  1. They can call themselves whatever the hell they want, but they will forever be SouthWest Texas Teachers' College or SouthWest Texas State University -- either way, SWT. Lulz.
  2. And @thunderlounge: If it's like last year and previous years, the AT&T U-Verse app will have every Texas home game plus Texas' SEC conference away-games for free for AT&T U-Verse subscribers. As in years past, they'd show all the SEC home games, plus all SEC conference games. (The U-Verse PC access ended 7 some-odd years ago.) On TV, the SEC Network will have some Texas games, but I don't know how often they will use the multi-channel SEC Network channels to show multiple SEC-baseball games simultaneously this year, or if they will even bother to do that at all. Maybe they won't. The 2 beginning-of-the-year tournaments Texas is in, will be on TV somewhere. The only non-conference away game for Texas, as noted above, is with SWT in San Marcos.
  3. MULEDICK! Another workaround to remember. You could've just copied Discord and used fixupx instead! Then that would be one less workaround to remember, rather than every site making up their own branded workaround. Lulz.
  4. It was a story that one of the people who followed recruiting at the time or it was SID Bill Little telling the story in an interview.
  5. Yep, Brain-Fog-Mackovic refused to recruit him, said he was "too short." 😡
  6. We still need a placekicker and not Headcase-Bert, or we will lose games as a result just like we did this year.
  7. That's already happened more times than I can count there. However, I don't understand enough Nihongo to know what political orientation those candidate speaker-cars/vans were. They just reminded me of the 70s when we had those vehicles here, too.
  8. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt3344306/ "Tokyo After Dark" Clip of that ep: Hilariously enough, I didn't decide to visit Japan because of this episode. I wanted to see a whole bunch of things in addition to the modern and traditional stuff.
  9. I knew about it because I saw Anthony Bourdain's food/travel episode on it where he went to the original Robot Restaurant and described it in his own unique storytelling way. Well, now there's TWO of those things, right across the street from each other. Indulge yourself! Lulz.
  10. Now I'm going to have to post Japan photos here. Been twice already, going for more. I was stunned that Tokyo, the largest city in the world by population (for now), was packed into the same relative metro area size as Houston, but had barely noticeable city noise compared to Houston/Austin/Dallas. I like train noise, so even that's never a bother. Kyoto wasn't so bad on my first trip in '16 (The Golden Pavilion was maxed out, but I was head and shoulders taller than everyone, so I didn't consider that much of a problem. Lulz.), but 2 years ago Kyoto Station was a mob scene even in the middle of the humid summers there-- more people like me who grew up in hot, no-wind humidity and could handle it. Thankfully, I have a plan to see what I want to see in Kyoto for my next wandering and then get OUT and back to Osaka.
  11. That's either the new incarnation of Robot Restaurant (It reopened in 2024!) or Samurai Restaurant which is directly across that small street facing them on Sakura-dori Street in the Kabukicho area of Shinjuku, Tokyo. They seem to both do these type of shows, so I'd check to see which one I want. Both Robot Restaurant and Samurai Restaurant are reviewed in this article. https://www.travelcaffeine.com/robot-restaurant-review/
  12. I like my Breville Barista Pro that I got during covid. I have tried many varieties of coffee using it, and the one I enjoy pulling espresso the most is one you can get from Costco/HEB/etc. or directly from their https://rutamayacoffee.com/ site - Ruta Maya: Dark Roast. It's arabica coffee from Chiapas, Mexico, that's distributed from here in Austin. Their site doesn't say whether they roast it here or in Mexico.
  13. One of his grandsons is QB Cole Lourd on the football team. He even engineered a TD drive during the last spring game.
  14. If he gets David Carr-ed, by going to a team that says, "OK, do it yourself, 'Hero!'", and has no offensive line/running for his life, he will forever have the yips/get-crushed.
  15. Title change reminds me of my favorite "Texas to the SEC" design. Lulz.
  16. I LOLed when Musk said playing League Of Legends would seriously impact his Mars and other business goals. Lulz.
  17. The tally, at last count, was 11 kids by what, 5 different women? Lulz.
