  1. In a year where 8 teams have a legit argument to be in the top 4, the driving factor for the committee will be c.y.a. pure and simple. In other words, they will go with the only defensible rankings: a) undefeated P5 teams are in b) 1-loss conference champions are in over any other 1-loss teams The committee will catch so much heat if they put in a non conference champion over a conference champion. This means that with an Iowa or Louisville win, TX is in. (And TX should be in with an Oregon win but I don't think we will jump Oregon). I think the only fuckery that could occur is with a Bama win -- in that case I think Bama jumps us because they are not leaving out the SEC champ. Any other scenarios aren't worth the mental energy
  2. WTH was the target? An outhouse? Maybe there was a Russian Colonel in there poo-tin? ETA: the missile missed some valuable Russian Air Defense hardware
  3. Honestly this is probably the simplest, quickest, and cheapest way to banish him forever. All the lawsuits, investigations, and impeachments are nice, but if Soros were to covertly buy all the tickets to trump rallies and stack them with hecklers . . . hoo boy. The negative press fallout would start the snowball and then its blood in the water
  4. +2 for the body count
  5. Typically the lowest flows on the Dnipro are in the winter
  6. Thats a solid schedule. Couple of warmup series but then it gets real and doesn't let up all season. Are we gonna be good?
  7. I hope that, as a program, a "top 25 transfer" isn't our automatic closer with no competition. But I don't know shit
  8. As a recovering lawyer who doesn't know anything about CIPA, let me offer something. I don't think we are talking about just giving copies of top secret documents to the defense. Probably they can satisfy CIPA with a combination of the titles/description of some docs, redactions, review by trump attorneys supervised in a scif of documents they have obtained clearance for, etc. Enough info to answer whether the doc was for national defense, but not the super secret stuff Not just giving them back all the complete docs
  9. At this point I assume that there is some novel tech in ATACMS that we don't want Russia to get its hands on. I know ATACMS are being discontinued, but maybe the tech is being used in the replacement. Given that there aren't all that many ATACMS and no capacity to make more, and that other missiles can do the same jobs, my guess is US officials are weighing those things and saying its not worth it. If the tech is sensitive enough I would be OK with that, as long as we give Ukraine other toys in quantity and quality that will be decisive as soon as possible.
  10. It was a Texas Rat Snake
  11. Shot em, now I'm gonna hang em, then I'm gonna burn em! Dan's feelin bloody today ain't he Ain't he
  12. It is a blessing where this one hit. Almost no coastal development on FL's taint
  13. Active 294 hours from now? Thats next year right?
  14. Not a direct answer to your question, but the tweet that lead to the sniper rifle fundraiser said that something like 82% of casualties are from artillery, 15% from snipers, and 3% from small arms/infantry battles. This has been an artillery war, period.
  15. 230 rounds a day with 18 guns = 13 shots per gun per day. They have a network of drones and other recon that call out targets w coordinates, and the closest artillery then fires. Precision shit.
  16. I much prefer SA textured over smooth. Zips through the guides, less friction. Rio makes some decent trout lines but their saltwater lines are ass.
  17. University of FL is doing a python removal project where they tag males, which then lead them to females during mating season. https://www.wpbf.com/article/florida-invasive-species-snake-python-method/43011929# And, this is going mega-scale since last fall it was discovered that they just needed to tag possums, coons, etc and then track the pythons that eat them https://www.livescience.com/gps-tagged-mammals-used-to-catch-pythons
  18. PSA to all rod shoppers -- the fly line pairing with your rod can make a huge difference to how the rod feels and performs. A lot of fly lines now are made 1/2 size or a full size heavy, to help load all the modern rods that have skewed toward fast action. Because a lot of rods and lines have together crept upward toward the next line weight, a lot of times when someone chooses a rod and randomly puts a line on it, the pairing will work. But, some rods are still built specifically for an AFTMA standard weight line, and they hate the newer heavy lines. Works the other way too (fast/stiffer rods not working well with AFTMA standard weight lines. For faster action saltwater, I love the Scientific Anglers "Infinity" line. For my saltwater rods built to AFTMA standard (e.g. Scott rods and a lot of Winston) I go with the Sci Anglers "Bonefish" which is AFTMA standard.
  19. I'm not just talking about art, its the m.o. of the whole place and there's no way you'll be able to escape it. I love Santa Fe and its got a ton of history, but if you are really thinking about moving, I would do an airbnb for a month or something, and then go back during the shoulder seasons to see what you think.
  20. If you don't like cowboy and southwestern shit you are thinking of the wrong place. Go to Mendocino or somewhere like that
