  1. My main problem with the estimate is there was no explanation of what it why it needed anything. Just an “Accept” or “Decline” option. They sent the watch back and a document inside noted their analysis and what they thought needed to be done to the watch. They said the crown and pushers were dented (if they are it’s not very noticeable). I’m mostly frustrated but the poor communication and/explanation. Oh, and I had to call twice to get them to remind them to send the estimate after they told me it was available.
  2. 280 kls? Does she mean kgs? If so that’s over 600lbs; high bar right there.
  3. My El Primero slipped from my hand when I was putting it on and I cracked the crystal. Zenith wants $1,600 to replace the crystal (they say it needs a full service in addition to the $600 charge for the crystal). I call bullshit.
  4. Just heard the palms has removed all 6/5 BJ tables and we,, have one $5 BJ table and one $5 craps table 24 hours a day.
  5. March 2026?

  7. Never mind, I didn't see the message. I lost, again.
  8. How are we looking on numbers?
  9. That menu is almost tempting enough to make me drive all the way out there.
  10. I'm not sure that's my first choice in spending $1,800 (or $450 if splitting).
  11. Am I reading this right? $1,000 for the table and then another $800 in food and bev on top?
  12. Has anyone heard of the Francois Audouze wine dinners? He hosts a number of dinners throughout the year (12 in 2024) and opens up his 40,000 bottle cellar. They are usually in Paris and are not cheap (~$2,300 - $6,800), but would be a bucket list experience for me. Here is a sample of some of the wines he's served. http://www.wine-dinners.com/en/ (this website could use an upgrade) Some of the wines in recent and upcoming dinners:
