  1. Add fouls plus Turnovers.....more than points....keeping track
  2. I think we have as many TOs as points.
  3. Give me tcu + 11.5. Game will be big horns lead in first half and shrink in 2nd half.
  4. so, we have 16 conference games and we are headed for about 8-8 in conference? Is that good enough for the tourney? Pile on one win and then a loss in the conference tournament. I don't see higher than a 9 seed.
  5. that basketball number is wildly inflated. We are about to be ranked about number 20+ any day now. Which brings up the question. Does CDC have the stomach to handle the basketball situation if we lose a first round NCAA game? I don't think so.
  6. If we are serious about forecasting, this is an 8-4 schedule. Injuries will be huge, especially the first part of the season when there is no week off. Get lucky with injuries and 9-3 is possible, with a late-season surge. After a bowl win we will be ranked top 15. Next year is the big year, 10-2 or better.
  7. So I couldn’t resist looking it up, and in 1982 it appears we went 2 and 11 after the 14-0 start. Right now we are 2 and 4 in our last 6, correct..not too far off percentage wise. Should we end up 1. and 9 in last 10, is it possible we could miss the tourney... We are finishing 3 and 7 for last 10 before conference tourney. Don’t ask where victory 3 happens. We finish ranked 25, get a 9 seed, lose by 10 in first game. Cdc, ball is in your court..what say u?
  8. yeah, I remember it was definitely 81-82, and yesterday I looked it up and we did win 2 games and lost 11 after that. I didn't notice if we made the tourney or not. Don't think so. The cheerleader business was during the Weltlich years, 6-22, 7-23 etc. one of those.
  9. Now this is the kind of analysis I can appreciate. If browm had gone 7 and 5 in 2001 I would especially a firing.
  10. To me, it feels like we're finishing either 6th, 7th, or 8th in the conference. We're safely above the two bottom feeders. I would imagine that gets us a 9 seed in the tourney. Experts, is this close? Say we finish a 9 seed, and lose the opener to the 8 seed. How much of an underperformance would that rate? Iow, is this current roster strong enough that an unbiased person should/would expect this team to finish in the top 4 of the conference and have a number 4 or higher seed in the tourney? I would think yes, but CDC will probably use COVID as an excuse to give Shaka one more year. If the talent reads 4th place or higher in the conference and we finish 7th or 8th, I think even the guy who doesn't pay attention says 'whoa, we've got a problem here'. We're basically in the exact same position we were in this time last year, and the only hope at this point is that Shaka sees the writing on the wall, and goes after some other job that has a longer contract. Let's face it, CDC is most likely still hoping like hell he doesn't have to deal with basketball after having to deal with football in December. One thing I think you can expect from CDC and that is no extension for Shaka, unless there is some magical turnaround and we go to the Elite Eight or better.
  11. Agree here. I really think he has two more great years left, and then he will look at his resume and see how he feels. If Belichek doesn't win a ring during the next two years and Tom adds even just one more, I think he retires after the 2022 season.
  12. ...and I almost forgot....the score that some people care abou the most.. Super Bowls won by Tom Brady without Belichek.....1 Super Bowls won by Belichek without Brady.............0 I think Tom is determined to keep his advantage in this area.
  13. Looked at that list. Brady has as many Super Bowl rings as the Dolphins and Cowboys combined! Of course he is the GOAT in football, and now the question can be asked if he is the GOAT in all team sports. Basketball has Russell. What 9 rings out of 11 years? He lost in the finals once I think? So in terms of winning championships he is slightly better than Brady. But you could say there was no free agency in basketball in the 1960s. Jordan, 6 and 0. Brady can't beat that winning percentage wise. I think it is safe to say that Brady, Jordan and Russell are the top three in terms of winning championships. Of those, Brady is the only one to win with more than one team. I suppose you could say that with the analysis above, Brady has won 7 seven championships with three different teams, considering all of the turnover in roster personnel. If you agree to that idea, then I think Brady is the GOAT in all team sports. I am sure someone will come up with a way to measure the amount of roster turnover for the three athletes and their teams. Watching the game tonight, seeing the super tight spirals and thinking of how the NFL treasures QB play, I feel comfortable saying Tom has 2 more years left at a super high level. If he is able to inspire teammates to buy-in during the next two years, I don't see why he can't win at least one more ring. That would be 8.
  14. Status of two bucs, please; Antonio brown and Ronald jones ii
  15. To answer somebody’s thought about being a historical collapse, if we lose every remaining game, we have the number 2 collapse in Texas history. 14-0 to 15 -13....from memory....not looking it up...is an all-timer.
  16. Only about 30 years overdue...he is/was a shrewd businessman...I always thought he pissed off jones, because drew owned the trademark/copywright whatever it was called for the ring of honor. He never stood a chance getting in the hof until he sold the thing to the jones, so he sold it at least 15 years ago. That story could be totally b.s.
  17. Three OSU players with 4 fouls? We're down by 5 and the question for the committee, how low do you rank Texas? Does the last 10 game record still mean a lot?
  18. They obviously need a real AD, but nobody cares.
  19. This team is showing what they really are, a 3rd place at best big 12 team, number 11 ranking or so...will win one ncaa game.
  20. Just listened to Gordon interview of Javier from 2013 super bowl...dude talked so fast hard to understand....”only beatle I know for sure is Bruce Springsteen”....pretty funny stuff.
  21. We still number 7? How much is Baylor favored?
  22. "Chris Del Conte needs to up his game. He needs to tell the donors with a shit record of hiring head coaches their services are no longer needed on the 40 Acres. He needs to restructure UT athletics." I think he can easily do this. The question will be whether the president will agree with CDC. If the two men agree on this strategy, then problem solved. Where is the offended BMD gonna go? The Joe Jamail of the 2020s is not walking through that door, mostly because Texas almost certainly will not feel it if a BMD pulls his money. $200 million annual? Imo, not a chance a BMD is pulling more than about 15% of this amount from supporting the program. If a BMD did pull 15%, then CDC should meet with the prez and agree to say goodbye. Once Texas says goodbye to $30 million a year, then the rest of the BMDs will fold, and the money will continue to flow in. We have finally reached the age of the AD realistically acting as THE ATHLETIC DIRECTOR, not a babysitter of BMDs. He really should do this....and now. Hey, maybe he already has done this? Anybody think that is a possibility?
  23. But the strange thing to me is that if I’m Rodgers and I am confident I have 4 downs, I’m gonna try to get closer to the goal line with a run mixed in there at some point. Say I am at the 3 or 4 yardline after 2nd down. Opens playbook to a run or pass. The way Rodgers threw the ball into the end zone instead of running makes me think maybe he knew he only had 3 downs. What did Rodgers say when asked if he knew he only had 3 downs?
  24. Sarks never sleep smell blood in the water all gas no brakes comin for you OU crew
