  1. That's just two ways of saying the same thing. Wanting someone "loyal" means wanting someone who will follow orders and not challenge the status quo. It's the same terminology trump uses to describe the complicit sycophants he keeps around him and Jerry is the same way. The meeting with McCarthy were to judge just how "loyal" he's willing to be. There were far better coaches with far higher ceilings out there BUT not available to Jerry. The dysfunction has gone on long enough and publicly enough that no one with options is signing up for it. Knowing that I felt this was the best possible hire in the same way a broken down 2001 Corolla is probably the best car for someone with only $300 in their pocket. Until Jerry is gone and if then the kids prove themselves to not be as toxic to winning this thing will never again attract a legit HC.
  2. I'm fun no matter where I am. I'm no genius, but I was blessed with the ability to get a first-hand look at pure dysfunction over a 25 year period and be able to deduce who the common denominator is and know that as long as that doesn't change nothing is going to change.
  3. I don't know why cowboys fans are disappointed. No coach with a current HC job in college or the NFL we're going to ever agree to be a Jones puppet. No big time prospect coordinator like a Roman or Bieniemy with options coming up for HC jobs would choose to be a Jones puppet. Like I said before this was going to be someone who was previously a head coach and is now a retread who is desperate enough to agree to be a puppet and/or work in an organizational culture that is this toxic. The only choices were people like McCarthy, Marvin Lewis, Norv Turner, Jeff Fisher, Hugh Jackson, Jim Caldwell, etc. Out of that list McCarthy was the only one with any winning credentials. He just became desperate because no one wanted him after his public rift with Rodgers and after a complete rookie HC just walked in and coached up/schemed the same team McCarthy underachieved with to a first round bye in the playoffs. Will he win in Dallas? No. No one can. It's a well poisoned by inbred arky idiocy and a roster that hit it's peak in talent this season and now will become ravished by bad contracts and poor drafting. People locally like to ride McClay's nuts but outside of that great 2016 draft they've been terrible. 2017-2019 drafts were poor and the roster is about to take a major dip in talent.
  4. This is some fucked up shit. Iran is definitely going to retaliate because they have us right where they want us. The idiot US president just assassinated on of their top guys and publicly took responsibility for it so that just further alienates the now former US allies. Britain doesn't want any part of this shit. In 2013 when Syria was going nuts in civil war and Obama wanted to take military action he backed off of it because our allies decided not to take part and we'd be going it alone. The British parliament met for hours and actually said the 2003 GWB regime lies they all believed poisoned the well and killed our credibility. This 3 years of trump shit has just fractured those relationships all the more so now we're militarily isolated. No one is going to pay any attention to our sanctions anymore. Iran can now sucker punch us repeatedly and try to get us into the trap of a solitary US war with them while Russia and China flood them with support. They're rope-a-doping us. Getting us to expend every resource just to keep up and weakening/isolating ourselves in the process. What's been the age cutoff for the draft in the past? There's zero chance I join in to fight this bullshit war if they institute that shit again. I've seen 20 years of Republican stupidity and warmongering and I'm not dying for it.
  5. 50 gb internet from Frontier for $46.75 a month. Two internet protocol services with 3 different simultaneous IP connections one at $5 the other at $14 a month. VPN at $2.50 a month. Full Kodi build out with multiple apks for free. That's $68.25 out the door final price for access to every single thing you could ever watch. Every sporting event. Every PPV. Every movie channel on two continents plus on demand access to nearly every movie and TV series made. You don't know what you're missing
  6. Would never live in a small town in Texas (unless South Padre Island course). Unless you consider where I live now in the outskirts of Melissa to be a small town even though I'm a 15 minute drive down 75 from Dallas. Feels like a small town but one that I can easily have every big city amenity open to me in a matter of minutes. If had to live in a small town somewhere around Colorado City would be preferable.
  7. What about sign Garrett and hire Marvin Lewis to DC.
  8. Derek Henry is pure beast. Just think if cowboys had done the smart thing that we clamored for they'd have a legit top 4 pick player on either offense or defense plus Henry and we WOULDN'T have to deal with lazy ass piece of shit Zeke and the annoying underachieving bullshit of Jaylon Smith.
