  1. I hear you. My weight can fluctuate in swings of 5-10lbs in either direction depending on hormones, water retention, etc. The overall result is a decline when looking at a 6 month+ period of exercise and eating at a deficit, but if you look week to week it is a frustrating zig-zag. That could just be me. It's probably why weight loss has been such a frustrating and discouraging experience throughout the course of my life. The data from my fitbit has been the one thing that has kept me going without going insane. I also mostly judge success by how I feel rather than numbers on the scale the vast majority of the time this effort, and I think it has made a big difference.
  2. Drunk/high folk being safe. That’s what you are missing.
  3. And because you work out, that one time indulgence won’t even register on the scale.
  4. I gave it up completely due to concerns that I was self medicating. Spoiler alert: I was. I didn’t drop a pound from it until I started working out.
  5. Yes, he uses one of these IIRC. https://www.williams-sonoma.com/products/le-creuset-signature-square-grill-pan/?catalogId=79&sku=7697030&cm_ven=PLA&cm_cat=Google&cm_pla=Cookware > Grill Pans %26 Griddles&cm_ite=7697030_14571727833_pla-829323928313&gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQjwwuG1BhCnARIsAFWBUC0wamAtt5UgjRT_r9nWqIwIEs-49IrCqKBgTmigrT1dkzStdhARL5EaAqAiEALw_wcB
  6. Yes, and I had to drive to San Antonio for the interview because Austin wasn't taking appointments. Got some tacos out of the deal.
  7. Global Entry Application Filed: July 2023 Interview: July 2024 Received known traveller #: August 2024
  8. Thought this was another cool little time capsule.
  9. “Are you waiting to receive my limp penis?” Legend.
  10. I’ve had a KitchenAid range with induction for about 4 years and it’s still going strong. I definitely could not go back to a normal electric range. Gas isn’t an option out here. But with safety in mind induction wins either way.
  11. Kelly’s is the best and it is a trailer in the laundromat parking lot on 12. San Marcos BBQ took over their old restaurant space and it is okay.
  12. God damn......you could fuck up a car accident.
  13. Luckily for my husband, I am enlightened on this matter. We laugh when my Mom pulls that shit. It’s not even worth calling her out on it because she’d be confused, hurt, and think we were making fun of her. No win there.
  14. We are taught this shit by our mothers from birth. It’s generational. Your mother DID mean something else when she asked a direct question. It takes therapy to be untrained. It fucking sucks.
  15. No. It fucking sucks at any age.
  16. There are few meals more satisfying than a DQ finger basket.
  17. Does she do resistance training? A woman over 40 must include weight training as their primary workout routine for the most part. Cardio can actually make cortisol spike for women, which is its own set of issues. It’s worth asking because working out hard with no results sucks ass. I doubt 2 glasses of wine would have a greater impact.
  18. The Ninja Creami is badass. That’s all I’ve got.
  19. Goddamn. I can’t imagine how redneck a wedding will be there. Please post pics.
