacart does it. They receive a list of items with the aisle number by each one. It will say "end of aisle 7". Then they have to look for the item and if there is none, they text the customer. They will take a picture of possible replacements. But point is the shoppers have to physically go to the shelves like the customers to pull the products.
  7. obv the guy had 6-7 spades and your kid is a frickin prodigy.
  8. There is no way. If it takes 30 minutes for a customer to shop for their groceries, it takes the same, if not longer for a shopper to shop for them. They have to go around to all of the aisles and pick out all of the items and put them in a cart, the same as a customer. Except if they are out of a specific item, the shopper has to text the customer for a replacement. Customers aren't always timely in their responses. So you would have the same amount of human hours of shoppers in each store as you would if the store has customers. Once they shop the orders, where do they put the groceries? They would need a huge amount of refrigerated and freezer space at curbside. They would need a large group of people to pick out the refrigerated stuff and match with the other stuff at curbside and take out to the cars. How many curbside spots are there now, like 15? You would need to increase to like 100. What they need to do is restrict customers to one person per family. You shop by yourself. This would cut down the number of people in stores greatly. Shopping should be an essential activity, not a social activity. I also like the idea of males can go every other day, and females can go every other day. Stores also need to do better in forcing people in the lines outside to stand 6 feet away from the person in front of them. I saw a picture at a walmart where they were using carts to make spots for people to stand 6 feet away from others in line.
  9. Would be cool if they had a system in place that would automatically analyze a person's cell phone data to prioritize who gets ventilators, medical care, etc. A person that isn't abiding by lockdown at all is last in the list and shit out of luck.
  10. How is Frost taking them? I don't see a place on their website for it yet. Just email it in?
  11. aren't your death numbers the ones with us shutting down most of the economy? what do you think the numbers would be without shutting down most of the economy?
  12. honestly, at this point in time, how does that happen? does he not watch the news? did he not take it seriously?
  13. Not sure I remember the last person like that to receive death threats that received the death part of it.
  14. They have a sample PPP application out... https://www.sba.gov/sites/default/files/2020-03/Borrower Paycheck Protection Program Application_0.pdf