  9. This is a great fourth quarter. I have to admit I'm cheering for The Squirrel
  10. Hiring McCarthy doesn't fuck over Oklahoma so no, don't hire McCarthy. Only make hires that fuck over Oklahoma. Nothing else matters as even lucking into a SB run Eli style is impossible for an organization as poorly run as the cowboys where the owner pretends to be a GM then constantly cuts his coaches off at the knees and allows players to disrespect the coach with zero accountability.
  11. That goes 100 percent against every law of economics but if it is true then why all those years of conservatives raging against spending? Why even have any conservatives at all if the US government and currency are so far above to the level of God like that they can print however much they want with zero repercussions? If that's the case then why wouldn't every politician want nationalized health care, unlimited national jobs creation, and everything else fully funded by the government that is "too big to fail"? This sounds like republican bullshit excuses for their lack of conservatism over the last 40 years, and if they really believe this then they should be on board with Bernie Sanders 100 percent.
  12. But isn't that the same thing? The federal government is indirectly purchasing it's own issued treasuries back. Is the motivation to do so to artificially prop up its own treasuries and fund itself while trying to keep inflation in check? I'm trying to figure out how this benefits the fed more than just printing money to fund itself without going through the whole work around.
  13. Have to admit I'm not sure how this is working. Is it saying the fed is indirectly purchasing its own issued securities? I'm unclear on how that method would serve to perpetuate this artificial boosting of the markets. Or is it only to make it appear the treasury securities are still a top notch investment and not allow the bottom to fall out? My understanding is limited in this area.
  14. Garrett isn't under contract anymore. I know it technically ends in 11 days but in reality that doesn't stop him from agreeing to another job now. Without a new contract Garrett should have been out interviewing for other jobs right away starting Monday. The fact he's hanging around the cowboys compound acting like a bitch tells me he doesn't believe anyone will hire him. The fact Jerry just keeps fucking around for a solid week plus of this tells me every big name Jerry tries to get is telling him to fuck off. This will be either a lesser regarded college coach or a desperate NFL assistant/retread that agrees to take this shit job working as a known puppet to a moron.
  15. Vince said "we'll be back" and not only were we back but we won the fucking title. Sam said "we're back" then we lost 5 games. Sequels suck.
  16. I take everything I said back. The city deserves getting made fun of by a bunch of Canadians if they're going to be singing like a bunch of hillbillies to a garbage song by a trash ass okie.
  17. The most Jerry way to do this is to have a reality show to find the new coach. Resurrect the 4th and Long model. "This March get ready for the hottest new reality show in years. 20 of the best high school and college coaches from around the country will compete to see who will become the next puppet head coach of the Dallas Cowboys. When the pressure is on, and the chips are down, find out who be making the call when it's... "4th and 1!" Hosted by Michael Irvin.
  18. After what happened in 2004 Vince got that team so worked up they didn't take any opponent lightly in 2005. Aggy on the road was about the worst game they play and still won going away. After escaping their toughest game early they destroyed a top 10 tech along with KU, OU, and Colorado (twice). If Sam has it in him to get this team so riled up they can take down LSU on the road similarly in game 2 then just go all out against everyone else then I'd be surprised.
  19. I could see every NFL assistant or coach with experience except a fully desperate retread failure (like Wade) telling Jerry "no thanks". Welcome new coach Norv Turner.
  20. Glad you enjoyed it. Equally glad I didn't go. After NYE that wasn't a morning I wanted to deal with even worse crowds than Texas oU
  21. It's garbage. You want to do all that shit? Stick an ice rink in the middle of the stockyards and play it in Ft Worth. Or Abilene. There's literally nothing country about Dallas at all anymore. Texas is the only place I can think of that actively promotes the insulting negative stereotypes about itself or allows outsiders to do so. You think Californians are having every event with surf boards and dipshit surfer dudes everywhere and everyone saying "hang 10 dude!"? Of course not. It's stupid.
  22. Get rid of that stupid rule. These are warriors. Warriors take hits to the head. Warriors die young. It is the way.
