  1. Fuck didn't hear about that. How long since he out
  2. Well that needs to change. "The way things are" has created an environment of robust and rampant police corruption which has led to mistrust and hostility towards police officers. They complain that their job is dangerous and hard but decades after decades of their own rampant widespread corruption has made it that way. Status quo needs to be thrown out completely and widespread reform undertaken. Part of that needs to be improved community relations and outreach and part of that needs to be improved regulations on their own actions and training/habits. Otherwise we can just keep going down this road and nothing but increased hostility, corruption, and unnecessary violence will occur.
  3. No change is immediate, but over time it would happen. When they are trained that when you are off duty you leave your uniform and firearm behind and when not in uniform you are a regular citizen with zero police powers and will be judged/punished as a regular citizen then over time it will take hold. If they started adjusting to that now then with time every new recruit that went to academy after the change will just regard it as normal. America has allowed and encouraged the cultivation of an entire police force of Inspector Lugers. What we need is to transition the culture to more Barney Millers.
  4. She made the decision to go in all Rambo guns drawn for the sole purpose to mowing down another human. She wasn't caught by surprise. She was alerted at the door before she ever walked in and in that moment was able to differentiate between call for backup and proceed with restrained caution or go on a murderous rampage.
  5. bring substance not attacks. The police have operated with prejudiced impunity for far too long and have earned no benefit of the doubt. If they're going to act like racist idiots they need to be treated like racist idiots.
  6. Maybe remind them that once off shift they're regular citizens in regular citizens clothes and shouldn't be trying to go all robo cop on the first non whites they see? I believe they should be forced to leave their uniforms and firearms at the station and never take them home or wear while off duty.
  7. What makes you think that's she's unlikely to reoffend? Because she's white? She's a cold blooded killer who made the conscious decision to rush into a dangerous situation for the sole reason of "being able" to murder another human. She's a major danger to society and the thug shouldn't be on the streets.
  8. How has Perry looked? Has Sekera cracked the top 4 D heading in? If the goaltending doesn't regress much and the defense/shooting improve I can see myself watching some contending hockey in late June/July.
  9. Not really. I still say play calling was the biggest culprit. NO has one of the biggest and baddest mofo DL in the game. Maybe the best against the run. And these fucks (Garrett) thought they'd go in and push them around in their own house and win one on one physical battled on the inside in the run game. Just sheer stupidity. If Garrett is going to take over and do this shit and not let Moore scheme and run his stuff then it's over for this team once the playoffs start. Garrett will do something stupid like this believing his guys should be able to boss everyone man on man and they'll get shut down again.
  10. Take off the Diablo sauce/ranch slaw/blue cheese/honey and add chorizo/pico de gallo/tomatillo sauce and you have something.
  11. It seems high sugar diets combined with overeating are what cause the issues. I think the whole "eat many small meals a day" thing is bullshit too. It runs completely counter to how human bodies evolved over the millenia. If our ancestors' biology required many feedings over the course of a day we wouldn't be here as humans would have gone extinct long ago when food was scarce and the body had to be able to survive on infrequent feedings. Probably the best is to try hard to limit sugars and otherwise eat a large variety of things in small quantities so as to avoid too much food weighing down the body at any given time. Variety in diet and portion control combined with consistent physical activity
  12. It goes to show how arrogant they are because their whole lives they've gotten away with whatever crimes they've committed and fully believe rich white men in American politics never get really punished. Honestly, what even remotely recent evidence is there to say they're wrong to believe it? If the Dems take control after 2020 they can't be Gerald Ford's about this. This is a tipping point where America will either at least try to get back to being a representative democracy or will just say fuck it and embrace full plutocracy. The new president needs to set up a DOJ that is willing to prosecute everyone from the trumps/pence to pompeo to barr and anyone else implicated in this cover up. If not we accept it's full Brisket time.
  13. Does anyone know how these super secret servers the transcripts are on works? Can the house get access to them? If the info is removed and destroyed would there be a paper trail? The American system is way too convoluted. Everything should be taped and open for review by the courts/congress. Every politician's communication with everyone.
