Texas Recruiting Notes 2026: Boulevard of Broken Bagmen
They're "asked?" What does that mean? "Hello dear recruit. We notice that you have been taking our 20k per month for the last four months as a commitment to our fine educational establishment but that now you are going on recruiting visits to other universities. Would you consider repaying the 80 thousand dollars we sent to you? Thank you for your kind attention to this matter. Signed, Oregon Ducks."

ICE activity/raids
Holy fuck what a clusterfuck. McALLEN, Texas (AP) — The Trump administration has continued releasing people charged with being in the country illegally to nongovernmental shelters along the U.S.-Mexico border after telling those organizations that providing migrants with temporary housing and other aid may violate a law used to prosecute smugglers. Border shelters, which have long provided lodging, meals and transportation to the nearest bus station or airport, were rattled by a letter from the Federal Emergency Management Agency that raised “significant concerns” about potentially illegal activity and demanded detailed information in a wide-ranging investigation. FEMA suggested shelters may have committed felony offenses against bringing people across the border illegally or transporting them within the United States. “It was pretty scary. I’m not going to lie,” said Rebecca Solloa, executive director of Catholic Charities Diocese of Laredo. U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement continued to ask shelters in Texas and Arizona to house people even after the March 11 letter, putting them in the awkward position of doing something that FEMA appeared to say might be illegal. Both agencies are part of the Department of Homeland Security. https://apnews.com/article/border-shelters-laredo-phoenix-trump-releases-afc2f4d2ca786161e7bb4b03f54033fa

I think she's having a mental health episode. She tweeted about this man dozens of times today. "This naked silhouette is my naked body. I know I should have warned you first, but I was checking my bathroom for trans athletes."- Texas Recruiting Notes 2026: Boulevard of Broken Bagmen
Just read a very, VERY positive report regarding the early returns and reviews of Coach LaAllan Clark. He's apparently really impressing a lot of top recruits. He appears to be a home run hire by Sark.- Trump’s America

Texags received 1.1 million dollars from the 12th man foundation. No wonder Billy reports everything is sunshine and roses in the Aggie sports departments. It seems to me that @immamac is overlooking a potential revenue source. "The 12th Man Foundation, Texas A&M’s athletic fundraising arm, saw its annual revenue drop by more than $25 million from fiscal year 2023 to 2024—just as it assumed the hefty financial burden of helping cover former Aggies football coach Jimbo Fisher’s massive buyout. According to a copy of the organization’s latest tax return, obtained by Sportico, the 12th Man Foundation reported bringing in $95.7 million in FY24, set off against $116 million in expenditures. It brought in $121 million in total revenue for FY23, according to its previous IRS filings. The latest returns show the foundation’s overall reported shortfall owed primarily to a decrease in contributions and grants, which went from $113 million in FY23 to $85 million in FY24. During that same span, Texas A&M’s athletic department expenditures jumped nearly $50 million, according to the school’s NCAA financial disclosures, from $194.6 million in FY23 to $243.8 million in FY24—the fourth-highest increase among FBS public universities. A 12th Man Foundation spokesperson did not respond to an email inquiry. In addition to supplementing the Aggies’ athletics department with tens of millions of dollars to fund scholarships, programs and facilities, the 12th Man is also partially on the hook for paying former football coach Fisher’s record-setting, $77 million buyout after he was fired in November 2023 with eight years left on his deal. Through the fiscal year 2024, Fisher was due $26.7 million of the liquidated damages. Texas A&M athletic director Ross Bjork previously said that the 12th Man Foundation would apply unrestricted funds to cover the initial $19.4 million Fisher was due within 60 days of his firing. That payout is not individually identified on the return. The 12th Man Foundation ended the past fiscal year with $216 million in net assets or fund balances, according to its tax return, down from $231.3 million at the start of the cycle. The organization’s president and CEO, Travis Dabney, earned a total compensation package of $552,610, as the 12th Man saw its overall salaries jump nearly 13% to $7.37 million. Leading the list of 13 independent contractors paid six figures or more was Maroon & White LP—the parent company of the online fan forum TexAgs.com—which received $1.1 million for “external marketing services.” The law firm Norton Rose Fulbright followed with $674,444.- Trump’s America

I miss the good old days when Trump was accusing Qatar of state sponsored terrorism at the highest levels. Donald Trump has accused Qatar of sponsoring terrorism at the highest levels, in an extraordinary escalation of the diplomatic row with one America’s most important military partners in the Middle East. Speaking in the White House rose garden on Friday, Trump said he had decided “the time had come to call on Qatar to end its funding … and its extremist ideology.” His comments marked his most forthright intervention in a crisis triggered on Monday when Saudi Arabia and its Gulf allies launched a co-ordinated diplomatic and economic campaign to isolate Qatar. https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2017/jun/09/trump-qatar-sponsor-terrorism-middle-east- Texas Recruiting Notes 2027: I remember watching his dad play
