Dropped a fly ball that hit his glove at the left-field foul line in fair territory. He had time to setup under it-- it wasn't him running at full-speed.

No worries Bing. Shut em down.
Yeah. It was when we remodeled during the 2006 season. Or was it 2007? I remember we had to have the 2007 Regionals at the Dell Diamond for some reason.
DFF was under construction/renovation-expansion that season.
I was in the stands for that regional game win against Brown at Dell Diamond, where Brown refused to pull their starter, their only good pitcher, because their bullpen was a dumpster-fire. Texas won that game 8-2.
That regional was the one Cal-Irvine won.

Surely there are a few chode JUCO steroid monster hitters out there who can’t play defense for shit but can at least mash a few taters. We should get one of those. And a shit ton of steroids. Imagine Volantis all juiced up like god damn Thor throwing 98 and exploding his shoulder.
A Pete Incaviglia clone, then?

Can someone share what happened and what Schloss said, please?
All he said basically was that the game was well-played.... except for that error in RF.
Right-fielder/Montoya inexplicably leaps into the air when a single drops in front of him and it takes a weird bounce-- but not a bounce that warrants taking a big leap into the air, so he has to land, turn around, and go run down the ball--- and that error allows Texas to take the lead on that same play and never look back.
Dude thought he was going to somehow jump into the air, catch the ball off the bounce in mid-air and throw it in more quickly, or something. (??)

Auburn @ Texas Series Thread
in Baseball
The SEC schools treat conference baseball games against us like they're playing us in a regional. It's Bizarro.
