  1. exactly this. you either stand with racists, or against them. there is no middle ground on this. if someone votes for, supports, apologizes for, deflects or yeah but's on behalf of Trump, or supports or votes for any other Republican officeholder or candidate at this juncture, well, they are on the wrong side of this one. period. sorry if that includes some of y'alls friends and family members and is uncomfortable, but there is no way around it.
  2. didnt grendel move and become the mayor of Taos NM or something like that?
  3. I’m ready. Someone start a 2019 thread? I’m also looking to join onto one new league this year, PM me if you have an opening.
  4. Republicans are actively inviting and encouraging foreign interference in the election and aren’t even trying to hide the fact that they will be fixing the vote. Turnout won’t matter.
  5. those are the same people. trumpkins/“the base” are not a distinguishable group from Republicans.
  6. lulz at Republicans pathetically trying to claim trump isn't a racist POS at this juncture - "but but but ...." the only thing more cringeworthy is @Johnny Sack telling us how he can't be a racist because he helped pay for an orphanage in Haiti, pays more taxes than you do, and therefore, the democrats are the real racists here, especially with their correctly identifying and calling out obvious racists and racist apologists for what they are and all that
  7. We must never forget TTom and the other victims of the widespread race riots that Obama was personally responsible for causing.
  8. Another part of me knows he's going to outright steal the election. me too. the 100% part.
  9. "does it make 'the other side'* angry? yes? good enough for me, then." -all Trump supporters and apologists *non-traitors
  10. this sounds great and all, but the problem with this proposition is that Republicans have made it absolutely, crystal clear that there is no one in their party who is amenable to being "worked with," on anything. it's a non-starter.
  11. Anyone in either party who is not advocating for Trump to be immediately removed from office is part of the problem.
  12. "That person did not say she hated people with black skin, she could have been referring to people who wear black clothes, or drive black cars." -Texashammer
  13. sure, because that is exactly what is going to happen. and no one will do a goddamn thing about it. other than worrisome commentary, furrowed brows, and public handwringing and tsk-tsk’ing. people who think that we are going to vote this guy out of office and that he’ll hand over the reigns appear naive at best and delusional at worst, IMO. i hope i’m wrong on this but i’d bet heavily that he’s still sitting right where he is now - illegitimately - in late 2021. shit, he’s there illegitimately now - plus he’s a proven felon, compulsive liar, serial sexual predator, and traitor, and no one has done a single meaningful thing about it.
  14. that should have happened a long time ago. an illegitimate election with Trump staying on isn’t going to be the thing that makes that finally happen. i’d put the chances of either Trump winning via suppression, foreign interference and other election rigging and cheating, or him losing and staying on anyway, at 90%+. either way, no one will do anything about it.
  15. he will declare the loss “fake” and the election “rigged,” and will stay in power illegitimately, with the support of 100% of Republicans. and nothing will happen.
  16. that sounds delicious. but ultimately, i think no matter what kind, or how many fancy kinds of cheeses you use to compose your grilled cheese, you really need at least one slice of American (I like white better than yellow but both work) or other chez - the kind with a z - like the stuff that has a label that says "cheese flavored food product" - strictly for the high goo/melty factor that cheddar and other real cheeses lack.
  17. are you ... sure about that? that doesn't sound right, at all.
  18. I suppose if you include hatred of anyone else not like them in the second or fourth categories, or maybe some of both, this is about right. Of course, anyone self identifying as, voting for, or supporting Republicans - at this juncture - is a huge POS, and these are simply the reasons why. The reasons do not change the bottom line conclusion. I would not have agreed with the foregoing 10 years ago at all, or even 5. But today it’s absolutely true. They all have the same information available to them, and the same ability to reject hatred, racism, corruption, gross incompetence, and the destruction of democracy and American values and institutions that the rest of us do, and they willingly choose not to. Where and why they fit into those four categories isn’t really that important to me, as no one who openly embraces the GOP (and/or would consider voting for or supporting Trump right now) - and those are the same thing - at this point needs to be completely written off IMO.
  19. yeah, its not pastrami, rather the shaved roast beef. i did get a couple bites of the classic Chicago dog too and that was great and definitely authentic.
  20. i stopped in at the Chi Town trailer a couple weeks ago on the way home from the lake and had the Italian beed (dipped, sweet and hot). it was tasty. i'm not an expert on legit Chicago Italian beef sandwiches so can't speak to authenticity, but i thought it was pretty damn good.
