  1. It works like this. Some attractive lady in a bikini top with some see through skirt/wrap will stroll by on the beach and when she walks by your chair she will say in a low voice "massaje?" with an "h" sound, not the "ge" sound you typically associate with this service. She will be attractive, she probably won't take American Express, and there will be more than one provider that walks by. I didn't ask for a menu of services, and I didn't personally partake in the services, but my instinct tells me that if the masseuse is wearing a bikini, she's probably a professional.
  2. May I take issue with characterizing this as a "scholarship?" Look, I'm not saying it's bad policy, or that I'm against it. In fact, I think it's good policy to take the best and brightest, regardless of income, and use them for betterment of society. It seems like this is designed to make sure that the best and brightest (top 6% at least) do not take lesser paths, because of lack of resources. Given the chance to vote on this issue, I would vote for it. However, the definition of scholarship is: a grant or payment made to support a student's education, awarded on the basis of academic or other achievement. As best i can tell the only academic or other achievement required here is for your parents to be below a certain income. In my world, that means you didn't achieve anything. Perhaps if we want to be an institution of excellence, we start with using the proper nomenclature. That is all.
  3. Miami in the summer is hot, but not as hot as most of Texas. I cannot stress strongly enough that, if you want to sit on a beach for 72 hours and have people do everything for you, go to one of these places. If service is valued by you, and you want a taste of the easy life, go here. If you're worried about the heat, they will have a cabana boy or girl surround you with 4 beach umbrellas, and they'll come adjust them throughout the day to make sure you're shaded. If you've always wanted to have a couples massage, in your room, from a Eastern European massage independent contractor, they have that too. House car will be a Bentley, Escalade or Tesla and the concierge will move you up the list at any restaurant.
  4. This is the correct answer: https://www.acqualinaresort.com/ This is second place https://m.fourseasons.com/surfside/ direct flight to FLL, 15 minute Uber to hotel.
  5. The Town. A little violence, a little baseball, and a little Blake Lively. What’s not to like?
  6. Surly.
  7. Gonna take some Wahine's out for a little sailin', a little adventure.
  8. Maybe you made the right decision. It seems like you would want to go super fast, super competitive (one-design) or super comfortable, and I don't think this checks any of those boxes. I think someone raced a Gunboat one year, that's probably the ride you angle for.
  9. I'm not saying it's impossible, but with the size and the weight of these boats, their movements are somewhat predictable. When that guy brings all those wimmens and dudes wearing the brand new Musto gear up on the bow to pull in some spinnaker - those are VIP's that want to have a story for the bar later. If there was substantial likelihood of ass over elbows, they wouldn't be there. Try not to step on anything slippery and keep your weight low.
  10. I don't know man, maybe that guy's technique was bad but it seems like they could unload it a little, somehow. I think that dude took it in the chips. Those things are freaking tankers. I guess they "race" them for entertainment, but surely they're not trying too hard.
  11. Sailors, I was watching this video and saw something surprising. At the 2:09 mark they're taking down the kite, and the bowman is at the end of the pole. Watch what happens to the bowman when he spikes the shackle? Looks like he takes it in the head or face, hard. Mind you this is a very high dollar operation - the sailors are paid professionals, the boat costs millions to sail annually. Question, there's got to be a better technique, right? G650, I know, I know, use a sprit and you don't have these problems, but for these guys, wtf? You can hurt someone like that.
  12. By my math pink dude punches two wimmens and white shirt dude punches one wimmens. Equality seems to have arrived in California.
  13. https://www.flybayou.com/aboutmichael use this guy bonus internets points if you can figure out his connection to aggy tears.
  14. Father's day 1999 or 2000 - rained all day. Dad and I drove around towing the boat waiting for a weather break and got a 1 hour window. Boat in water in Shamrock Cove. He went 3-0 on slot reds and I broke off two, and had one come unhooked at the boat. Rain started back up, and we went in. My dad thought it was very funny that he outfished me that day, and talked about it for a long-ass time. Although it was unintentional, the best gift I could give him that day was an honest victory, and I gave him that. So, you should go to Corpus and take your dad or son.
  15. I'm headed to Galveston Next Thursday (18th). Fingers crossed that the island gets a really nice bath and clears out right before I show up.
  16. Check this out: http://allears.net/walt-disney-world/wdw-accommodation/wilderness-lodge-fact-sheet/
  17. If you go back to last night, I dumped 42 inches in your mom, at the time the one-day record.
  18. Never have I been more confident in a game than I was riding the train to that game that day. glorious day.
  19. I’m going to be in ... Louisiana for a soccer tournament that first weekend. dont want to go to NRG for game 3 so it’s LSU, okie lite or ousux.
  20. I feel like it’s going to be a big night. i want my kids to experience that, but with it being hot af and the potential to be a close game/long night, along with the potential for Louisiana drunkenness, it feels like maybe too much for the fam. im guessing best case scenario that’s a 6 hour ordeal - leave hotel no later than 4:30 for 6 start - back at hotel by 10:30.
  21. 6yo son wants to go to a game. Obviously LSU is going to be a special night but I’m wondering if it’s a dumbass idea to take a 6yo, 13 and my wife to that game. Too much? maybe OSU will be more family friendly? thoughts?
  22. That’s Alabama black snek. It’s a lot of things but it ain’t too beaucoup.
  23. CoTex

    Tex Mex

Herberts taco hut in San Marcos last Tuesday. Margaritas are that wine mix crap so drink beer. Food was on point across the board. something about San Marcos reminds me of 1990’s Austin.
  24. If you decide to go to NASA, there’s an Alamo car rental at the Magic Kingdom. Sorta. It’s really at the gas station across the street but it works. About 1.5 hours to the east coast and a fun relaxing day trip. Also, if you’ve selected a hotel - speak up - we might have some pro-tips. Unless of course your hotel is the super 8 in east Orlando. Then these people will just call you a poor.
  25. I feel better now. thank you for this.
