  1. My wife and I were on a plane to Vegas Monday, and right next to my wife was Ross Bjork (A&M AD.) During our delay to takeoff, he was texting back and forth with Jimbo whilst looking at Clemson’s coaches and Googling articles about them. After departure, for almost half the flight (1.5 hours) he was looking through those articles. The other part of the flight he was just looking at 2 million dollar homes. My wife is a huge snoop. I don’t pretend to be an insider, just passing along what we saw. If Aggie does lose a coach or two, they could be looking at the Clemson coaching tree.
  2. NOOOOOOOOOOOOO...I've played for Mainord and that is definitely not what you want. That experiment won't last long
  3. Does anyone have the article from Chip Brown on the facility upgrades and David Beaty
  4. Maybe its from watching a year investigation into Russian meddling, but after seeing this investigation into Ohio State, I feel like not enough was done. How do you cap an investigation at two weeks? Do you know you’ll have all information in that time frame or is that when you want to be done so that the school could start preparations for its first game with hopefully their head coach? Shouldn’t this investigation have tentacles? From looking into Russian meddling for so long to branching off into campaign violations, tax fraud or paying strippers; how do they not find any kind of illegal actions done in the 10,000 texts Urban had (which were all that was left after he immediately deleted the texts older than one year, once the McMurphy article came out.) Not saying hes the only one because every school and coach do it, but if the investigation was done by anyone other than 3 independents and 3 trustees of Ohio State, the results are different. That being said this could selfishly be the best possible outcome for Texas. The school dropped the ball and parents could actually care about these matters; and instead of hiring another up-and-coming coach to come in with an already loaded roster (Chris Petersen) they’re left with a coach who has tried to diminish the severity of multiple crimes over the years, to win games. A 3 week suspension (actually only not available for the games; so 3 Saturdays) is a joke!
  5. Because it's easier to move a high school tackle to a college guard, rather than a high school guard to a college tackle. You don't find many 6'5" guards in high school
  6. Alabama has got the right idea when it comes to stadium expansion. They currently have an enclosed stadium with 100,000 + and are downsizing and reducing capacity by more than 4,000 to add more suites and other amenities. Hopefully CDC sees this and realizes that our stadium can be enclosed, doesn't have to have three sides all looking different and can still keep capacity at around 100,000. And like del Muerto said, once you take away the end sections to enclose the stadium, that would take away a couple thousand at least before adding the entire set of stands
  7. So only two sides of the stadium will be similar? There were so many ways to go about this, and I feel like they dropped the ball. The floor suites are a terrible idea; media and cameramen are gonna get in the way. If you decide to glass that in, make that the weight room looking out onto the field. The endzone needs to be attached. And who gives a shit about seeing the Austin skyline? Wouldn't you want everyone focused on the game anyway? It's hard enough to get people loud but to now attribute with an over the top fancy endzone that gives you a view of something else other than the field and the play goin on? RIDICULOUS! Need to get rid of that longhorn in the middle of the stands. It needs to be equal to the other endzone and maybe figure out a different way to only add a couple thousand more seats. Turn some levels into more suites maybe? Let the band play at halftime then a couple songs from whichever singer/rapper/performer is popular at the time to keep asses in the seats even at halftime. Feel like that would also attribute to more people in general attending. Where in the picture are the coaches offices looking out of? Feel like an awning around the tops would also help the experience and keeping the sound in.
  8. On the OU side, TFB said that they are in the running with Wilson and it seems like before he would consider Texas. Hopefully Mehringer gets fired, and Wilson isn't an early enrollee
  9. Are there any posts about updates on our facility upgrades?
