  1. This was a game where Milroe was running for his life.
  2. you saying it is like watching paint dry?
  3. i think the hair under his chin is actually growing up from his chest.
  4. I am really talking about in town where people want to ban them. On the trails, I do agree with you more of the OHV drivers do go faster than they should be.
  5. Lake City gets a lot of hikers from the Colorado Trail (Denver to Durango) come through. They sit by the road at Spring Creek pass and hitch the 20 minute ride into town to stay a night or two and then get a ride back. We always pick them up when driving by there. Got 6 of them in at one time once. Yeah almost had to 'seinfeld' the vehicle after that one. One of the churches has a weekly Sunday hiker dinner and a hiker center where they can go and get snacks and stuff. Also it is a stop for bikers doing the Trans-America trail coast to coast.
  6. I don't mind them. I have been on the loop a few times in other's side by sides. They are better than jeeps for the trails. They are more open and you just get a better peripheral view of everything. But there are people that hate them. The main thing is the noise. They are a lot louder than jeeps. The other thing is the sheer number of them. They come in groups. They kick up a lot of dust. Certain people don't like the type of people who generally ride in them. American flags, etc. The detractors say they speed and drive stupid, but I think they are just looking for things to be annoyed about. They aren't driving any faster thru town than any other vehicle.
  7. Riding on the Alpine Loop in OHV's or jeeps is the other reason people go there. Since Silverton banned OHV's in town starting last year, they have all gone to Lake City. July and the first few weeks of August are very busy now. I have been in Lake City since mid-May and leaving in October. Some people will love it, some people will be bored af.
  8. I hope this coming Saturday isn't his time of the month.
  9. Yeah we just did the drive a couple days ago from Montrose to Ouray to Silverton to Durango to Pagosa Springs. Whole area is beautiful and between all those places you can find any mountain activity you want.
  10. Been on 2 cruises. 1 out of Galveston, 1 out of San Francisco. SF was noticeably worse, though leaving that city was pretty amazing, with the view of the city, passing Alcatraz and going under the Golden Gate Bridge. But it was ghetto AF.
  11. We did Seville last December. Got an apartment for a month and absolutely loved it. Was amazing time to be there because every night there were thousands of people in the streets and there was so much to do during the Christmas season. We were able to do short trips to Cordoba, Carmona, Cadiz, Ronda. But I had heard summers can be pretty miserable. If I was going in the summer, I would definitely keep that in mind.
  12. In April, will be doing 14 straight days on boats. Hawaii to Vancouver, then Vancouver to Alaska. Not a vacation, just a way to get from Hawaii back to the mainland, see Alaska, and pay for room and food for 2 weeks. I go in knowing what it is all about. I actually liked the dining room food on Royal Caribbean the one time I went. I would not do this on Carnival though.
  13. What are your thoughts of the weather in March? We are thinking about going around then.
  14. The Burnt Bean menu reminds me. Best Mollejas I have ever had.
  15. Well you are doing Burnt Bean right. First time I went, we ordered brisket, ribs, sausage. Had a taste of someone's barbacoa and menudo. Holy shit. Only go back for brunch now and just get the barbacoa and menudo. I am sure the BBQ was really good, but don't care.
  16. Just give me $47 and you keep the rest.
  17. Ha I was out front waiting for my ride and that group with the pink hats came out front. Had no clue they were this guy with his posse. They seemed to be having a good time.
  18. Logically that doesn't make much sense to check to disguise the strength of your hand. He knows you know he has an ace. If you check the turn and then bet at all on the river, you are still saying you have an ace or bluffing. If you bet on the turn, he has to make a decision whether you have the ace or you are bluffing that you know he has an ace so if you are betting you must have that beat. He isn't folding the turn after showing the ace to the table. He doesn't want to look like a pussy to the rest of the table. Even if he didn't show I don't think he is folding in a 1/2 game. I think betting relatively large on turn and river is the play. Good thing you didn't though.
  19. Did December and most of January in Spain and absolutely loved it. Not sure how much of that had to do with spending the previous month around Italians though.
  20. Wondering if anybody has an opinion on mystery bounty tourneys. I am booked for June 27-July 3 in Vegas and thinking about the Golden Nugget $1100 Mystery Bounty $1 mill. gtd. Too much $$ goes to bounties in these things?
  21. I second soft cash games at MGM. Caesars and Resorts World can be like pulling teeth trying to get any money in the middle.
  22. Daly still would have had an RBI with a long fly out with the bases loaded.
  23. Not that this is what happened in your case, but Burger King started the whole posting the price for the small combo on the menu board but asking you “would you like a medium or large?” as if those were your only choices. Other places usually ask if you want to upsize. BK tries to trick you into it.
