  1. Well had an interesting table/player last night. Table was pretty normal then a drunk guy from Mexico who spoke little English sat down. He was going outside pretty often to drink or puke. He gave away $1000 pretty quickly. I don't remember how but it seemed like he just gave it away. Well the floor comes over asking everybody if it is alright if he buys in for $3k. Everybody says yes, and 5 of the other players quickly up their stacks to nearly $3k. They are all playing pretty tight just waiting for their spot when this guy and a upper 20ish asian guy to my right get involved. Asian guy is very solid player, not crazy. I didn't pay attention really until the turn and river but there were 2 clubs on the flop. A club on the turn. Going to the river there was ~$500 in the pot, so just about $250 from each player. Asian guy I believe has around $2300 behind. So the river is a King of clubs, the 4th club on the board. Board is not paired. But there is K-Q-10 of clubs on the board, so the Ace of clubs is not the nuts, J-9 of clubs would the the straight flush. The drunk guy says "All-in". The asian guy has this "I can't believe he did that" look on his face and is looking at his cards and the board. He is trying to figure out if there is a way he is beat. After a few seconds he says "I call" and turns over A-J of clubs. Drunk guy turns over A-K, no clubs. The rest of the players looked like they had a punch in the gut.
  2. Go to Rounders in San Antonio. You will find tables like that where everybody but a few guys have $2-5k. And it's $1-2. One time I sat down at the table with $200. After about 20 minutes they gave me $50 to go to another table. They wanted this guy to sit there who when I looked like 30 minutes later has $5k in front of him.
  3. I went to a place out west of San Antonio towards the border that had the machines. Pulled up about midnight. As I went to the door lady opens it and lets us in. They had cameras and let the door locked. There was ~50 slot machines in there. You could grab a free little bag of cheetos and a Dr Pepper. All of the machines were very old and obviuosly ones that casinos threw out a couple decades ago. To cash out it had to be over a certain amount, I don't remember how much. You would call the lady over and she would take a picture of the screen on her phone and give you the money. It was a weird experience. I googled after that, and found out the counties sell licenses for each machine. Yeah it's illegal but these poor counties are getting money. They are able to keep raising the price of the licenses because the machines make a killing.
  4. Warning on Battalion that it's loud as fuck. Usually I don't notice too much but with this place it's frickin loud. I went to Chris Madrids once since the fire to their truck and it was bad. Maybe I just got unlucky. I am someone that loved the place.
  5. As many shows as I have been to, I can barely think of any. Saw Renee Zellweger at Doyle Bramhall show, but that was expected. Saw Brooks Kieschnick at Don Williams show.
  6. This is probably my biggest leak as far as money management. I have been playing for several hours and am down to like $100 (buy in for $300) and I end up gambling trying to double or triple up. I really should cut my losses and just leave, realizing it isn't my day. I understanding if I have 3 days in Vegas I have to make things happen, but since I can go to card rooms everyday now at home, I shouldn't be in that mindset. But I am.
  7. It is possible that the n-word was not said, but Garrett thought it was said. The problem with that is Garrett's words and action right after the incident don't lend to the fact that he thought he heard the n-word. But if he is sued can it be proven that he didn't believe he heard the n-word? I don't know.
  8. maybe one day we can go to all robotic cops that can make perfect decisions and take out all of the inherent human emotions that happen during encounters, but until then, don't cause a human being to have to make a split second decision regarding your life.
  9. "Using their power to try and affect a Presidential election" CNN - guilty as charged House Democrats - guilty as charged
  10. If he does it will be when he gets around midfield.
  11. Holy shit every commercial is like a Benetton ad. Advertisers these days are so scared.
  12. I frickin love Shanahan's coaching in this game. He knows exactly what his team is and has a plan and sticks to it.
  13. Dude the absolute number one goal you have in that situation, where you get the ball first in second half, is not to give the ball back to Mahomes with time to score in the first half. You stop the clock a couple times without getting first down and now KC has ball with a minute left. If you break a run and get it out to your own 40, yeah you then change your strategy.
  14. Come on. Judging whole games based on the first drives has proven not to be a good strategy.
  15. Not the best play to run on third and short in 4th down territory. It was a play that could knock you out of going for it range. But it ended up working.
  16. Only thing he needs to say is "do you want to kick or receive?" It's is a simple question. Do some coaches just send their captains out there without training them? 49ers know what they are doing. There is one guy who says "defer". There aren't four guys looking at each other.
  17. For the Chiefs to win it is going to take a Jordanesque performance at the end by Mahomes. I can see him starting off a little shaky.
  18. since you said San Antonio, just check. they don't fold in San Antonio.
  19. I will make sure my daughter stays there if available. This way I know she will be safe.
  20. how does this ignore thing work? i think it is time.
