  1. I am not sure if Ewers wants to flip to us. In a recent interview with Sam Spiegleman, he said the reason he committed to OSU was because they had a great system that won a lot of games and that they developed QBs and put them in the league. It would take Texas a very good season to sway him in my opinion. It will be an even harder uphill battle now with us having a top QB in the class. I just don't see it happening. Ewers is a much better QB than Malik at this point in their career but it may change in 2-3 years. You have to like the tools Maalik have. We just have to wait and see who turns out to be the better college QB.
  2. So the Aggys have their first decent season in a pandemic year when the only decent team they beat was Florida and now they are the big dog in the state? For them to outrank us in recruiting, our program has to be in conplete disarray, which it was last year. Even Herman was able to outrecruit them when he had not so terrible years. Any decent coaching staff or decent record on the field for us guarantees that Texas will outrecruit those faggots.
  3. The only acceptable record is 12-0 in the regular season. Then we beat the living shit out of the sister fuckers of the north in the semi finals. The final is between us and Bama. Sark becomes the first former assistant to beat Satan. We bring Sam back after the game to the podium to declare, "We are Baack!!" Then Tom Herman appears from nowhere and sucker punches Sam out of the podium.
  4. Good thing we have a coaching staff who can develop QBs. I would prefer they take a high ceiling guy and develop.
  5. Didn't Herman have more success out of state in his first full year of recruiting and followed it up with a stronger in-state class the next year?
  6. You're trying too hard, which is working against you. A&M has just one more recruit than us at this early stage of '22 recruiting and yet you tried to make it seem like they were a recruiting juggernaut. Have you seen the 8 other schools ahead of them? Also, they haven't taken anyone that we covet, so why pretend to panic at their so-called momentum?
  7. Can Ramey do anything right? Why does he get so much playing time? It seems like every Texas team has one of those players who just continues to fuck up and yet keep getting playing time.
  8. Those two were infinitely better, instinctive and athletic DBs.
  9. He is a can't miss prospect in this class. We need a few elite WRs in a bad way.
  10. If he gets drafted in the first round, which I think he believes he will, he can afford multiple homes in different cities of his liking. I think the decision will come down to his family. Don't know exactly what went down between them and the previous coaching staff and whether CDC was involved. If the relationship between them and the Texas athletic department was somehow ruptured, it will be a harder flip. Also, sometimes kids like to brag about going to a nationally respected school over a local school. I hope that's not the case here. Caleb appears to be this case and he might have already brainwashed Ewers into thinking like that. It's like, "Hey, Texas has been a joke forever. We are going to a school that everyone respects because they are in the playoff year in and year out."
  11. We will have to agree to disagree. I was a big fan of him since he flipped from LSU to us but he let me down big time. Now if you look at his Twitter, he is liking posts by his former teammates transferring to other schools or BC taking the USC job but no liking of the new Texas staff or anything Texas related. As a Texas alum, he is not easy to root for.
  12. He was the #1 ranked recruit at his position and a consensus 5*. Him, BJ, Green, Overshawn, and Jamison were going to be the best DB class ever!
  13. Yes, he was injured and he had the entire off-season to heal. He was posting videos of how hard he had been training and that wolf was lurking in the background or some bullshit like thay. Then the season started and we know how that turned out. Our fanbase has this unhealthy obsession with certain players so that they can never do anything wrong. It's always the coaches fault or something else. I don't get it.
  14. Nobody hated him when he was playing well. Nobody hated Ossai because he left everything on the field. You're defending a dude who mailed it in after his freshman year. He spent more time hyping himself up on social media, arguing with Sloneal and believing in the Texas social media hype machine. If all you want from the top safety prospect to be a net positive, I don't know what to tell you.
  15. Why would he be forced to play through injuries? It's not like he was helping the team.
  16. How does someone make the decision to move from socal to Norman? I mean the price tag must have been huge!
  17. I am glad this dude is gone. After his Freshman year, the switch went off on him somehow. He was coasting, hiding behind his teammates, late to every tackle and tried to pad stats by following other tacklers. His play wasn't worthy of a 3 star ranking, let alone a 5 star. He was everything Joseph Ossai wasn't.
  18. He was on some preseason Heisman watch list heading into his senior season. I don't know what happened to him. It maybe injuries, too many coaching turnovers, overall team chemistry, bad WR play, Tom Herman, him being fundamentally limited, or a combination of all. My point wasn't about Sam improving through, it was about a QB needing to have just one very good year to be drafted.
  19. Casey will be drafted higher than Sam if he is the QB1 this year. For a QB to be drafted, you only need one good year of tape provided you have the measurables. Having too much tape out there (especially if a lot of it is not flattering) won't help your cause. Sam was wildly inaccurate as a freshman, a label that stayed with him even though his accuracy improved.
  20. I have a bad case of covid, so partying is not in my immediate future. 😂
  21. Card will get a chance to duke it out with Ewers, and if he loses, then I see him transferring but I failed to see him quit before seeing if he can win the job. Ideally, a QB shouldn't be QB1 until his junior year.
