Cross Posting,
Pretty funny CSB this morning:
Quan was on the morning show with Bobby and Gerry at the Texas Exes golf tourney. He introduced himself as "Lindy Holmes' Daddy" to the crowd, then went on to tell a story about how he has tried to speak with Holmes at a few events over the years and Holmes refuses to talk with him. So he went and asked his agent why the guy won't talk to him, and the agent said it is because every year he gets that clip sent to him not only from the Texas side, but from the OU side as well. He hates it.<< insert FUPM Curse picture here >> Lulz.

No, the seat quantities are even. The tunnel is why there's a small patch of crimson shitheads in the Texas end zone seats.
That's not what the news article at the time said. I can't remember where I read it --- in The Daily Texan or wherever.

Actually, I always thought Thursday (or earlier) is the day to head up I-35 for the RRS.

I think the legal fight for the PAC12 cash reserves is going to be magnificent. OSU & WSU think the $40mill sitting in the back is theirs. That money didn't just appear there, the 12 members of the conference earned that money. The 10 defectors will want their 12th. Also some of the network monies coming from the OTA and cable companies are on a seven year payout. Meaning the PAC12 is still receiving money from games played all the way back in 2016. So the PAC12 will still be receiving money from this years games in 2030. The 12 teams that earned that money will want their third. OSU & WSU will argue that they abandoned some or all that revenue. This is a messy divorce and the blood letting will be a blast.

There is discussion that the SEC may play nine conference games out of four team pods, with one pod being Texas, OU, TAMU and Arkansas. Those four teams alone mean a total of twelve games total among each other. There could be one of these each week. There’s your ABC 2:30 or 8:00 game. Then, each of these teams plays six more games against other SEC teams, half of which will be big names. On a weekend where TAMU plays OU and Texas plays Tennessee, and Arkansas plays Florida, there will be a lot of Texas TVs tuned to SEC games.
Then, on Fox, the B1G will have a good slate, too. Every week, they will probably have at least one game of national interest. Then, NBC has Notre Dame.
There will be a lot of down channel ESPN and FS1/2 for the Big 12.Big12 will rule #TheOcho! Lulz.

Does anyone know why Texas fans always sit on the same side of the stadium every year? Unless I'm wrong ou fans seem to always get the team entrance side and get to spit on Texas, but we don't get that same opportunity.
This was brought up by AD DeLoss Dodds IIRC, and when it was discussed, the answer that was explained to him was that Mobilehoma would be only too happy to switch sides with us, because the side with the tunnel has less seats than the side without the tunnel.
Because that would reduce Texas' number of seats (and the rancor that would cause), Dodds didn't pursue anything more about it.

I've been to a few 2:30 PM kicks of the RRS, and since the latest CFB scheduling-trend is that "only Losers play at 11 AM," (Craig Way has said it on several occasions) putting this kick at 11 AM seems like a last petty dig at Texas to deny the prestige of primetime ratings to Texas, even if it costs the Big12 money.
Texas and Mobilehoma are both undefeated and ranked, and you put it at 11 AM? That doesn't wash.
It seems illogical, especially since the Irate8 games on the RRS weekend are run out at teams-with-better-records' timeslots? This seems upside-down, and I wouldn't be surprised if we hear it was forced by Yormark.
I know that supposedly the networks have to what amounts to a weekly game-draft of games to fill timeslots, but seeing all the conference games this weekend strikes me of forcing the shit teams in better timeslots even though they're still shitty and will result shitty ratings anyway.
There's been a lot of pundits question this 11 AM kick in passing, saying that when the RRS becomes a SEC game, it won't be a "only Losers play at 11 AM" game, implying that the RRS will be maximized as a primetime matchup.
Maybe the RRS won't be a primetime game, but it should be!
Even going back to 2:30 PM would be preferable to 11 AM Bullshit!

I'd probably pay that if I coulld find it. Cheapest I'm seeing right now is $400 for shitty, shitty singles. I just can't justify that nonsense, even for the best regular season game in all of sports.
I just saw $285 on a site.

Some bullshit honestly. The price on these has skyrocketed in the last 3-5 years. But of course I pay it.I bet it's the grand design by Bellmont to attempt to jam those people who sell their Mobilehoma tickets in order to pay for most or all of their Texas season tickets + Longhorn Foundation donation each year.

Okay. If they compliment Texas on Red-River-Shootout-week and the following week (when they get their asses ANNIHILATED), they get excommunicated.

Why does all that shot have a giant Rice Owl logo?
I mentioned that, too, as soon as someone posted about it.
Evidently that's the symbol of the manufacturer.
Maybe the manufacturers are flied-rice grads, but that's a huge NO to buying any of their merch with that logo on it -- and if they are actually flied-rice grads, they should be smart enough, allegedly, to know that already! Lulz.

I stopped listening to that podcast when I heard "the Texas running game has not been great and is skewed because of Kansas."
Brooks has rushed for 218, 106, and 164 yards in the last 3 weeks. He could have run for 200+ against Baylor if not for the blowout. It was pretty obvious the Texas running game was much better than people expected in the 2nd half of the Bama game when Texas ran it down their throats (i.e. arguably one of the top run defenses in the country).
Have these morons watched Texas at all the last 4 weeks?
They're not analysts, they're religious-fanatics.
They get excommunicated if they compliment Texas.

And a de facto bye against an atrocious UH team after that in a stadium that will be 60% Horns fans.
It won't be 60% Longhorns fans because Cougar High are stapling together an erector-set of rickety stands right now, that 2 days before the game Cougar High's president will tour and find them "unsafe" -- and that it's "too late" to do anything about it.
Then said-Cougar High president will announce proudly that Longhorns fans who have seats in the unsafe-rickety-stands are banned from the game, and that empty seats must remain empty (guarded by ushers & police) and no more allotment nor single-game seats will be sold to Longhorns fans.
It'll be something along those lines........ wait for it!

I think the 2013 and 2015 wins qualify as the "Texas was supposed to get our asses kicked." I can't remember any others in the past 20 years or so. For some of our other wins, e.g., 2008, 2018, I think OU was favored, but I really don't remember anyone thinking an ass-kicking was a likely result.
But in recent memory, like going back to the Mack Brown era, I can't remember a time when the prevailing opinion was that Texas would be handing out an ass kicking and ended up losing. In other words, I can't think of an "OU had no business winning that game" like our victories in 2013 and 2015. You could go back to the prior millennia and look at the OU tie in 1995 and OU win in 1996 for something comparable.
I don't know what any of that all means.
We were supposed to be DESTROYED in ALL 4 of PETER THE GREAT's (Peter Gardere's, for you youngins) 4 consecutive wins over Mobilehoma.
1989, 1990, 1991, and 1992 -- all Peter's wins.
The few Mobilehoma fucksticks that hadn't vacated the stands chanted "graduate! graduate!" after consecutive win #4.
I'm privileged to have witnessed all 4 of those wins in person in the Cotton Bowl stands.
