  1. Feels like I’ve heard this before. Like, several dozens of times.
  2. Who cares? It makes liberals mad. It’s great. /Slorch
  3. Diametrically opposed.
  4. haha, i would love to see that. that sounds genius. i love T22 but do have to admit that really the sides could use a lot of work and the trailer is the only one of the two worth going to. but judging just on the bird, it is amazing.

    Burgers

anyone been to nau's lately? i used to live on the street behind it many years ago and remember having a lot of good, greasy, old school flat top griddle burgers there. so i went for a shot of nostalgia around the holidays, and wow. waited over an hour for burgers (they ended up comping the whole thing it took so long) and they were like something your drunk uncle would make in the backyard - dry, completely charred, cold slice of cheese thrown on, wrong condiments. i understand they had to completely close down the soda fountain for a while shortly thereafter. and i'm quite sure that's the only part of that place that makes any money. maybe they took some time to get their shit together. or maybe it will be condos by this time next year.
  6. It’s too late for that. Those ships all sailed a long time ago.
  7. Indeed. Trump has given Republicans - the leaders and the voters - permission to openly and publicly be the utter shitbags that they’ve always been but have done a good job of disguising for the past few decades.
  8. SIAP but he's also in the new Nicole Kidman movie Destroyer (which is awful, BTW).
  9. glad you like it - it really is one of my go-to recipes and probably the dish i am asked to make by other folks the most. your pics are not showing BTW (for me anyway). mushrooms are definitely my add on, never seen that as part of the dish in any restaurant and would not be traditional, at all. if i recall correctly, the recipe was printed in the Statesman food section, this was probably 10-12 plus years ago. around the same time, i was introduced to the chef (and i think owner at the time, or part owner) by a colleague while at the restaurant and got to talk to her about the recipe and the process. i've been making it ever since.
  10. he does, behind closed doors with Republicans, who all nod in agreement and chuckle.
  11. ha, i saw a recipe for that last week and thought about trying it this weekend but i had just done a pot roast and wanted something besides beef. how was it? what recipe did you use?
  12. Cheetos makes a white cheddar version but it’s only available in the puffs (that I’ve seen anyway). If they’d make them in the regular, non-puff version, those would immediately be crowned the king of all time.
  13. I haven’t read the whole thread, but ... What crime would I be committing, or what civil liability would I be exposed to, if I were to get a big ass U-Haul and round up a shit load of these scoters and dump them in an open field in Lockhart (assuming the property opener didn’t know/care)? Or say, the dump? They leave them out to be used amd left somewhere else, so it’s not theft, I don’t think. I’m not withholding possession of them so it’s not conversion, I don’t think either. Tortious interference maybe?
  14. And paying off trashy porn stars. And he managed to fuck that up too.
  15. i wish i could rep this 50 times
  16. i'm going to give it a shot for Sunday dinner this weekend, and i think that's how i'll do it - whisk in some paste instead of the raw anchovies on the top. or maybe, both
  17. Well, yes. He “repositioned” those multiple abject failures and fraudulent scams into what? Oh yeah...getting elected President of the United States. This utter failure will also be repositioned into a victory in the eyes of tens of millions of Americans. Roughly half of the voting public, actually. Sit back and watch.
  18. “The majority” being 100%
  19. 48 million voters believe this to be true.
  20. Very, very quickly this will be successfully spun as Trump being the hero who saved the day by re-opening the government after the shutdown which was completely caused by the Democrats - and NOW look how terrible the Dems are, they promised they’d give him the all the wall money if he re-opened the government, and now they won’t, those liars! And Republicans will buy it hook, line and sinker.
  21. Well, literally everyone except for the tens of millions of shitbags who will continue to support him and vote Republican. Otherwise, yeah.
  22. humiliating defeat over moronic fake problem to own the libs
  23. Or unless/until it hurts other people. Rs love that shit. Also part of what makes them Republican.
