  1. Haven't read the two pages on my phone and for a military documentary I fully enjoyed the Apache warrior. Great insight into the experience of the 6-6 Apache flight group for desert storm.
  2. tell that to my sinuses
  3. The Augmented Reality platform?
  4. The gif of the asteroid above makes me think that someone should start a band named Space Dust and have it be all esoteric harmonies with a blend of symphonic dissonance.
  5. https://www.netflix.com/title/80136447 Secrets of our Solar System
  6. Netflix and I can go look it up later this evening

  10. inertia is hard when you have a large body of mass trying to stop too. It's how you break, tear, and injure things. stop, drop and roll should only apply to fire drills.
  11. I was watching a documentary on the formation of our solar system last night, title unknown at the moment. I gleaned a couple of new tidbits. Jupiter caused all sorts of chaos in the early stages of formation, was on a crash course with the Sun, until Saturn popped up and stabilized it's rotation around the sun. The second, more interesting piece, is again the topic of the mystery planet that created the chaos that helped form our planet by sending ice and rock asteroids crashing into the near sun orbits. They eventually caused many of the impact craters on the moon, mars, and earth. The hypothesis was that this planet was impacted by Jupiter's gravitational pull so much so that 10 billion years ago it was sent out into deep space at 1 kilometer/second never to be seen again and with no way to track it down. I think it could be feasible and at this point without extraordinary evidence have to say I doubt it.
  12. and what about whiskey, cigars, sex, music, money, blah, blah, blah?!
  13. so you lost?
  14. I heard recently that some residential development is going into the old first Honda location off of 2222. Anyone know more about it?
  15. I did all of my Agile training with Angela Bruckman. She has some good books, insights, and knows her stuff. If you need training, I highly recommend her.
  16. I did 80-100 for about 2 months and it burned me the fuck out. I refuse to ever do that again. As soon as I was done and saved the projects and program, as I was the person in charge, I got released. Nice way to say thank you.
  17. Stay in your lane and allow the freedom for your developers, scrum masters, etc. to do their thing. Executives should NOT get involved in the weeds of the product development lifecycle. They need to trust the product owner and team members. Communication is extremely important during this transition. As a leader, focus on your priorities within the methodology and stick to them. Don't go bouncing around trying to change the world, yet. Become successful with your sprints and tracking your burn downs. Then transition into additional nuances of what agile means. My advice is to focus on release management and the subsequent process flow. Once your team(s) are in a good groove, you should be releasing updates as often as every week to maybe once every 4 weeks. Test, test, test and test again. Back-log grooming and understanding what is most impactful to your business (revenue stream, customer base, customer base opinions, etc.) is also vitally important. Don't over promise anything, yet. Invest in post-it notes.
  18. I've done that a couple times. Both worth it.
  19. yeah, I hated the ramp up and chose to have it disabled. just give me the power, mcfly.

  22. Not only make fun of them, make them go get some, and then make fun of them some more. So many variations of "salty" would be on display.
  23. no youtube at the office and i'm listening to willie nelson's, very far to crawl
  24. Good creative police work on a relatively cold case. I don't think there is any legal matter or issue with this IF they had a warrant and in the T's and C's the DNA company explicitly states they will work with law enforcement on certain matters. Welcome to the digital age where none of what makes you special matters as it's all digitized and computers don't have the cognitive ability (yet) to see you as anything different than a 1 or 0.
