  1. Wow. That's a bad precedent to set.

Hit a guy in the head and he's forced out of the game?

That'll be abused to knock the best hitters out of games now.

Just hit them in the head and they're forced out by the concussion protocol "rule".

Unless, it's just used by umps against Texas starters.

I don't know how they turned two, but he's out.  I thought it was a stupid play not to go home.  Seemed no way they could get 2 on that ball.

Slow running to 1B makes that possible.

What's story on balloon broad in clemson??

    Also this:

"“That is how it used to be. That’s how it was twenty-one years ago. That’s how it was as an opposing coach here at Maryland in 2011. And that’s how it has been the last couple of home weekends,” Bakich said. “The fans have really shown out and come out in full sport. They get those balloons waving behind home plate, the music is playing, the marketing team is doing an awesome job engaging with the action on the field and the fans have gotten behind that.”"

From reading the clempson boards it was encouraged to do it by their coach, balloons were given out pre-game, and this broad and 2 people next to her are the only people doing it, in the most annoying place possible.

Still tied 3-3, tech batting in bottom of 7th

Funny how Sam is handling Tulane easily and doesn't get a second of airtime on squeeze-play, oh nevermind, they're in rain-delay Hell just like we are!   Lulz.

So it looks like all the sec teams won game 1 except for auburn, who “somehow” managed to grab a seed and host their regional. Shame.

    Don't worry!

When the backlash is applied to the SECSECSEC, they'll do it when Texas is in the SECSECSEC in order to once again apply it to Texas and only Texas.

The NCAA baseball regional selection committee will take a no-brainer regional host away from Texas in the future and then crow about how they tried to now ensure the SECSECSEC didn't host too many regional sites.

Is it really so important for some to put regional sites at little-league fields with no facilities just to "feel good"?

I hope that day never comes. FFS

  7. These beta douches announcing this aggy-titties game are annoying AND stupid.

Whoever the analysis-commentator is, he's butthurt his preferred teams missed the regionals, so he wants to chuck RPI into the toilet and only have conference champions host regionals, or some such nonsense, so that the little schools get to host.... or something, and has no idea how the regional host bidding process works and its requirements to host regionals.

In between that inanity and insanity, he goes on and on how socal and nocal are "two states" blah, blah, blah.....Who cares?

Can mouse-network not find a no-nonsense and no-cali-baggage baseball analysis-commentator in the whole state for these regional games?  /rant

I'm sure the Canes and their fan(s) wouldn't mind a 5-hour bus ride for a home series.

Isn't the NCAA rule that if the series can't be played, the #1 seed (miasmer) is pushed through?

So I wonder what would happen if this TS just completely fucked the whole week for this regional. Would they move it?

The Marlins' retractable roof park is not far away, and the domed Trop in Tampa is another choice.

Who cares what time they play if you put the games around the MLB teams, if they're even there this weekend?

Well of course, they won't be "driving on busses", they'll be riding on the busses.  Only one guy can drive.  Full disclosure, the busses may have stopped off at ABIA to board an aeroplane to take to the skies.

One of 'dem "flyin' machines"?  Well, tarnation!  Lulz.

(Picture of the "Cyclone" product tech from the Tigeraire site)

LSU football players getting "air-conditioned" (fans) helmets is neat technology, but putting what are probably larger and bigger Li-ion batteries (bigger than the radio batteries they use now) into a football helmet that isn't shock-proof to begin with and still isn't, sounds like there are going to be some catastrophic battery fires on player's heads.

And if you can sufficiently protect the batteries, why can't you protect heads the same way?

There are several advantages for CU by making the move.

    1. Geographic: A. Big complaint by Boulder business owners is that visiting teams from the PAC12 don't bring fans like the BIG12 did. Well duh, geographic isolation has consequences. B. Central time zone games get more viewers. This indisputable fact is why Larry Scott worked so hard on landing CTZ teams back in 2010. C. Playing games in recruiting hot beds matters.

    2. Stability: It's ironic that the conference that has lost six members in 12 years is the stable one, but that is where we are.

    3. More linear less streaming. Broadcast TV and Cable are still where the eyeballs are. It may be different in 6 years, but as of now the PACX current contract has more streaming than any other conference and if the new TV deal is headed by AppleZon then it will be even more streaming oriented.

    4. The PACX deal may come in at below the dollar threshold that CU can live with.

This guy claims a lot for not naming sources.

Kurt is such a dumb prick. Of course we're picking OU just like aggy is picking LSU as their "rival". We will always value OU over aggy as our main rival. Always.

    Behind a paywall.

Please post the content, too, if it's enlightening.

They have the "teaser paywall" (for lack of a better reference) -- if you stop the page loading and time it right, the paywall doesn't engage when you start scrolling down because that part didn't load.

The other way to do it is to do a quick CTRL-A (Select All), then CTRL-C (Copy) and then paste the whole article into MS Word or wherever. (For Macs, that's Command-A, then Command-C, and then paste).
