  1. Jack has to go, You can justify giving Porter through the Texas Tech series just because he has proven it before but if he hasn't turned it around by then you have to try other options.
  2. Damn man, I was really hoping Borba was up there looking to battle and foul off pitches. Got to have a better approach than that.
  3. I don't think anything that we didn't already know was learned tonight. LBJ was off, bullpen was solid given we needed 6 innings out of them, really only made one mistake. Jack and Porter looked like they have all year, had nothing to do with LSU. Gasparino, Belyeu, Borba looked like I would expect them to look facing a future 1st round collegiate arm. Just move on to the next one
  4. I'll never understand the game by game meltdown lol
  5. Have to get Porter and Jack out of the lineup
  6. Not a fan of the way Pierce has managed and called this game
  7. Was just trying to knock Porter down as far as possible until he figures it out. I’d like to see Pierce give Casey a full game either Saturday or Sunday. If Porter figures it out at the plate again I’d slot him at 5 regardless of matchup but right now we are getting the guy TCU was comfortable letting transfer.
  8. These games are often meaningless in terms of the outcome because baseball is so fluid. Like to see Pierce try this at the top. 1. Thomas 2. Kennedy 3. Powell 4. Flores 5. Schuessler/Galvan Slot Porter Brown at 6, Belyeu at 7, Gasparino at 9 and 8 is just dependent on who DHs that day. Would be a really nice development if Borba could capably play 1B. I know the outfield is crowded but Casey Cummings is someone I was hoping would see more opportunities by this point.
  9. He was someone I was excited to see get an opportunity this year.
  10. Jack is suited to be a platoon bench bat at best. I’d take Jake McKenzie over him at 1B right now. If those were my options
  11. I said last year he needed to be coming out of the bullpen. I know last year he was just an opener knowing he was probably only going to pitch 1 or 2 innings but it’s just a different mindset, especially for a guy you know wants to start again and who has at a high level. Short quick outings out of the pen where he can give max effort for those 3 outs is where he needs to be. Then go from there
  12. He desperately needed a little confidence
  13. We went into the lab and made a more disciplined Trey Faltine
  14. We get 3 years of Will Gasparino… Just puts a smile on your face
  15. Kameron Fields all over again
  16. He looks lanky but man does Flores have a lot of power in that swing
  17. O’Dowd is probably trembling right now. Righty making his collegiate debut
  18. Harrison has everything except velocity on his fastball, much closer to being an asset to this team than Witt is
  19. Thankfully though we have a nice crop of Freshman, and Gasparino bails out O’Dowd
  20. He is just lost up there mechanically, not even getting his foot down in time to hit the ball
  21. Personally I’d like to see Kennedy bat 2nd to get more speed at the top and break up the lefties.
