i told my wife the blonde was gonna grab a knife off the table and kill Whitfield, but alas.
i assume Spencer meant that if Whitfield hadn't tried to take over the ranch, forcing Spencer to come back and fight for it, then he and Alex wouldn't have had to brave the elements to get back there and, instead, would have been living somewhere overseas in a warmer climate.
overall, i thought the finale was very satisfying. sucked that Banner got got, but like Jacob said, he was a man of his word.
that final scene at the ranch when Spencer showed up had elements of the Battle of the Bastards when the Vale showed up to rescue Jon Snow and crew, and then a bit of Rogue One when Darth Vader just wrecked shop on the Rebel command ship. Spencer just walked in the house and took care of bidness.
the finale definitely confirmed (as previously reported) that there ain't gonna be a season 3. so it's on to 1944.
