Whatever guy is on the morning drive at 7:00. Some woman is his partner. I don't listen enough to know, and they recently canned the previous crew.  Also said aggy left in part due to the LHN. Obviously had an axe to grind as he said he's a Missouri guy and his school had a seat at the big boy table in the Big 8, but Texas (and apparently only Texas) turned them into a junior member of the Big 12, but now they are an equal with the other members of the SEC.

Just the same bullshit narrative the Texas alone destroys everything.

    Probably this Idiot, Ian Fitzsimmons.

That is indeed what the TV contracts say. BUT if your the two network stake holders and you were asked. Would you rather the Big12's 16th team be SDSU or Utah. ESPN/Fox just might prefer SDSU, thinking there is more population in the San Diego area than in all of Utah. Not to mention BYU delivers a pretty big hunk of Utah. (I know exit fee and all that)

You can't count the people in Moron Valley in the San Diego metro area because the nickname checks out.  Lulz.

Seriously?  He was content with the Apple deal?

Holy shit...this guy is in charge of a P5 university with that mindset?  How is this even possible?

I've known a few people that went there and taught there at ASU, and I've even visited the campus.

What I most remember is the ASU mantra repeated of tuition being "as affordable as possible" in both news articles about tuition, but it's even on some of their websites.

I wonder if the money isn't their main concern, neither...... until someone important (boosters/others/etc.) explains it to them.

Pretty sure Chad has worked with Ketch on the radio before, just not sure when or where

    104.9, many years ago.

It was an afternoon drivetime show, "Afternoons with Geoff & Chad", IIRC.

So now both of them have been fired by 104.9, as Geoff said today.

i guess i don't get the hate but I've been listening to him for two decades now. he's got his bits and he's stuck with them maybe too long but he's a solid radio host.

the horn's problem is guardrails. stay (mostly) on topic and the content takes care of itself. but they never have and i'm not sure why.

Guardrails was what always annoyed me about The Ticket 1310AM and The Fan KRLD-FM 105.3FM in Dallas (talking about anything but sports) -- they are even worse than The Horn was.

I’ll check it out for sure. BK making moves. An audio-only live feed would help.

There are free Android apps that will play youtube audio-only that bypass the youtube preroll ads and VOD ads, and yes, they even play *live* youtube feeds.

If you have an iPhone, you'd have to pay either way, either for yt-premium or pay for an app that does the same things.

For the ones here who apparently believe that watching streams found on aggregators like sportsurge is illegal... no, it's not illegal for you to watch them - it's illegal for the streamers to do what they do, and it's arguable whether sportsurge et al are breaking any laws linking to them.

Truly, it's aggravating to have the streams stumbling, lagging, getting shut down in mid-play. But, hey, mejor que nada, no?

How can such streams be illegal if the country that hosts the site doesn't have any Internet laws, or better yet, doesn't recognize/doesn't enforce USA copyright laws?

every bar I go to now, when I ask them to change the channel to the Longhorns game, it is very clear they are using a streaming service and not cable or satellite based on the interface I see. But, I live in California, so maybe we are just early adopters. If they are streaming, they have the Apple TV app.

    Oh, I forgot! Silly me!

Aren't the barstaff in sports bars all MENSA MIT graduate students working on 6 Ph.D.'s each?

What? They aren't?  Well, Tarnation!  (/Sarcasm)

Yeah able to get it still thru The Horn ApphornFM.com, also found it on myTuner radio app (search for The Horn) so I could run it thru Roku on a TV.

Obviously if you can get the signals, 1260am and 101.9 FM (basically Williamson County and far North Austin) are still available.

Radio signals aren't good in most of South Austin though.

They also have a live Twitch stream for the local shows if you search for "HornATX" on your Twitch smartphone app.

Not sure that that number has changed.

    WaPo article this morning:

    https://www.washingtonpost.com/sports/2023/07/31/college-football-greed-ambition/

So all of the realignment that's happened the last 40 or so years, all caused by Texas and Oklahoma going to the SEC.

    Too small.

All realignment, all wars, all suffering, etc., in THE HISTORY OF EARTH can solely be blamed on TEXAS!  (/Sarcasm!)   Lulz.

The Delusional Hatred is astonishingly real.

I have an 18, not a 22, and am trying to make it out to Tuscaloosa. It needs a new bottom grate. It works, but will drop some lump charcoal to the bottom. The meat grates are in good shape. I’ve done a brisket and a butt at the same time on it, but a 12# brisket is a tight fit

Yea I made the post in the context of responding to someone saying Cincy and UCF were not worth it. Those of us that witnessed Colorado being competitive in the BIG12 knew it was their ability to recruit Texas. Didn't they also do prop 48 like Nebraska before the BIG12?

If you ask Colorado fans on Twitter they all are thrilled with the prospect of getting more Texas recruits again, just like the first time around in The Dirty Dozen. Lulz.
