  1. I find it hard to believe that Texas doesn't care about winning. Our admins are just clueless about how to build a winning program. They have a tendency to go after the hot new coach on the scene rather than running a thorough search to determine if the coach is a good fit and if his recent success was due to luck or actual sustainable game planning and coaching. I don't know if this will change anytime soon though.
  2. Texas shouldn't be in a dogfight with teams with far inferior talent every week. You can't blame refereeing for the lackluster product Texas puts out.
  3. This is what A&M said when they couldn't win in the Big 12. How did that work out for them?
  4. When you hire an inexperienced coaching stuff, they just don't know what to do at critical moments. Herman should have told his team not to jump offside because that would be the worst thing to happen to them. It's almost like the staff is learning on the job. This is why you hire proven coaches at the highest level.
  5. Was there any doubt that this would happen?
  6. Juan Mitchell watches his man get separation and decides to chase him after he makes the catch. That is great fundamentals!
  7. We will attempt to come back in the second half and come up short. Then Tom Herman will tell us how proud he is of the fight and not giving up.
  8. Do we have any trick play that we can use to get some momentum?
  9. Coaches obviously don't trust Sam to make the throw in critical situations and they don't trust the WRs to make a play either. We are doomed!
  10. Our linemen are falling face down and playing dead.
  11. If you think TH would start anyone besides Sam, I don't know what to tell you.
  12. I am told Oscar Giles skipped his afternoon nap once this week to teach his group toughness. Bet the firm on Texas and thank me later.
  13. Texas is sleep walking. They better wake up or we are gonna have a repeat of last year's Radford game.
  14. I am not defending my no-brainer statement and I hear your position as well. We are way past that argument now. I am just pointing out some quirks in our legal interpretation of violence in various situations.
  15. I find it interesting that in a Domestic Violence case, the public prosecutor can choose to prosecute if there is clear evidence of violence but the same rule won't apply to other situations.
  16. Who provokes a confrontation is not usually the primary determinant on who is at fault in an assault case. The person who strikes in retaliation gets the blame. Whatever Rudolph did (and I agree he was acting like a bitch) doesn't warrant MG's action.
  17. Why shouldn't there be a criminal assault case filed against Miles Garret? If you do the same thing outside of the field, or even in the stands, it would be a no-brainer. I am genuinely curious to know if assaults on the field (unrelated to the game) are exempt from criminal prosecution or are the rules so much more relaxed that the only way a player can be prosecuted for his actions on the field is if he seriously injured someone.
  18. Texas is going to eke out a win this weekend. Tom Herman has made a name by winning these types of games.
  19. Like most highly recruited players at Texas, Malik was coddled too much and was given a celebrity status even before he proved himself. Most players can't fight through the fame to maintain their edge, but some do. You can blame LHN for the culture we now have at Texas. Poona, not being drafted, was probably the best thing that could have happened to his pro career assuming he stays healthy until the next contract.
  20. How can they be losses if Drayton didn't want them?
