  1. Giving this a second thought and it seems the fishing is a big component to your wants. A bowrider is not a serious fishing boat. You can certainly post up somewhere and drop a line or bobber fish with the kiddos, but trolling and casting to fish are kinda not what it does. Just fyi
  2. Personally, I don’t care for the aesthetics of a bowrider with an outboard. Also, one of the main hangout areas is the swim platform and the outboard kinda fucks that up. I’m certainly not dogging on outboards, they are marvels of engineering and I’ve owned several on fishing boats. The I/o will also give you a bit more maintenance hassle at end of year having to drain engine block of water. But there is nothing quite like the rumble of a v8 motor under the cowl. I wouldnt sweat the livewell on a non fishing boat. If you want it just for bait on the few times you need minnows, just use a bait bucket and toss it over the side every so often.
  3. One of those things is not like the other.
  4. But honestly, based on your experience level and wants. Boat club membership first before you buy.
  5. If that’s the budget, I say two boats. 30k on gently used 21’ I/o bowrider (chaparral or cobalt if you find a good deal). 20k on used 18’ center console for fishing.
  6. My wife takes shower every time I sex her....When I’m being a bad ass with rv shit that is actually happening with frequency, so grey tank is gonna get filled up and fuck the dishes. I have been known to piece together a couple poop hoses and stretch them out to woods and let some grey water out at 3am. Don’t judge me, gonna get laid
  7. Absolutely have done this. With showers and family of four(what I was dealing with) those grey tanks fill up fast. Another tip: do not dump black tank unless you have a full, or mostly full, grey tank to get a proper flushing. After dumping black, I would close black valve and open grey valve. After about 30 seconds I would open black valve again and let some of the grey back pressure back flush, then close black valve and let grey finish draining. Once done I would disconnect hose from camper and hold it high and wash with water hose while other end still connected to sewer for a couple minutes. Edit: When weather permits and filling grey tank is concern, make use of outdoor shower. Shower is by far the biggest culprit
  8. The short answer is they are all equally shitty! I think the same corporate conglomerate that owns airstream also owns Jayco and many others. They all have different levels of trim and finish out. I’ve owned two Jayco eagles and have been relatively happy with how they held up.
  9. Same boat. Not exactly needed, but fearful of the future. I took 24900 and will hold it. 25000 and above has collateral/insurance requirements. if needs dictate i can increase amount and get more at later date. Did not want to refuse loan with looming uncertainty. Interest is sunk cost and treating it like insurance for the time being.
  10. i don’t think a worker can choose to remain on unemployment in this scenario. As an employer, if I was faced with a worker trying to continue to remain on unemployment and I’d offered their old job back, I would let twc know about it.
  11. Precisely. Real bed, air conditioning, own facilities. It’s camping, without the poors.
  12. Another bit of advice...explain to all the proper use of an rv toilet. Do not drop a deuce in a dry bowl, it must first be filled with water.
  13. Bear mace instead of a bear knife. I’d add latex gloves. I use them for lots of different purposes, but must have when dealing with the poop line.
  14. And I see you got they lynx levelers... they make a cap for them when used as a jack stand support.
  15. I like the puma art! I kinda have a puma shoe fetish though. Get you some puma suedes to go with the rv
  16. What am I missing? Is it wrong to anchor up and let the womenfolk and kids pump up paddle boards and get the fuck off the boat and give me some peace?
  17. I just got off water too. Took the inflatable sups out. Gonna go tomorrow too. Weather turns to shit for awhile.
  18. One other rv add that was so nice...propane hookup on outside patio area. Carried a griddle and weberq that just plug right in to that
  19. I know! This thread is making me want to rv shop. Dammit
  20. Business for sale with contracted buyer and business takes on loan seems unwise. They gonna have to pay that shit or ride it out and find another buyer later.
  21. Only went once, but the matagorda bay nature park was also cool. Kids can do crabbing and shell hunt on beach. The rv spots were literally on the Colorado river delta with gulf. Very cool location
  22. My all time favorite park was a place in Kerrville. It’s been many years and can’t remember the name of the place. It was on the river, so days were lounging down in river. Had a bar and locals would come and do karaoke and shit at night, lots of fun. Had like three swimming pools, one of them adult only. Palmetto state park is also nice rv spot for a nice easy weekend getaway.
