  1. Doc is the best there is. I say this every single year -I love everything about the Stanley Cup playoffs but I especially love Doc’s call. Can’t think of another broadcaster that is this good at calling his sport.
  2. This is what they have done all year. It’s so awful but at the same time so appropriate. #Vegas
  3. Man. Meyer is either scared as fuck of TH or just is using him as a proxy for scouting. Or perhaps both.
  4. I like Zach. Nextdoor needs more surly.
  5. Note SF had a screen pass called, which is technically a great counter. Didn’t matter, A double A exposes inside mediocrity.
  6. If they put him in, that kid is going to be on Roller skates and they are going to Double A blitz him to death. It will look like this. Over and over and over
  7. Who are you and what have you done with skipperj
  8. If he was then it will be even worse. Learning to recognize a defensive front and adjust to shifts and then make the proper protection calls at the college level requires a very bright player. It’s not something that is easy to just pick up during fall training.
  9. Thier shirts are shit quality. Bought several about 5 years ago and within a few months I had rips at the elbows. I get my shirts from Proper Cloth and Hamilton.
  10. Good eye. Thought it was just a weird camera angle while watching. Turns out perhaps not. https://m.huffpost.com/us/entry/us_5b078547e4b0568a8809b87a
  11. Maybe we should get that person with this person who wants to “take pictures of dogs”
  12. Which of the 9.95ers is the most reliable?
  13. I cheering for the Caps because a flat out ass like Ryan Reeves should never have his name on the cup. (Yes I am aware there are plenty of goons on the cup, but fuck Ryan Reeves).
  14. Seriously. This is another “hey guys we are sec too” aggy event. The rest of them have to think this is a joke right?
  15. Good idea for a thread. I can tell you that my recently retired FIL and my semi-retired mother don’t dig being retired all that much. My in-laws have started drinking a lot because I don’t think they have much else to do during the day. A loss of purpose if you will. My mother is driving us crazy with all the fees to “help”.
  16. It was 90 days actually. I believe the first one was in mid June however. Not a good sign for this summer. https://www.statesman.com/news/local/2011-was-austin-hottest-year-record/R07lnW9a9SfQuxRECy1p7K/
  17. In for the 100 days of 100 degrees. Let’s break some records bitches!
  18. Perhaps if you lived in a small town. All that shit was dated in 1988. By then we were talking Gotcha and Maui&Sons. Z Cavs, acid Wash, Zodiac shoes and the like.
  19. Ha. Lodge at Lakeview. I was a bartender and waiter there. Good chicken fried steak and nightly specials. Great $$ for a server for mid 90s Austin. Usually could count on $100-150/night Th-Sun and I was out of there by 10.
  20. Great story about who is Fletcher Chace and why Brenden Frasier chose to play him the way he did. https://www.vanityfair.com/hollywood/2018/04/trust-fx-brendan-fraser In the article they mentioned that Brender Frasier could start exploring oddball/interesting supporting characters like Michael Shannon does. Interesting point because at times while watching his portrayal in this series, I had to occasionally remind myself it wasn’t Michael Shannon. Frasier may have carved himself out a nice little niche for the future. Good for him. I thought he was excellent in this series.
  21. Up though ep7 now. What a great series. The “click click” helicopter arrival was awesome.