  14. Any of you goofy bastards watch the preseason and keep up with it? I have no idea what's been happening but I'm all in starting game 1. Anybody who knows care to give a full detailed synopsis of how the team looks heading into this?
  15. and I'm saying under no circumstances should universities ever pay the players because of the financial/tax issues. dude, you were wrong and you were a cunt so just fucking apologize and be done with it
  16. He wasn't against paying players, I heard him on bad radio say directly players should be paid by the university an amount that gets put in a collection or trust and once they graduate they get a lump sum. That's not as bad as Bilas' complete free market proposal but it's still going to open up a lot of financial issues that none of these people address.
  17. https://www.google.com/amp/s/theundefeated.com/features/college-football-championship-pay-that-man-four-proposals-for-compensating-college-athletes/amp/ A little down under the heading "open the free market". Bilas has advocated the universities having a free market system where they can pay the players directly any amount they choose. I'm not introducing a red herring, this is a legitimate proposal that has many advocates in the college sports world, but they never confront the financial downsides and how to handle them. I didn't just make this shit up.
  18. Here from 12 hours ago. Made it easy for you. I wasn't saying California or this case is saying the universities should pay players. I was outlining why taking it a step further and having the universities pay players the way people like Jay Bilas and Kenny Smith advocate would be a terrible idea.
  19. Go back and read my original post from today. I said I'm all for what California is doing As far as letting them profit from their image and likeness. Then I said I AM AGAINST UNIVERSITIES PAYING THE PLAYERS DIRECTLY for the reasons I stated above.
  20. Yeah. I can't see any way they can get out of having to pay taxes for each individual game since their pay is based on games. Once the university starts cutting them checks they're going to be classified the same as professional athletes as far as earnings go. There's already precedent with professional athletes who pay taxes based on the venue of games/competitions. So not only does that open up a whole multitude of tax implications that the vast majority of 18 year olds aren't going to be disciplined enough to handle, but it'll also open up to things like collective bargaining, arbitration, strikes and lockouts, etc. that's a whole big pile of Pandora's bullshit that need to stay in the box and can easily be rectified by just allowing them to sign with an agent and take endorsements. That way you don't have to worry about who makes what as the people who are the stars and responsible for the excitement will be the ones who can make the most money.
  21. There's a massive massive massive difference between a simple 1040EZ one w2 job that anybody can do taxes on and having to pay federal and state taxes in each state you play a game for each states' own tax code with no withholdings. You need a dedicated tax CPA to do that due to the complexity and what are the odds these kids don't screw that up royally?
  22. I used the 90s and school referring to high school because there are not many QBs left in the NFL who graduated high school in the 90s. In fact I believe there's only two. Every other quarterback played college ball some time in the new millenia so using graduating from college in the 2000s would have been ridiculously fucking stupid and wouldn't have conveyed my intended point of saying he's really fucking old so the saints spent a ton on a backup.
  23. Yes, with tribal politics taking over the republican party everyone is already on a side. No one will change sides from this point forward. If you've rode this far with the republican criminal syndicate you aren't backing off no matter what other criminal acts they commit. If you're repulsed by republican criminality you aren't voting for them no matter what the democrats do. It's all about getting every single American possible who is disgusted by the criminal in charge to turn out and vote.
  24. I went back and watched several offensive snaps and I'm close to being convinced this was a Garrett takeover on play calling. It was almost 100 percent complete reversion to the previous stale offense. No or little motion. Virtually no play action. A ton of first down runs right into the teeth of the defense. A lot of predicably easy to cover come back and stop routes. None of the pick routes and motion we saw from the first 3 games. I previously thought Moore was going to turtle a bit because it's his first big road game and big environment but I think now I was wrong and it was most likely a Garrett take over. None of that showed any of what Moore has been about, and after the success of the first three weeks why would he change it now to exactly the stale garbage as before by himself? This was Garrett thinking they have Zeke back there and have to grind it out. Garrett is the virus that keeps the team from reaching their potential any time he interferes with the actual game day coaching of the team.
