  1. Good play by the second baseman. See guys lose their composure in that situation all the time
  2. Wow. Wonder what happened there
  3. One of the more impressive coaching jobs in college baseball having to build that program from the ground up in the ACC which can be a meat grinder. Miami would be smart to give Pollard a look as well.
  4. Historical ranking based on past success and where a job ranks on how attractive it would be to a coach now are two different things. Miami dwarfs Tennessee in terms of historical success as a baseball program but you could make the very real argument that Tennessee is currently a more attractive job than Miami. Using this example because I’ve seen Miami fans floating Vitello’s name around. Arizona State is another program that historically is really good but most coaches right now would put 20-25 programs ahead of Arizona State on the pecking order
  5. When you go 6-8 in those 4 appearances the heat is going to get turned up
  6. Oral Roberts has two great arms that are both draft eligible, Cade Denton and Jacob Widener, will be interesting to see what they do.
  7. He has a lot to like about him. Has the potential to be a Pete Hansen type arm, similar delivery, similar frame. Not worried about how he fared against Texas because if we get him he won’t be playing Texas. Hurley wasn’t some polished elite arm from USC, he still isn’t, but he has a lot of things you like, I’m sure they saw a little Lebarron in him.
  8. Usually don’t like changes to the lineup, especially when things overall are going well, but Kennedy needs to be dropped to the 8 or 9 spot. Him and Daly are pretty much interchangeable. Prefer him in the 9 spot because you can use him somewhat as a 2nd lead off hitter and for whatever reason it seems like every time he gets dropped to 7-9 because he has slumped, he starts to rake. Not to mention he will see a lot more fastballs hitting 9th which would help him tremendously.
  9. Daly is a good teammate and kid, fortunately for him there are enough bats on this team you can eat his. He was such a good gap to gap hitter as a freshman and I feel like he quit using the other side of the field in an attempt to hit more HRs with all his power being to the pull side.
  10. They may hold him until Sunday he threw 180 pitches between Friday and Monday.
  11. Just hope we get Fri-Sun instead of Sat-Mon
  12. Quinn Matthews after throwing his 300th pitch in 7 days next Friday
  13. Jace LaViolette in the aggy dugout tonight
  14. Austin Wood must have been a part of his advising team
  15. Couldn’t make it up if you tried
  16. Ben Hampton, LHP from West Virginia is in the transfer portal. Was good for them until he got hurt down the stretch
  17. Paul Skenes has 179 strikeouts and 17 walks in 99.1 innings with a .79 WHIP… L.O.L Kentucky should just throw their worst arm game 1, might as well
  18. With all due respect to this Kentucky team this party will end when they step off the bus in Baton Rouge.
  19. SEC has to do something about that dog pile, bad for the brand
  20. I think he sticks for several years, I would put the max at 5 though before he returns out west. One of UC Irvine, Cal State Fullerton, Long Beach St. would be stupid not to give him an opportunity. And in the off chance USC decides to give a shit about baseball again I think Rodriguez could do big things with a brand like that.
  21. Didn’t have TCU outscoring Arkansas 32-9 in Fayetteville on the bingo card. Going back to Globe Life TCU has outscored Arkansas 50-15…
  22. Nothing beats post season college baseball
  23. They think Florida’s program has been impressive in Super Regionals, wait until they find out Texas is 11-1
  24. 2nd game scheduled for 8 PM if TCU can’t close the deal. That place will be packed which does not bode well for them
  25. I think they will be fine as long as they pick up a baseball only school. With Iowa State not playing adding DBU as a baseball only member would strengthen the conference. The funny thing to watch would be if TCU and Baylor do the same thing they bemoaned Texas for doing which is keep somebody they view as inferior from getting a piece of the pie and elevated status. Adding ECU as a baseball member probably makes more sense than DBU. Gives Cincinnati, WVU, and UCF another team out East to play and ECU has a rabid baseball following Going to take more than regional exits for Tadlock to have to start worrying.
