  1. Computers also biased for Texas. Sagarin #2 SP+ #3 FEI #2 etc
  2. It was unthinkable to leave the SEC out. History had proven that given enough mulligans, SEC teams had a good chance of winning 2 or 4 team tournaments. Especially when they made up 50 or 100% of the field.
  3. Massey Composite Dec 3, 2023 Michigan Washington Texas Ohio State Alabama Georgia Florida State Reminded me of 2014 when undefeated FSU skated through an easy ACC schedule, was also 7th in the composite IIRC, then was pounded by 39 points in the semi-final.
  4. Dunno if best ever, but beating Alabama and Michigan in back to back seasons hasn't been done in a while:
  5. Texas wins by 17, hype train approaches USC 2005 levels. Meanwhile aggie blogger moves Texas down to 7 in the SEC power ratings because Michigan win not impressive.
  6. I am a big fan of James Franklin at Penn State. Of course that is because I dislike Penn State. Great that they have a curse of a coach who's win totals look respectable until one digs into the record against top or ranked opponents. My sincere hope is that they can continue to rack up enough wins to retain him while also winning nothing of note.
  7. The mighty Georgia Bulldogs blew out the best intramural team in the ACC, proving that they deserved a higher rank than Alabama.
  8. Michigan needed to get into the playoffs so Texas can have wins over the SEC, PAC12 and B1G champions all in one season.
  9. That play was especially impressive considering that Washington State's defense is 85 Bears level.
  10. Ah, strolls down memory lane to the 2014 season. The feel good story of a "third string" QB leading Ohio State to a national championship in the playoffs. If only Florida State had a shot they would have replicated that success... Jerk that I am, I prefer to compare them to a different playoff team from that year. Undefeated ACC Champs, Florida State. A team that squeaked by a weak schedule, but were propped up by their "defending national champions" label. How well did they do in the semi-final again? 59-20 ass kicking by Oregon. Who could have forseen such a thing? Well they were 5th in the Massey Composite that December 6th behind Alabama, Oregon, TCU and Ohio State. Where is 2023 Florida State? 6th behind Michigan, Washington, Texas, Ohio State, and Alabama. FEI has them 12th. Oof.
  11. As bad as Iowa's offense was, it was only slightly shittier than Louisville's.
  12. This shitty undefeated Florida St team is shittier than the 2014 version that was rolled in the semifinal.
  13. Oklahoma tanking on purpose to duck the rematch.
  14. He and the team tried their hardest not to exceed 7 wins today, but try as they might they couldn't match the KSU will to lose.
  15. How long before AI replaces the play callers? And why don't we have one already?
  16. The most pick-6s thrown in a season is 7 by Crab Leg aka Jameis Winston. Preskott and Mills both have 3 this year, and incidentally are also both tied at most interceptions thrown at 15.
  17. On the other hand, what does the roster comparison look like if you go by number of years in the program or career starts?
  18. Voted comet. They travel faster than asteroids, so there is much less time for Hypnotoad to lead a team of misfit wildcat drillers on a mission to destroy it before impact.
  19. If I was a Washington fan / troll, would have gone with Penix Mightier as my username. Will Washington really mighty their Penix? Cause Indiana tried to mighty their Penix, wasted a pretty penny, they don't mind telling you.
  20. The answer is obvious, and should emulate the most successful world football tournament. The new format should only play every four years, and be hosted in the state that pays the NCAA officials the biggest bribe while making the most outlandish promises regarding new facilities and tourist attractions.
  21. Think I have been pretty terrible so far, so may as well keep the streak alive: Texas 31 Baylor 24 Bijan 161 yds
  22. Maybe Sark will leave for Project Runway and we won't have to pay his buyout.
