  1. I can’t believe Arizona is hosting. I get they won the regular season title and tournament but the PAC was awful this year. At the very least if you are going to give Arizona a regional you can’t give Oregon State one too
  2. Would take both those regionals given those 3 seed matchups
  3. Oral Roberts is not good at all this year but they just won the Summit League tourney and I know Oklahoma State will probably be having nightmares about that 4 seed matchup
  4. USC up 3-0 on Arizona in the 5th of the PAC 12 championship. Which would be a stolen bid. USC looking for their second tournament appearance since 2005 and first since 2015. I know it’s not breaking news but it’s amazing the cliff dive that program took
  5. I would like OSU chances more with their pitching if they didn’t seemingly choke every year under Holliday. OSU was the best pitching staff in the Big 12 and we took 2/3 from them by outpitching them. OU was the best offense in the Big 12 and we took 2/3 from them by outhitting them. Baseball is a fickle game
  6. Lamar will not be making the field, you can rest easy
  7. There is bad and then there is whatever this is
  8. Yeah Florida is in a tougher situation because of the mid major competition in Florida and the fact that they play that 3 game mid week set against Florida State. I was just surprised D1 didn’t even have them last four in. I would be pretty surprised if Florida made it with the 0-1 SEC tournament showing
  9. It’s going to happen for sure but you still have to piece together enough of a quality non conference record to justify it. If Florida was 6-2 against Q2 teams instead of 2-6 I’d have no problem with them being in the field
  10. Running a college baseball program, not a lemonade stand. You don’t make macro decisions based on micro results.
  11. Can’t believe D1 baseball is projecting Florida in the field and they don’t even have them as one of the last four in
  12. The names that have been floated around here mostly are Erik Bakich (Clemson), Tom Walter (Wake Forest), and Mitch Canham (Oregon State). Between Walter (26), Bakich (13), and Canham (3), they have 2 CWS appearances combined in 42 full seasons as head coaches. Tom Walter is the only one who has won his conference with 3 at George Washington and 1 at Wake Forest. Canham is currently the only one with a recruiting class ranked in the top 15 the next two seasons with his 2025 class being ranked 15th currently. Texas currently has the #3 class in 2024 and #2 in 2025. Recruiting in baseball though is very fluid.
  13. He is, with a year of eligibility left
  14. They were probably already in but UCF just cemented their at-large bid
  15. Didn’t see it mentioned and almost forgot about it but on senior day Charlie Hurley was holding LBJ’s picture that the team gave all the seniors so I assume that means he has made his decision to enter the draft.
  16. I believe this is the part where you realize you have made a dumbass out of yourself, have a good night dude
  17. You just don’t understand the difference between something not mattering and actively trying to lose. Texas played like shit for 2 days in a tournament that had no bearing on their seeding. If you want to lose your shit and have a meltdown over it, again that is your right. Losing sucks in anything, but I and many others on this board that don’t meltdown after ever loss, understand that it is baseball. Whether we won this tournament or did what we just did, was going to have no bearing on our seeding or how we will play next week. If we didn’t have 8 Q4 losses I would agree with you more. All you have to do is go look at past tournaments to see that conference tournaments for the most part don’t matter. 1-16 are based on merit, the rest of the field is a numbers game pieced together by regional proximity If anyone in here is a pussy it’s you, losing your shit over 18-22 year olds losing a game and thinking you demanding excellence from a keyboard has any bearing on the outcome
  18. You are the only one coping, by trying to see into things that aren’t there. I’m just telling you like it is. We are an average baseball team. We showed that over 56 games this regular season. Nobody putting together a 64 team field this year is looking to punish us over a shitty conference tournament. We will likely get punished over the 8 Q4 losses
  19. I didn’t say we were going to get a favorable regional. What I’m telling you which you can’t seem to grasp is the conference tournament has little bearing on where any team gets sent if any. Last year TCU won the conference tournament and had to go take out #3 national seed Arkansas along with Arizona. Why wasn’t that us? Why did we get to go play an overrated Miami team with no pitching and the Rajun Cajuns? Your answer is probably as good as mine
  20. No you just don’t understand how the NCAA selection committee puts together these regionals but that is okay. If you think the committee members are sitting on a couch saying “oh now we are sending them to Fayetteville or College Station” as punishment for going 0-2 in a conference tournament, that is certainly your prerogative. Should have sent us to Fayetteville last year as punishment as well I guess
  21. We did not, and where we get sent is going to have nothing to do with going 2 and Q in Arlington
  22. He had already taken Porter out for Dee. Which didn’t make sense either
  23. That loss is on Pierce
