  1. Wouldn't be surprised if he ends up at a G5. He burned a lot of bridges on his way out of Arkansas and honestly his rating mostly came from his camp performances, he wasn't really that good in high school. He's pretty soft - Pittman seems to prefer road grader types. 4* Ty'keist Crawford and 4* Marcus Henderson are probably the future at tackle.
  2. Honestly thought it was closer to 50% these days. You can tell some are trying to make Fayetteville a mini-Austin type vibe. Right now on the 3rd party sites you can buy a ticket to the Arkansas-Texas game for around the same price that you can buy an Arkansas season ticket in the shitty seats. This may sound weird but if you don't care where you sit or being surrounded with Hog fans then it might not be a bad idea to buy the whole season and then try to sell the other games and make some money back. Prices may go down closer to the game but I wouldn't guarantee it. This is probably the most anticipated OOC game in Fayetteville since USC in 2006.
  3. That is a terrible picture of Sam. Yeah they could have used a photo of him without an upper decker in lol
  4. Per an arkie friend, he got in an argument at the spring game with his coach. So he grabbed his bat and ball and went to Norman. Apparently OU tried to come after Treylon Burks (the #1 receiver and one of the best in the SEC) first but he said no so they moved on to Woods. Probably wants to play in a more pass-happy offense and Rattler is a more established QB. The timing was definitely weird though and this new rule is going to make it even harder for mid to lower tier schools to compete if teams like Alabama, etc. can just poach their best players every year with no recourse for tampering. Funny thing is the guy who replaces Woods is most likely Jaqualyn Crawford who transferred from Oklahoma to Arkansas last offseason and sat out last year.
  5. FWIW Northwest Arkansas National Airport (XNA) announced today that they will introduce direct flights to Austin this Summer for anyone interested in making the trip to Fayetteville this Fall.
  6. Might be this year according to a few bowl projections
  7. Honestly don’t even care how the rest of the season goes if we do that, beyond tired of losing to the Aggies. Pittman has already exceeded my expectations for this year anyway, everything else is just gravy. We were supposed to play Notre Dame this year and with the way they looked today I’m not sure we couldn’t have given them a scare.
  8. I mean one of the first things he told the team when he was hired was “if you guys were doing your jobs I wouldn’t be here”. He was a good recruiter but terrible at developing relationships with his players and they hated him. Plus his coordinators were awful. Had some good position coaches like Jeff Traylor but Chavis wasn’t a good DC at A&M at all, not sure what the thought process was there.
  9. Yeah Ole Miss, Mississippi State or Missouri are the best shot. But two of those are on the road. Tennessee at home may be close, but we don't deserve the benefit of the doubt right now. Wouldn't be surprised if we played A&M close again either and lose in OT yet again in the most heartbreaking way possible 😅
  10. Yeah I would rather have our game vs. A&M go to home/home and replace the game in Arlington with a Big 12 team if we absolutely have to have it. We’ve played Texas Tech, Kansas State and TCU recently and have you guys next year and then Oklahoma State after that. Wouldn’t mind playing Baylor or OU (even though it wouldn’t be pretty) every once in a while. There’s a strong Oklahoma connection on our current staff.
  11. Arkansas does have the most SEC championship game appearances out of the non-“big 6” programs, but we have had four coaches in 8 years ever since Petrino wrecked his bike after an 11-2 season so it’s impossible to develop any consistency with that much turnover. We did start the 2015 season ranked and briefly made the top 25 in the 2016 season which was only four years ago, but since then I’m pretty sure we’re on our worst 3-year run in school history. Bielema got lazy and cratered the program and Morris, while he was a solid recruiter, obviously isn’t close to SEC head coach material. Pittman may not be either but at least the players love him, he’s known as a good recruiter and he hired a really good pair of coordinators.
  12. We have some pretty good skill position players. It's just everywhere else that is complete shit. I expect our offense to be pretty good with Briles at times this year but defense is probably still another 2-3 years away from being anything but awful.
  13. Well nearly half of those are under Van Horn lol. Not his fault Hogs dropped a pop up to clinch a national title last year. Could have been the 2 Cy Young winners in the last 10 years too though. Arkansas currently has the #1 recruiting class for 2020 by Perfect Game.
  14. Something like 4 of the last 5 Arkansas-A&M games have gone into OT or been a one-possession game, but Arkansas has lost every single one and invented new ways to choke it away every time. It's looking like we finally might get our talent level up from Bielema's awful roster management with how we're recruiting, but unfortunately so are they.
  15. Also not sure who the opposing coach would be if that's the case
  16. Not sure how reliable this is, but I've heard Buechele's parents are pretty close with Jeff Traylor still.
  17. Yeah, he's obviously the main guy to watch. Freaky athleticism for a 6'11 guy. But he'll probably be double teamed in every game this year so our other frontcourt players will have to step up. Isaiah Joe is a freshman who a lot of people think could be one of our better 3 point shooters ever. Made 9 in the first exhibition game. Jalen Harris is a transfer from New Mexico who will start at PG, he's fast and should be a good fit for our system but also had a bit of a turnover problem in our exhibitions. And then Reggie Chaney at PF is a freshman who probably will end up starting by the end of the year, believe he was the #3 ranked player in Texas so some may be familiar with him. Starting lineup will likely look like this: Jalen Harris (6'2, 166) Isaiah Joe (6'5, 167) Mason Jones (6'5, 207) Adrio Bailey (6'6, 222) Daniel Gafford (6'11, 233)
  18. You guys definitely have more depth than we do, but with 9 newcomers we'll find out a lot about us as well
  19. This will easily be Morris' least talented roster. Arkansas has one of the top WR classes in the country committed and just got the #1 TE. It's not like they're going to be this bad forever. Have a borderline top 10 class on Rivals right now, will likely be Arkansas' best recruiting class since rankings started.
  20. It definitely is different from the rest of the state. More liberal, but that’s to be expected in an area with a heavy college influence. It does remind me of Austin in some ways, but obviously on a smaller scale. A lot of artsy and festival type stuff. The new Topgolf in Rogers should attract a lot of people from around the area. It should outgrow Little Rock eventually if it keeps up at the pace it’s going.
