  1. New arena opens fall of 22? I thought this fall.
  2. That is the impression I had, that with 2 NBA draft picks on the team, and lots of experience coming back. Looks like we will be 10 and 7 since beginning of calendar year. I guess you chalk up the OU loss to covid. Any others?
  3. Looks like we were 4 of 25 in 2nd half...might have missed one...so one week we set the record, imo, for free throw imbalance in a game between top 20 teams, and now, imo, we set another record, lowest fg percentage made in a half, 16 %, when two top 20 teams play....I believe this proves with objective data that coaching is the problem.
  4. Looks like we are 2 of 15...can it get worse?
  5. Are we losing another game at the free throw line? 4 of 8 compared to 8 of 9. It never improves.
  6. Sit ramey.
  7. We're back !? ...to a projected 5 and 5 last 10 now. win one in conference tourney and that makes us 5 and 5 last 10. We're not losing out. At 5 and 5, I give us a #5 seed. Can we beat a #12? That seems to be one of the matchups people watch the most for an upset.
  8. lose last two in a row, and then lose by double digits to a TCU quality team in conference tourney and we may find out.
  9. Why not Travis Mays at SMU?
  10. Just found his name. But he’s not young, but I nailed it, in terms of being a great coach. Tommy Amaker has coached at Harvard for 15 years.
  11. Throwing out a name. How about that young former Duke player who’s earning his wings at an eastern school? I want young, can coach an offense to drive to the hoop, and coach solid d.
  12. Except that the newness of the arena will trump the bad coach factor. Everybody in Austin will want to see the new joint. You could put a cardboard rendition of Abe Lemons and the arena will be full every time.
  13. 😎 no thanks, but look at the above, bubble watch? Is he serious, if we lose the final two games, could we really be on the bubble? Then we would have to get lucky and draw TCU to have a victory in the conf. tourny.
  14. This is holding up quite well, imo. 8 seed or 9 doesn't matter because that is a pick 'em game. We will most likely lose the last two; puts us at 3-7 for the last 10 games before conf. tourney. If we get to play TCU we win the first game in conf. tourney. Otherwise, 13-9. Lose first round NCAA game and 13-10. Yuck!
  15. no argument from me on this. I just want to point out that no matter who the coach is, this has to be a record. Is part of the coaches' job to get his team to the free throw line or not? I would think so, because stupid losses happen, to this stupid team more often than others, it seems.
  16. yeah, but 37 to 11? at home? I think this is a record.
  17. 37 to 11. Going out on a limb to say I think this is a record difference when two top 20 teams play. Don't care who the coach is, or why, free throw opportunities has to be part of the job of a coach. I still think it is possible we fall to a 9 seed.
  18. So, I am pretty sure I had this as a loss. My prediction of 3-7 for the last ten is looking pretty good, I believe. We evidently wasted the 2nd best half of the year(1st would be against KU?). 37-11 final tally for free throws attempted? Has got to be a record difference for a game with 2 teams that are both rated in the top 20.
  19. I wonder if Brown works himself out of the first round if he continues this type of play.
  20. 20 to 9! Unbelievable!
  21. at this pace, we're definitely losing an OT game, if that happens. There won't be enough horns left.
  22. 17 to 9 fouls? Are you serious? Seriously, who is this on? Of course I want to blame Shaka, but what do I know. Experts?
  23. fouls, 15 to 9. Can you imagine if we ever won the foul situation?
  24. winning the 2nd half..that is all I ask.
  25. is this real? Can't believe this lead.
