  1. I will also posit that I still stand for the other team's school song at high school games too. Not everyone does. I don't sit there and pray for lightning bolts to hit them. It's a choice. It's part of attending a game, IMHO.
  2. I don't watch golf, so I don't know what happened there. I watch about 110-120 MLB games per year, as much college football that is realistically possible and same with NFL. I also watch college basketball. My rules for watching, regardless of team, even if it is my favorite: 1. no pregame. No fucks given. 2. no postgame. Upon the final whistle, channel is changed or TV is turned off. I don't want to hear what anyone has to say. 3. Halftime- muted or change to another game. Time to grab a sammich or beer or fold clothes. Anything besides listen to the talking heads. 4. Very little sports talk during the week. I have listened to about an hour total of Colin Cowherd on the season, and he generally avoids the bullshit. I couldn't tell you which games the alleged dignitaries have attended or refused. I hope they stay away because it further disrupts things for the real fans. Attending a game in person, I will always stand for the SSB and any prayer or moment of silence. It's just how I'm wired. I don't expect that from anyone else, and I respect that it's their deal too. I will agree that at a certain point things feel much more "forced" than they used to. I'm not sure what the answer is, but I definitely feel the vibe being discussed in the thread at live events.

  5. People who exit a business straddling that middle line/ or anywhere EXCEPT the actual exit lane. See also: people who don't stay on the right side of the lane going down parking lot rows. Wake the fuck up and drive your vehicle.
  6. People in left-center are gonna get cooked.

  9. Yeah, well, we're all a bit uncomfortable, ain't we, Sweetheart?
  10. Edelman was the only "next Welker." Danny Amendola was still "Welker Lite"
  11. You don't want to necessarily own the farm... but there are most definitely negotiated contracts, often with same growers year after year. It's similar to the airlines working jet fuel futures, etc, etc.
  12. 52 degrees on the Golden Spread this morning. LOVE these days!!! It ain't the " The Frost...sometimes it makes the blade stick" kind of morning we get in November/ December, but we'll take it!

  15. still trying to reconcile $300k in a checking account, even if it IS small business.
  16. I'm not a Cowboy fan. I was from 1977 to January of 24. Romo was magnitudes better than Dak. Dallas massively overpaid for the player Dak is. Texas High School football is better than any of that!
  17. So Dak has a kid playing in the Valley? 8 for a season is a great year. in 4 games, it's insane.

  19. Perfect avatar.
  20. I disagree with the limitations. Just call it down from the booth. Joking but only halfway: If the ump is wrong, give the team it hurt another challenge.
