Okay. That's an absurd statement but whatever. Not interested in furthering this convo other than saying I hope he figures it out this season and blossoms down the stretch.

Thanks. I was too lazy to look it up I guess. Honestly not sure what I was going off of, because I totally remember now thinking that Allen was almost immediately better in the NBA.

Hayes and Bamba both could literally only dunk. Turner had decent game but couldn’t put the ball on the floor. He is the only guy on that list capable of putting the ball on the floor and is the best shooter of that list. And if you don’t see that he is already more athletic than those guys then you must have only ever seen the last 4 games from him.

That said those are poor player comps anyway. Those guys are all 5s which GB3 clearly is not.

No one made him play for Texas. He could have gone to the G League out of high school.

We will see how his play progresses during the rest of the season. I'm only making the point that as of right now he has only hurt his draft stock, and to add to that, there is no guarantee he would have been drafted out of HS anyway. He was 9th in the country out of HS - the NBA never took more than 9 guys out of HS in one draft - and since then the draft has gotten much more competitive internationally. As for whether he would benefit more from a sophomore year in college or a year at the end of someone's bench or in the G League we will see. That kind of depends on the player, but we have a lot of basketball to play before we get to that decision matrix. Right now I think it would be very borderline.

Compared to the 4 he listed? I'm not even going to bother comparing him to Turner or Bamba. Allen was both bigger and more polished on both ends of the floor for his position - but not as athletic or fluid with the ball. Hayes was a bit bigger but also played himself into the draft - which Brown has a very good chance at doing. As of right now Brown's draft stock is not as high as Hayes' ended up being.

No player would benefit from staying an extra year with Shaka if the G league is available.

He’s more polished than every player on that list except maybe Allen and he’s more athletic than all of them. He suffers from the same problems that every athletic wing/big has suffered from under Shaka. We simply do not know how to effectively utilize the PnR properly so these super athletes get wasted. His draft stock is still a lottery pick and will be unless he just forgets how to jump between now and the draft.

The GOP plan is working. Q-tards spout unfounded nonsense that the system has no integrity. Regular people suddenly start to discuss auditing the systems with no basis because “who knows, we just want to be safe” and “can we really trust elected officials and Dominion,” etc?

Next thing you know, the GOP makes voting itself harder and more complicated, creating more lines, more questions, more waits. Trust in the process continues to weaken

we ordered the ppv.  that first fight was really fun highlighted by a great ko punch.

Through the app or through cable/satellite? The pic quality was really dodgy through the app for the first fight. It’s improved for this Lopez/Santana fight. Just wondering if it’s an app problem or my internetz.

Is it worse than a 6-5 center? Covington or House all having to guard the 5?  The size of cousins and wood alone is an upgrade.

    had no idea

PJ is still a much more effective post defender than Boogie or Wood. They still don’t have any rim protection and losing Roco is especially tough on their ability to switch.

All that said the roster really isn’t bad but it certainly isn’t a contender. I do think it’s likely a playoff team. They still have James Harden after all

And we all know how this works though with these people. Impropriety somewhere is "proof" of fraud everywhere. "What else are they hiding?" mentality. That's why it's important that every story and accusation like this gets completely dismantled. Yeah, the crazies will just move onto the next impending bombshell, but the ones on the fringe can't start wondering, "Hmm, maybe there's something to this."

No. Just ignore their bullshit and move on. Trying to debunk every conspiracy lends credence to those conspiracies. Ask for evidence and move on.

friday would be a good time to sign up for dazn:

    • 12/4 billie joe saunders in action
    • 12/12 - anthony joshua in action
    • 12/18 - ggg in action
    • 12/19 - canelo vs callum smith
    • 1/2 ryan garcia vs luke cambell

    pretty solid value for $19.99.

Lots of good fights coming up. Spence and Garcia on Saturday should be great. In addition to Joshua next week we also get Shakur Stevenson.

Kind of an important one. Let’s be clear though, the Democratic never adopted the slogan. Only progressives intent on losing elections.

To the extent you want to ignore the fact that I think it's a terrible slogan, precisely!

Except you aren’t arguing the slogan. You’re arguing about the nature of the reform and that we shouldn’t defund police. So your issue is with the general idea of taking police funding away not the slogan that is used for it.

Enough to lose ground in the house and not gain the senate IMO. Obviously I don’t think it’s just that one thing, but if you’re looking for exit poll data saying it affected voters’ choices I don’t have that

Sorry sawbonz 2014 didn’t vote. Sawbonz 2008 was Obama though so...

good luck with your defund the police slogan

Dems also won Georgia and now have runoffs for the Georgia senate seats so...

If I want to improve education I don't say "Defund the Schools".

If I want to improve the police force I'm going to have to put more money into training and more money into investigating shitty police officers and more money into training.

So your argument isn’t actually about the slogan.

"Listen to" should be pretty obvious. You read what they write and seek out their thoughts to hear. Do you do that?

"Support" should also be obvious and can range from being a 100%, full-on repeating-the-slogan ally or "I disagree with the slogan but I keep that to myself and defend against dishonest attacks while promoting the underlying message about police brutality". Do you do that?

Sure. I also want to know what that policy is and make sure it is right.

I'm not concerned about the opposition. They will lie about everything. I am more worried about my supposed allies who will accept the opposition's framing and attack poor and disadvantaged populations using the weapons handed to them by racists and fascists.

Also, I can recognize that "Defund the Police" wasn't invented by politicians for political purposes. It was/is a slogan used by street activists to be heard. If politicians and centrists are worried about politically correct slogans, then they should do the work and create those.
