  1. "Grayson Rigdon won't be making plays like that in 11-man football." Columbus vs Bellville
  2. A legit sanctioned, regulated sportsbook like Circa doesn’t need to influence outcomes of games, and they’d be ultimate morons to risk their gaming license over that behavior. I took it at face value of a Vegas business entity investing in its local image. Maybe I’m naive as hell, too.
  3. We’ll see. Personally, I think it would be a disaster. They will out execute/ out discipline/ and out-grit anyone; but they don’t have the trench monsters to hang with the big boys in any playoff game. They damned sure don’t have elite speed at the skill positions on either side of the ball. Notre Dame @ Yankee Stadium looms in November. That’ll tell a lot, and ND isn’t elite either.
  4. Their schedule has been shit. a slate of nobodies, whom they have beaten, but shit teams all of em. They might be in the conversation at the end, but they are much more likely to be about 9-3.
  5. Broke the streak, and it's still my favorite tribute jersey. 'twas my son's Firsty( Senior) year and they partied that night like no evening ever in their 4 years on the Hudson. We were just visiting about it this past week and he told me, "Dad, me and my buddies( all of whom I have met) almost got our Roy Orbison tattoos* that night! but some squid kept fucking with( one of the guys) and instead we almost had a rumble in the bar." Just one more layer of the pageantry that is Army-Navy. *think Waterboy, but the Army kicking mule.
  6. Had no idea you were friends with Joe Pesci, the narrator.
  7. How many non athletes have you entered official NIL agreements with? why?
  8. I said nothing about the merit of NIL. You inferred whatever you personally inferred for reasons unknown relevant, for that matter. Pay for play is not nefarious at all. It simply describes the situation for what it is. Again, it is ludicrous for you to insist these exchanges, or contracts, are driven by anything other that a person’s attachment to the Athletic department of a respective school’s boosters. It is not some random act of a business agreement, so just fucking stop. It doesn’t mean NIL is good or bad, nor does it place any moral value on what people offering/ accepting NIL agreements do. They are legal agreements, to your point. They are still a construct to avoid legal/ labor regulation and provide a more regulated( lol) medium for paying participants of college sports.
  9. NIL is just so nuanced that the common man cannot understand it.
  10. a legal agreement with a construct to protect the school from labor issues, in which money is exchanged for being a part of the football program. You aren't explaining anything that people on here do not understand. It's the operating under the guise of sanctity and just completely random good will that always benefits a football/ basketball program that is absolutely ludicrous. It doesn't require your admission either. It's not even that the work is good or bad; but it's absolutely pay for play.
  11. "we disagree: you are an idiot." Think we are done here sir. Thank you for the demonstration of discussions in today's society. Everyone knows it's pay for play. Just keep wrangling with that sanctimonious bullshit in your head.
  12. You are (willfully)confusing legalese with application/ reality. it doesn’t tarnish what you are doing, or any school for that matter. Just ask yourself why your efforts don’t benefit the Mass Comm College or Department of Music. It’s not personal. It’s just business.
  13. Now take it to the Gundy approach, with which I agree, in that: Once the season starts, I don't want to hear shit about your money.
  14. The devices we developed to say it's not pay for play are outright lies. LMAO. When every student on campus receives the same stipend like the service academies do; get back with me.
  15. You believe that? Then why aren't students in other programs on campus at UT drawing NIL money like the footbal and basketball teams? It's fundamentally and absolutely about playing for pay. Suggesting anything else is just mental gymnastics.
  16. Now consider the NO defense dngaf with that lead and this week Dak didn’t do jack shit until the Ravens said he could…of course with a price. Tick, tick, tick… Who does he make better? Who does he throw open? What’s his signature quality? Shitting the fucking bed when it counts.
  17. That's NINE scoring drives in 2 weeks, you ungrateful bitches! The more peculiar thing with regard to scoring is that the Steelers have more points in 2 games than the LARams. Aaron Donald was influential, but geeze...
  18. Which party? LOLz Not a Trump Voter. Now exit the easy answer/ binary bullshitphase...
  19. "we can't all suck that badly." We have the high ground. We insist. well, yes, you can.
  20. You're gonna have to get more definitive than that. But you knew that already.
  21. I support background checks and making legal gun ownership...well...um...legal. Not really. they are all shit. The honest folks avoid politics.
  22. LOL, and I sincerely mean the LOL. Yes i am am full public school proponent and am in opposition of the voucher bullshit.
  23. I haven't voted for Trump since 2016, nor do I plan to going forward.
  24. I'm not a dotard believer. In that, you are correct sir. Doesn't mean everything else is hook, line, and sinker. i actually don't like the guy and haven't ever. The fact that there is not a more heartfelt alternative is a problem, wouldn't you agree?
