  1. Wordle 1,260 4/6 🟨⬜⬜⬜⬜ ⬜🟨⬜⬜⬜ ⬜⬜🟨⬜🟨 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩
  2. This year or just in general? Cuz I got a free one last year that's been in my deep freeze I'm thinking about smoking.
  3. Fuck you. No one has time for these fucking arguments. People are dying. There's no rational reason for this shitshow. That said, I don't want your life to hang in the balance while some lawyers figure out how the hospital won't get into legal trouble for helping you survive. I don't want that for anyone, but that's not something you have to consider. But, I'm sure the ledge will clarify in time for you to stop bleeding out you obtuse asshole.
  4. It was an interface that the insurance allowed. I think better help was one, but I found my therapist through Psychology Today and just followed the link.
  5. I just noticed that I didn't address security. I had the same initial misgivings, but the sessions are not recorded and the security steps put me at ease. After the first couple sessions it didn't cross my mind. I did use a VPN.
  6. I did it. It works. There are the usual connectivity issue at times and there was a bit of initial awkwardness, but it fades. You can get what you need out of it if you click with the provider.
  7. This is tempting. I have lingering depression and anxiety issues that I have trouble pushing past at times. I don't fear going back down into that "pit" at this time, but it would be nice to have more power on my side to understand and push through.
  8. For me, DHEA eased my symptoms while I was moving off of hormonal birth control and on to HRT for perimenopause. That took about three months. It may take about that long for her to see any physical benefits. My mood lifted within the first month. The weight loss was slower, but my workouts were more productive due to the energy boost. HRT is similar in that it takes about a month to see how it's going and make adjustments. I've had to adjust things a few times due to the return of symptoms, but I recognized them quickly and contacted the Dr. via chat. Winona shipped an updated formula the next day.
  9. DHEA is her friend. It's also yours. She'll be all over you and losing belly fat in the process. https://bywinona.com/product/dhea It's in LUTZ because there's more traffic and I think OP wanted to inject some humor. Edit: Since you are in Austin, check out People's Pharmacy as a local resource if that's preferable.
  10. Regarding caffeine, I understand. I started mixing in some decaf beans with regular during the week to see if I could handle it. I did. Decaf espresso is also a thing. I regularly order one and find them satisfying. I mix it up with reduction in mind and it's working for me. Have your wife reach out to one of the docs using chat on bywinona for individual concerns. Here's their video regarding cancer risk: https://help.bywinona.com/en/articles/5361244-hrt-and-cancer-risk
  11. Here is a more scientific article with case studies, although a bit disorganized, with figures that I found helpful regarding HRT: https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC6082400/ Here's a decent guide that is more straight forward. https://online.nursing.georgetown.edu/blog/a-guide-to-perimenopause-menopause-and-postmenopause/ Here's a good start on diet and exercise tips. I started here and had to ramp up the exercise, quit drinking, and really hone my diet and supplement routine due to anxiety and depression: https://www.healthline.com/health/perimenopause-diet I was a very heavy drinker and had underlying mental health issues that were amplified by this transition. This book helped me quit drinking 2 years ago: https://a.co/d/hiI81IF Perimenopause has made me more confident and physically and mentally healthier. It fucking sucked for everyone at first, but my marriage is actually stronger and happier. YMMV, but I KNEW I was being jerked around by bullshit. Always get a second or third opinion if something doesn't sound right. If that's too much, just start at https://bywinona.com/. Their HRT service and medical care has been excellent. The articles on the site are legit.
  12. Bump. Here is a one sheet with a timeline that I thought was helpful: https://www.menopause.org.au/hp/information-sheets/perimenopause I'm hunting down a perimeno guide but I'm going to miss my edit window.
  13. Have you checked out the menopause thread? Has your wife checked out https://bywinona.com/? I HIGHLY recommend that service. Perimeno fucked me up mentally, but HRT, therapy, and hard workouts got me back on track. My husband is much happier.
  14. HA! Thanks for that. Bonehead post by me.
  15. I need some advice on pickups/switches. I have a 2012 American Standard Telecaster that is my first guitar and I love it. I wanted to change things up a bit so I'm having Texas Special pickups installed. My question is, should I add a 4-way switch? I've seen it discussed on the boards but I'm too thick to figure out the advantage. I don't want too much "new" shit that I don't understand put on there just because I read it in a review. Feel free to talk me in/out of the Texas Specials as well. It's hard to tell much from youtubes, but I compared them to the Isbell pickups and preferred TS. For context, I mostly fiddle around with 8 bar blues stuff and some rock/rockabilly/country. The next purchase is likely a tweed Blues Jr, but that will have to wait until after Christmas.....unless there are some black Friday shenanigans.
  16. On the beer thing, this may get me in trouble on this site, but there are some outstanding non-alcoholic beers. I find that one with dinner scratches the itch and they are usually well under 100 calories. Karbach, Athletic, and Dechutes are all carried by HEB. This is my favorite: https://deschutesbrewery.com/products/black-butte-non-alcoholic?selling_plan=7851442486
  17. No shit. Try being a woman.
  18. Been there for the first sober holiday last year. It was illuminating. Uncle got so hammered he couldn’t get his ass off of the floor. I didn’t give a shit. You will notice a lot of drunk people. You likely won’t give a shit. They may notice and say something about you not drinking. Don’t give a shit about that shit. Merry Christmas!

    RIP Quincy Jones

    Amazing artist.
  20. Lots of kids there, from what I understand. Lazy river, etc. If you're looking to get away from that, I'd suggest the Fredricksburg thread. Lots of excellent recommendations on romantic cabins with hot tubs. Might be more what you're after for an anniversary trip unless golf is on your list. Even so, the Lady Bird course is nearby and public. We had a great anniversary dinner at Bryan's on 290 in Johnson City. Something to consider....
  21. I want that. I’ve been looking and wanted a Franklin. This looks like a much better deal. I’ve been using a WSM for years and love it, but I have to batch and freeze around the holidays because I cook for office parties and don’t have enough room to knock it out in one session. Did you set it up to work with a fire board or digi q? Probably a stupid question, but fuck it.
  22. Yeah, I didn't notice the 7 string bit. I'm a fan, but I think I'll go for his Jaguar. I think you can find those used under $2k.
