  1. is that your way of saying you are the cool guy hanging with a bunch of dorks?
  2. Yeah that's the thing. Can't just call the plays. Have to work on them and have everyone block properly.
  3. Just want to say how great the play call was OSU inside their own 5 with the running back screen. Really wish we would add that to our playbook especially in that situation.
  4. weird game in that we only had 4 possessions each half. really can't afford to make mistakes, by players or by coaches. loved the ending of that game. didn't give them a chance. thought that Coach Snyder gave a master class in coaching that second half, except for having to use the two timeouts. don't remember the situations, so maybe he really needed to call them.

I think the hog's defense keeps them in the game.
  8. Exactly what a coach should do. See he is doing something that might fuck us at some point and nip it in the bud. Don't wait until it actually fucks us.
  9. while true, imagine he didn't do it. how shitty is it that someone should go through all of this and have his career damaged to this extent simply on the fact that somebody lie and said he did. seems like to damage his career like this there should be more than a story.
  10. list of Big 12 teams that would be better than aggy in the SEC west. Texas, OU, TCU, OSU, West Virginia, KSU, Iowa State, Tech.
  11. when arkie misses a tackle. they really miss a tackle.
  12. reverse jinx only works if you don't say that is what you are doing.
  13. i hope clemson has a backup QB who can play. actually i don't care, but they might need one.
  14. if the grading scale for the school is 50 to 100, I don't get the problem with giving 50's. that is the lowest grade you can get. if their scale is 0 to 100, then it makes no sense.
  15. makes me a little sad watching that.
  16. the thing i remembered at the time was we got a 1st and 10 at the TCU 47 and we did not have LJH in the game. I don't get it. These are the type of possessions that we have to make the most of, and having your best players in the game is making the most of. At least make the defense have to focus on LJH.
  17. yes, the OL has to block, the play action needs to work. also important is that you work on these specific situations with your players. the QB only has one place he is going with the ball. he doesn't have to go back and look for an open receiver. he is dropping back and throwing deep/semi-deep sideline. he has to be trained to throw the ball or if rushed throw it away. the receiver needs to be trained on how to draw the PI. he also needs to be trained on how to not let the defender catch it by mauling him, or if the pass was deep enough letting the receiver catch it and tackling him (good as a punt). It is all about coaches and players all understanding the specific situation and what they are supposed to do.
  18. This play from last year's game illustrates the difference in Snyder's understanding of the game versus our offensive coaches' understanding. 3rd and long from their 1 yard line. Our coaches basically give up in this situation because a feeling that a pass play is way too risky right there and we run the ball for a couple of yards. Snyder does exactly what you should do. Throw deep to the sideline man on man and try and get the pass interference. Really not risky at all, but high reward when it works. And it seems to work against us a lot. The receiver can catch the ball for a first down. He can draw the pass interference for 15 yards and a first down. He can break up the INT by mauling the DB if he needs to. No defense would ever accept the penalty when they would have a 4th and long by declining it. So K-State ends up going ahead and scoring a TD on this drive. We would have run the ball for two yards, punted, and gave the opponent the ball at our 40 if we are lucky. https://youtu.be/8m6s_UY-OKE?t=34m5s
  19. so you are telling me there is plenty of leftover avocados and watermelon.
  20. going for it was not the right call because we are not good at short yardage. if we're good at it then sure go for it. pitching the ball is just a horrendous call. greg davis liked to do that on 4th and short and it never worked. not sure what Herman has against the wildcat. it seems to be a very effective play on sort yardage and LJH is pretty good at it.
  21. once patterson punted, he had to go for the punt block after they stopped us on 3 running plays. blocking a punt for a TD was his only shot at winning that game. he needed a quick score. can't believe he did not even try to block, especially if he watched our previous games and how close people have been coming to our punts.
  22. I didn't seem to have you in my files as gay. Updated now.
  23. That last play gave me a pretty good idea for a play when you have no timeouts left and have to call a play to get out of bounds to stop the clock. Actually throw the ball in the wide open middle of the field where you can get an easy 20 yards. Then have the receiver stop and throw to your guy who is just behind him but in he sideline. That guy catches it and steps out of bounds.
