  1. just a speed guy... Not.
  2. Perine makes a shit-ton of clutch plays/ third down conversions. He's gotta be one of the older players on the team and he recovers that fumble for KC.
  3. I think dipshit Fiers is one of the few former Astros I didn’t like, after his glorious revelation of his bullshit character. All the dudes who went and got paid, it’s just the business of baseball. Pretty sure I will still want Ted to do well. Playing in the NL makes that slightly easier. Seeing Altuve in another uni would just suck.
  4. Friday afternoon meetings after 2-3pm are just control mechanisms by weak leaders. I have a 2 hour ‘planning session’ permanently on my calendar. Haven’t had that shit in current team, but previous boss loved throwing that shit on the calendar. I missed that session quite often. I’d be like, ‘ Your college punks and ither stealers are your problem, not mine.’
  5. In a public place, people who walk( half speed or less) while reading their phone. Have some gotdam awareness/ decency and step to the side. GET THE FUCK OUT OF THE WAY!!!!
  6. What are the two nozzles that are spraying above the water temp and flow handle? Bidet for Shaq? Head scrubber for Peter Dinklage? It hit me just above the belly button. If it came out with more pressure, it might feel good on an achy back. I give up and am desperate enough to ask Surly...
  7. My son did it the hard way and did not play a varsity sport in HS. His academics, leadership, community service, et al were stellar. He still had to go the prep school route, basically to prove he could handle the physical training component of the academies. He was 6'4 and about 160 his Senior year. High school athletics isn't mandatory for consideration, but if it is absent, you gotta freaking crush the other stuff. As an aside, I felt like military drill team with rifles was every bit as demanding as some of the other country club sports, if not more so, and he was commander his Junior year( very rare.) The admission folks could not have cared less. No fucking athletics. It made a huge difference.
  8. Deion gives me hope...for calamity. Jerry guarantees it.
  9. Jerry isn’t a heel though. He’s just a dumbass when it comes to football.
  10. He can WANT whatever he says; but until he finds a suitor, reality is kicking that notion in the nuts.
  11. Not MHB material...( he's from Lake Belton.)
  12. Edmonton and Avs tied at 3 with 5min left in the 2nd. COL was up 3-0 early.
  13. It was the only thing I ate that day, which probably wasn't healthy either. I was up at 4:30 AM and when I got my 'Cue, it was about 12:30. I didn't have any breakfast or dinner. Had a couple of beers back at the hotel, which according to the other thread, is giving me cancer. Oh well, had a terrific lunch. They delivered, for sure.
  14. 16MM for Tucker seems good...for the Cubbies.
  15. so they are waiting on final analysis( contributions from the respective lobbies) to find their studies conclusive.
  16. I don’t drink the hoppy stuff, but appreciate the cash flow they provide for stuff I do like. Sometimes I do get frustrated on the road and joint has 4 big brand lagers, ultra, 2-3 Mexican lagers and 2 IPAs. You’re telling me there are no customers who would drink a bock or hell, even a dos amber or Negra Modelo? The tap selections are goofy, and then they get a slow mover on there so it doesn’t change out.
  17. Ambassador of baseball. He made a game that I love even better. RIP. You won't be a visitor in the clubhouse where you're headed.
  18. Haven't been to H-town in over a year, have a minute and pop into Corkscrew. Line was from the counter to the door at noon. Not bad at all. Ordered a rib plate with mac & cheese with 1/2 pound of moist brisket. The ribs were great. I ate everything on the plate except the biggest rib. I was solo and just didn't want to feel bad all afternoon, LOL. The mac & cheese was better than most in that was creamy and cheesy, not that goopy shit that is just stuck together like noodles and paste. I dipped the bread in the sauce. It was fine. I'm not picky there. I view sauce basically as a parachute for bad meat. That was not needed today. The brisket was the best I can remember having. I know sometimes you just luck out on the cut, but it was a tender chew, with the fat rendered perfectly. I was eating alone and took my time and was soooo grateful not to have to rush. Cutter threw in a burnt end at my request. Plate was $48 with a 15% gratuity- fuck it, they are a mom and pop, so let's go. My meal was a 10 out of 10 and I'm a grumpy sumbeech. That's indeed pricy, but if I had had a buddy with me we probably would have only added some sausage and another side. 2 things that were interesting/ funny to me: 1) no knives available. That's putting your money where your meat is. I didn't need one, once I got going. 2) those sliced jalapenoes were like playing Russian roulette. First one was damned near bell pepper. 2nd slice was about a 6 out of 10. they kept going like that.
  19. Flipside to that discussion is that Texas absolutely gets credit for handling it the right way. It was not an easy decision( maybe it was, but the program cost was great.) I was disputing how much impact the local PD had.
  20. The point is there is no higher degree of accountability in Austin PD. High horse trip is trippy. ‘pure as the wind-driven snow’ is just funny.
  21. I was hoping it was a typo and it was...Robin Williams. I was casually interested.
  22. LOLz. Sergio Kindle would like a word. Maybe call Art Acevedo and discuss accountability. and no, I'm not gonna remotely defend LBK police, but come the fuck on.
