  1. There wasn’t really anything to be done. Hence my point about protecting the ball.
  2. Where does the movie sit on your yearly list?
  3. What? That’s your interpretation of what I’m saying? Ok then. I’m saying inside the ten yard line, simply taking the sack means we still have a chance. Brady didn’t have that same luxury. The Super Bowl vs the CFP is completely irrelevant. The Super Bowl is more important to Tom Brady and the CFP is more important to Quinn. Im saying you’re an asshole because instead of having the actual discussion you resorted to some “oh you guys just can’t understand” thing.
  4. I remember one fumbled snap that was on the center but there could have been others I forgot. And a split second from a fumble is literally not a fumble.
  5. Field position meant literally everything on that play. No he didn’t. I’m sure people blamed him also. So now your point is we shouldn’t blame people when they screw up?
  6. I want a quarterback to understand the situation. Quinn didn’t.
  7. Yes they can fail in that moment and Quinn failed. So why are you pretending he didn’t? You’re being an intentionally obtuse asshole instead seeing the clear point being made. The right play is the right play. He made the wrong one. No one thinks it’s unique to Quinn, but that doesn’t mean we pretend that he didn’t fuck up. Instead of doing this stupid ass “oh you just don’t get it” thing you could have just said, yea he made a bad play and moved on. Shit maybe bads not even the right word. But he made the wrong play for sure.
  8. @jimmyjazz imagine if before the play Quinn and Sark can talk through all possible scenarios of what would happen. What do you think the last thing the coach would say is? I bet it’s something like “no matter what, don’t turn the ball over. If we get stopped our defense can get us the ball back.” You can be a dickhead all you want but there’s one thing that is the worst outcome and Quinn did that one thing.
  9. Is your contention Tom Brady never made mistakes? I bet if you asked him he’d say he should have protected the football. That’s even ignoring the field position difference in the two plays. Did Quinn make a mistake on that play or not? That’s the argument you’re attempting to have.
  10. I would wonder about playcalling more than personnel. I imagine we were much simpler in the red zone with Casey and thus more successful. We get far too cute these days.
  11. I can’t make you understand. In no way am I saying I could do it. Im not saying I am good enough or have ever been in that situation. I’m simply saying you act like no one here understands pressure in sports. Plenty of people do. He handled it poorly, as many people would. That’s why very few are chosen to play Qb at Texas. We shouldn’t expect them to have the reactions of internet message board has beens
  12. Thanks I try. I guess instead of protecting the ball the better play was to give up a strip sack for a TD. Crazy stuff to think a quarterback should understand to not turn the ball over. Is that yalls best argument? I couldn’t do it so I can’t say Quinn should. I promise if you pay me millions of dollars to play quarterback at Texas I’ll only fumble it because I’m a bitch, not because I am trying to do something stupid.
  13. I’ve been in plenty of high pressure situations in high level sports. So have plenty of other posters here. That doesn’t mean anyone here would make the right play. But we aren’t the starting quarterback at Texas. So yea, he should do better than message board posters might. You seem to want to fight about it for some reason when all I’m asking is for a 3rd year starter to understand when to protect the ball. That’s it. Don’t turn the ball over. Period.
  14. Yes no one on this website has ever been in pressure situations in sports. No one can possibly understand how to react in those situations. This just isn’t that hard dude. Don’t fucking turn the ball over. Protect the ball. That’s it. It’s not like this is the first time he didn’t understand that concept.
  15. Yea I would. If my aunt had a dick…But he didn’t. He needed to understand that he couldn’t get the throw off and trying to risked ending the game right then and there. Eating it means they have the ball backed up in their own territory against our defense and we have timeouts. The worst thing he could do is turn the ball over. He did the worst thing. Sometimes your job at QB is to limit damage. That’s a concept that Quinn has never shown he understands. The missed block is irrelevant to what Quinn should have done after. His job is to respond. He didn’t.
  16. And the offensive lineman missed a block. Shit happens. Multiple players can screw up on the same play. It is possible. What does that have to with Quinn fumbling the football? No one is blaming Quinn for a missed block. I’m blaming him for his response to that situation. His job is to respond, he responded poorly and made the worst possible play. Understand the pressure, and make the smart play.
  17. And this is based on his 3 total turnovers this season?
  18. Sure. Not sure what your point is.
  19. I’m pretty sure a throwaway wouldn’t be as bad as a scoop and score. Also, why do I care what a message boards reaction would be? I care about what the right football play would be. The right football play was to eat the ball and not risk what happened
  20. There isn’t. Spearing is rolled into the targeting rule. It is very clear, 100% targeting. It’s not even debatable. The player launched and used the crown of his helmet, and his forearm as a weapon. It belongs on a video clip defining what targeting is
  21. Yes. Or fumble and create a scoop and score opportunity. You tell me which outcome is worse Because Garrett Gilbert played
  22. I thought the cgi in the closing sequence was terribad. Overall the show seems just fine. Seems much to caught up in being violent and gory just for the sake of it.
