  1. "I didn't go pro in baseball, but that doesn't mean my kids won't" is one of the greatest lines ever. Props to Mayhem and Allstate.
  2. I have an unnatural dislike for John Calipari. Fuck Arkansas also. Tech 49-43 at the half in Dallas.
  3. In case anyone wanted to see what non-wavy ranks look like:
  4. I say it every year, so here goes- If you ever have a chance to attend this game, DO IT!!! It's unlike any other sporting event and seeing it live is spectacular. Fudge Nuggets is gonna be so damned mesmerized today with the goosebumps, electric moments, and maybe even a tear of pride or 2. If the opportunity ever presents itself, you won't regret taking it all in. 2026 game will be at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ for the 6th time, 2nd at MetLife. 2027 has America's Game returning to Philadelphia, for the 91st time and 15th at Lincoln Financial Field.
  5. Glad Wall won. Someone finally had to beat dem Tigers. Flipside of this was thinking 2A Mount Enterprise might have it in the tank to beat those Shiner Comanche, who are also always in the hunt. No dice. Shiner prevails 28-8 and returns to their home away from home, the Texas State Championship Game.
  6. Enlisted Navy son's boat, the USS Carl Vinson...and I love the cargo ship in the background for context of the enormity of the modern day carriers. Army officer and West Point grad son's equipment in route clearance( IED removal) which is not all that impressive compared to a floating city on the sea; but they save the hell outta lives. He doesn't talk about it much, but one of the coolest things he did, IMHO, was debrief a conference of NATO dignitaries and brass as about a 23 year old Soldier. Then their team trained those allies on the equipment for the next 6 months. The robot shit was badass.
  7. One guy for all of these? I mean, I love it for Jacob Rodriguez, but damn, other dudes played too.
  8. Agree with Nate. Feels weird and unnecessary.
  9. I was just in Chicago for 2 weeks... could be some of both. Just get a kick out of "Hey those high school games that are among the very best entertainment values in existence for your dollar need to be on TV more like the college shit that we can't afford any more." I prefer to go to the games, but admittedly, Stephenville being the closest host location ain't worth that fucking drive tonight.
  10. Yeah i made it 1:28 into that 10 minute video. That's more than she deserved...and yeah, Cuckoo for CocoaPuffs absolutely screams from anything she says or does.
  11. The fan who hasn't attended a game all year bitching about high school games not being on TV or being charged extra... is pretty fucking satisfying. That shit ain't meant to be on TV, yo. Yeah, fuck that shit next week too.
  12. and they have a chimney for ants.
  13. How are we gonna pull outta this shit if you don't act worried? It's about as effective as " You need to show more energy when things are going well" Yeah motherfucker? I don't see any pom-poms.
  14. Win or lose, we booze!!!
  15. One of the things my employer does is match charitable donations dollar for dollar. They have to be legit entities, like not your kid's baseball team; but rather YMCA or Big Brothers-Big Sisters Through the years we have gotten them to match when we hit a team goal for giving to local food bank or women's shelter, for example. That's a good way to drive dollars, which matter dearly; but volunteering time is also a tremendous way to give back.
