  1. Angry. I’d like to go back to not knowing that 40% of the country is stupid as hell, batshit crazy, and unpatriotic selfish bastards.

  3. Do you know if this is available for sale somewhere? I find it hilarious and awesome and would like it framed in my office.
  4. Dude with the Squier and capo is my hero.
  5. They're dipshits and strip drain plugs. Corporate structure rewards bullshit upselling. I use a local shop and they're quick. If you trust that JL shop, good.
  6. Jiffy Lube? Good lord, man. I'm a female and know better.
  7. She mentioned that. Switched to d'addarios for the tele.
  8. On a more positive note, I dropped of my Guild ( https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/GD140AB--guild-d-140-antique-burst) at Strait in January for a set up. I needed the action lowered and I wanted them to service the tuners or replace them. I wasn't in a hurry and knew their reputation for long wait times. After I got the estimate on the tele, I called Strait and they put me on the phone with Jess right away. She explained that my guitar slipped through the cracks and would get that shit done right away with me on the phone. I pick it up tomorrow. ~$100 for a nice set up and Elixir strings. If I can get the tele from the shop tomorrow I'll leave it with Strait when I pick up the Guild.
  9. Thanks guys! I didn't get a negative vibe from him, but I imagine having his name on the setup may play a role.
  10. I need to know if this is dumb. Erlewine is quoting around $500 to fix the nut and set up the tele. New bridge, truss rod, nut, strings, and other adjustments to fix intonation. It's a 2012 and I paid $700 for it used. I'm not a good player, but I do like this guitar. I'm torn between telling him to go ahead or just taking it to Strait and having them replace the nut and re-string it. I don't have complaints about the action and I'm not going on tour, but I like the idea of him fixing it up.
  11. That is beautiful! I bought this one in 2019 for $549 thanks to a post on here. It is fantastic and was such a good deal. Made in best Korea. https://www.adorama.com/gr2509300520.html
  12. Well, so, I guess this should have been common knowledge but I fucked up. The nut on my tele broke at the low E position. I took it in to the shop and they said I did not string it correctly. I wound the strings in the "wrong" direction. I always break out "The Guitar Handbook" when I do change the strings, but I must have missed this extremely important detail. I'm posting this for others that suffer from not reading the footnotes, fine print, or failing to watch the ever important youtube video that covers this.
  13. This. I’d also look at Sea Side, NH on the drive up. Driving in that area is crazy compared to Texas. You blink and you cross a state line.
  14. That Burleson H-E-B is a cluster. So damn crowded.

  16. Well, I was in a meeting the other day and we were going over assignments. On person felt (I assume) singled out and said”So, I’m responsible for…..All the Things.” Cringeworthy at the time.
  17. Thank you. I'm obtuse as hell. Need that shit spelled out. IN CAPPS! ALL OF THEM!
  18. WHAT IN THE ACTUAL FUCK ARE YOU ATTEMPTING TO COMMUNICATE?
  19. The phrase, "All the Things" being used in emails or meetings as a passive-aggressive victim status. Fuck you. Name the things and delegate. This isn't kindergarten. Meetings that do not start on time and do not end on time. Abbreviations that should be obvious but aren't. Fuck you if I have to google your lazy typing. I need to fire some fucksticks.
  20. You won the "not any real response" on the previous page. Don't hide behind your chicken.
  21. That’s a lot of words that don’t say shit.
